New HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY photo hits! Vogon building interior!!

Published at:  Mar 10, 2005 7:48:36 AM CST

Ok, so this has been an adventure. The pic is back up, so go ahead and click the link at the bottom of the page for the pic!

Hey guys... sorry, but it seems The Hollywood News had to take down the pic... Shame, because there was nothing in the picture that was a super spoiler. It was mostly harmless, you could say... Zow! Is this thing on...? Anyway, sorry again... here's a link to Apple's Quicktime version of the last "internet only" trailer (which I'm hearing small rumblings that it may not be "internet only" for very long) to watch over and over again in order to cover the pain of not being able to see the still that was removed. Enjoy!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a new pic from the upcoming THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY. This pic comes from a scene in the film that is NOT from the original books... Let's just say that DentArthurDent, Zaphod and Ford have ventured forth into the Vogon homeworld in order to retrieve something very special. Alongside the John Malkovich scenes, this was my favorite of the new additions Douglas Adams came up with for the script and has one of DentArthurDent's best moments... but you'll see more when the movie comes out. Enjoy!

What the hell have they done to Martin's hair?

    by barrelrider

Ah well. Nicely spotted, TimTheEnchanter. And it baffles me that people come on this TB to talk about the SW trailer. Do you think doing that on a H2G2 talkback is going to suddenly make Quint go "shit, that guy's right! I must track down that shit copy of a trailer which is going to be released everywhere in a couple of days, just because one of the talkbackers mentioned it!! No offence, but why not go on the ROTS one-sheet TB to rant about that shit? Just an idea.

    by 007-11

It's hard to pull off the old "big toothy grin while shooting with an imaginary gun in the direction of the person you're speaking with", but he's doing a lot with it. Jason Lee is the only other person I can think of to execute it well.

    HHGTTG >>>> SWEPIII

    by minastirithii

Well, HHGTTG is sure to get better reviews then you typical lame SW Episode, which I no longer count which one they are on, cause I could give a frak about SW, besides the fact that it's finally going to end, for good.

The trailers keep saying April 29, and the "official" movie site says May 6? Anyone know? Oh, and "please don't let this suck."

And why Arthur has Marvin's arm...

When Slarti Bartfast asks for Athurs name, that was the reply, DentArthurDent, which Slarti Barfast goes on to say, DentArthurDent.

  • Look at that stupid/sly grin. That is casting perfection. Now if only he had two heads visible at all times, then I'd be happy. Or as close to it as I'm capable of becoming.

Bother...I'll try later. ** Hey, get used to it at AICN...every friggin' Talk Back has to have some dipwad going on about Star Wars no matter what the actual subject of the TB happens to be. They're a thin skinned bunch though so be careful and not critize or anything...you'll get F-F-F-FLAMED {[:^)

    by barrelrider

...and the SW thing only got really bad after TPM came out - hopefully it will start to rapidly die off after May this year. So: nah, I'll never get used to it, and it's actually not true that every talkback gets hijacked by SW fans - it's mainly the sci-fi ones. I've never seen somebody bring up Star Wars on a TB about John Boorman, or one about some obscure Spanish Film Harry's flipping over. I wonder why that is....

Though I don't post here much anymore. But I have to say that ROTS might provoke a few thread hijackings. You know, for past indiscretions from 'competing' fans. Lucas may have redeemed himself.
