Ain't It Cool News (

UPDATED!!LOST Hiatus Cut Short!!New Episodes Air March 30 & April 6!!

I am – Hercules!!

This is two weeks earlier than previously thought. Here’s how things shape up going into May sweeps:

1.19 March 30. Deus Ex Machina. Locke makes hatch progress.
1.20 April 06. Do No Harm. Jack helps with labor pains.
1.21 April 20. The Greater Good. Sayid-centric.
1.22 April 27. Born to Run. Kate-centric.

UPDATE!! The Hollywood reporter just posted its story on the Museum of Television & Radio's Saturday "Lost" event, and one of the few new things revealed? The series finale will combine 1.23 and a 90-minute 1.24 to take up 2.5 hours of one May Wednesday night.

Another of the things I don't think I knew prior to this weekend: Jorge Garcia (Hurley) was the first cast. I also didn't know Garcia was a comedian.

The girlfriend gets really pissy on Wednesdays when there are no new LOSTs. It's gonna be a long, rough summer.

  • March 13, 2005, 10:44 p.m. CST

Hopefully The Shield makes for a good replacement...

    by Murraypalooza

This summer will be long. Very, very long. Hopefully my other trio of shows will keep me entertained until the Sept premiere of season 2. (The Shield, Rescue Me, The 4400)

  • March 13, 2005, 10:53 p.m. CST

    Who's writing?

    by Eshu

I'm more interested in who is writing these episodes than who they're spotlighting.

  • March 13, 2005, 10:57 p.m. CST

hahaha, they staill haven't got that hatch open?!! I dug the hel

    by xavier masterson

In the next episode, we'll finally learn how Locke became unable

    by Prof. Pop-Cult

And hopefully the writers will clearly tell us whether Locke's "medical condition" is physical or psychological.

  • March 13, 2005, 11:19 p.m. CST

Wow, so they didn't want to air 4 eps during sweeps

by RaylanGivens have no desire to watch the show and yet you feel the need to read articles about LOST and comment? I don't get it. If you're not interested in the show, why would you click on this link? Was it just to go with the "they Lost me" pun?

  • March 14, 2005, 1:21 a.m. CST

    this show sucks

    by AxeBox

The characters are lame. The format is lame. Every week we view a different take that makes the characters slightly different, without advancing the plot, yet further regressing in the obsurdity of the story. The first 2 episodes were brilliant (the pilot) - after this its like macguiver and all those crappy 80's shows that never moved past its initial setup. I'll also take this opportunity to voice my disgust over alias' 4th season: while the third might not have been nearly as good as the 1st and 2nd season - holy crap does season 4 suck!

  • March 14, 2005, 1:40 a.m. CST

    series finale?

    by BigDogg

Was that a typo or is this just a 1 season show?

  • March 14, 2005, 3:03 a.m. CST

    by Peter Venkman

Holy crap! Man alive, Carnivale has totally redeemed itself this year and sucker pucnhed us all! This has come out of left field and inherited the title of best show on TV! My god...I still can't believe how good this season has been. Every week, you think it can't get any better. My favorite scene of TV this season has been last week's episode when Jonesy realizes what Ben has done in the middle of the desert among the dead vultures. It brought a tear to my eye!

  • March 14, 2005, 3:24 a.m. CST

    AxeBox: moron or just misguided?

    by Tacodave

Seriously, dude, learn to spell. "obsurdity"? "macguiver"? Not only does your poor writing make your opinion seem less valid, but you say the show sucks, then reference how each episode is the same... How do you know if you aren't watching? And if you ARE watching, why do you waste time watching something that sucks? Your life must be boring...

    by darth sars

i like this show, but i've missed so many episodes now... my sister says she's planning on buying the dvd set when it comes out, so maybe i'll catch up that way. despite all the negative feedback on the format of the show, it continues to entertain me and a horde of other people from the looks of it...

  • March 14, 2005, 8:51 a.m. CST

Peter Venkman, totally riding shotgun with you on Carnivale

    by Liquid_Daze

Gorgeous show. Awesome acting. And how 'bout the current subplot of using religion to extract political influence from the poor and disenfranchised. Nice.

  • March 14, 2005, 8:59 a.m. CST

Forget CARNIVALE...where's my ROBOT CHICKEN talkback?

    by SpyGuy

Since Sarah Michelle Gellar was on last night's episode in a sketch about why there's no BUFFY Season 8, you would think there would be...

