Fox threw in the towel on friday nights

    by jackdonkey

I'm thinking Gail Berman made it suck so hard that the new guy had no choice but to switch to movies on friday nights.

After watching the finale. This show is not worth 10 bucks.

    by lordenigma

Seriously, what the fuck happened with this show? How did it slide so fucking much? Killing Jonesy, Claire being evil, and now having Hawkins power? Good fucking riddance Carnivale. Do not let the door hit you on the ass on the way out.

    "Claire being evil"

Hey, pinhead, her name is Sofie.

I guess you really have been watching closely, huh?

They've been hinting Sofie is evil all along...

    by confabulat

I called it halfway through Season 1.

When she seduced the married man in the diner for no good reason.

We know her father is pure evil, and why do you think Mamma tried to kill her?

And people complain that they were surprised. Sheesh.

I mail $75 straight to HBO and they renew for a third season. Hell, forget $75 ... I'll mail $200.

  • Fucking geeks. Read; I can handle twist and turns just as much as any other hardcore TV watcher. The main problem I have with this show; it's utter boringness. It just goes nowhere. Turning SOFIE, type it with me, SOFIE, evil just comes across as very lame to me. Excuse me for having an opinion, but this show just needs to end. If you do not like it, then we are just in a disagreement. I also love the creator of this show trying to throw Deadwood under the box by saying his finale rated as highly as the last episode of Deadwood. Total dick move on that guys part. Deadwood, unlike Carnivale, has a future.

    Sofie

    by optimus122

Dude , the ONLY reason Carnivale may be on the chopping block is because of percieved poor ratings..what DK was trying to point out was Carnivales finale show rating was just about as good as super-hit Deadwood's ratings. And through out the whole season hints in most episodes showed that sophie was a big part of this struggle between good and evil and while she may be evil now it doesn't mean she will stay evil ( see Scudder ). Carnivale has a future , I love Deadwood but they better hope AL doesnt have any more episodes like the last 2 were he is sick all episode long because the show is not nearly as good without a lot of A.S. in it..

    Carnivales' Demise

    by glodene

As tragic as the (probable) demise of Carnivale is, at least we (with the small excepton of Optimus 122) can take solace in the renewal of the Citizen Kane of all cable programs: THE WIRE.

    ten bucks

    by godardwhowhatnow

You say the show's not worth ten bucks? Well... YOU'RE NOT WITH TEN BUCKS! Oh, and what's the deal with the retarded perception that one can't be a deadwood fan and a carnivale fan simultaneously? Oh, I remember. It's the BS "team" mentality that pervades geekdom.

Scudder was evil start to finish.

    by cookylamoo

Just because you get tired of running doesn't mean you're not evil. Name one good thing Scudder did for anyone. Plus he died right after committing murder.