I really believe that AICNs needs a Carnivale TB. This season has been amazing and totally jumped started this once rather slow show. The tension builds every week and I am constantly worried that some of my beloved characters are going to be killed. I have really enjoyed Jonesy' subplot. The scene is the desert was amazing. The show is becoming epic, especially with the awesome score.

  • March 14, 2005, 10:44 a.m. CST

Hiatus cut short due to a weak rated new episode.

    by Mr. Profit

ABC knows that they are screwing with Lost, and are screwing with Alias. No new episode of Lost = Weak rated Alias. And the Hurley episode wasn't as highly rated as the other episodes this season. ABC must see the show's buzz is slowly going away and they want to stop the momentum shift. Again, I feel the show should begin again in January so that there are NO RERUNS!

  • March 14, 2005, 10:48 a.m. CST

does ANYONE know when or if this show will turn up in the UK?

    by judderman

Usually we Brits lap up US cult shows. What gives?

  • March 14, 2005, 11 a.m. CST

GOOD NEWS!!! But will it end or are they planning a 2nd season?

    by Hoke Mosley

I know someone said it was planned for 3 or 4 seasons, but is there an official source that says they are going for a 2nd season? Also, I heard they were moving from Hawai, because of some tax matter. arghh two weeks is better than three, but it's still a long time...

    by Grando

Last I heard E4 was going to be showing it. Why wait for slow ass UK channels to pick up quality US imports? Head to your friendly neighbourhood BT site and download them straight after US airing!

  • March 14, 2005, 12:15 p.m. CST

    UK, again...

    by Grando

Looks like July/August for E4 to finally get their ass in gear. Sheesh, no wonder the UK is number 1 in the world for downoading TV shows from BT......

  • March 14, 2005, 12:38 p.m. CST

    by cocolopez

The two best current shows are on the same channel back-to-back and there's no talkback dedicated to them... Deadwood and Carnivale- at least have a TB dedicated to both if not seperate ones... Week after week the best scenes- This week in Deadwood it was the whore Dolly with her thumb up Al's ass and in Carnivale it was Scudder going nuts eviscerating Wilfred Smith... I thought Harry was a huge Carnivale fan?

  • March 14, 2005, 1:54 p.m. CST

    by cocolopez

I don't recall comparing anything, you twit. I said they were both great- and I'll stick to my guns- you muddleheaded cocksucker...

    by ComputerGuy68

There is what 2 eps.left? the next will really be MUST SEE TV

  • March 14, 2005, 6:13 p.m. CST

    by baj24

There will most definitely be a season 2 of Lost. The viewership is through the roof. They couldn't ask for more critical acclaim. Season 2 is a given. ABC would be nuts to not renew for another season.

  • March 14, 2005, 8:41 p.m. CST

I've seen the first two episodes of "The Shield"...

    by Uga

And trust me, it will keep you entertained in the summer months. Glenn Close makes a good addition, but the places where they've taken my favorite character - Shane - will keep me tuned in.

  • March 14, 2005, 8:44 p.m. CST

I stopped watching Lost because of this multiple hiatius BS

    by jimmy_009

I'll just wait till it comes on DVD

  • March 15, 2005, 12:57 a.m. CST

    by chaoslover01

I can recall when ALL shows ran straight through their new eps before going to reruns. I find it amazing that any sow doing that now is treated like a big deal. One of the fastest ways to kill a show is to cut up the new eps and scatter them across reruns. One of the reasons I stopped watching Buffy was this exact same thing. New ep, new ep, rerun, new ep, reruns for four weeks, then one new ep and more reruns. What retarded fuckwit thougth this was a good idea? BRING BACK CONTINUOUS RUNS!!

  • March 15, 2005, 2:26 p.m. CST

    by L.H.Puttgrass

I really like this show! It just gets better and better. But nevermind about Lost right now. I want to know what happened to the promised weekly 24 talkback! Last night Jack "The Man" Bauer put the smackdown on a well equiped, privately owned SWAT team and there was a major twist in the terrorist's motives (i.e. their target). Come on, Herc! You promised a weekly talkback for 24 on Feb. 21. What happened to the "Now-Weekly 24 Talkback"? Has it been denied "automatic talkback status"? ...and what of BSG? ...alas...

  • March 15, 2005, 3:26 p.m. CST

    thye missing links.......

    by cooper2000

I think they should find Sydney Bristow and Felicity on the other side of the island.
