Pic from mysterious year 2000 Pixar film

Published at:  Aug 20, 1998 6:08:45 AM CDT

Hey folks, here's a pic of some conception art for what is allegedly the mysterious fourth Pixar film. I've heard it's codename as HIDDEN CITY, which is actually the name of the Director's favorite restaurant. I've heard it called LITTLE MONSTERS and one person even told me it was called UNDER YOUR BED (a more dreadful title I've never heard). The rumor has it that the subject matter is about a kid that travels to the world of monsters that live under his or her bed. Of course this is all bald faced rumors, nothing really tangible has come about yet. What I do know is this is reliable, it comes from an established resource inside of Pixar, and it looks kinda cool.

    Little Monsters Remake?

    by dash rendar

Little Monsters Remake??? Are you freakin kidding me? For craps sake, that movie sucked! We should all hope that Pixar does not remake Little Monsters. If you liked Little Monsters then you probably thought a Movie like Armageddon deserves 12 Oscar Nominations. Well, whatever...lets hope if its a remake that its one of Dracula or something. Later.

    My Pet Monster Remake?

    by billy west

It would be so cool if they would remake the hit flick My Pet Monster to celebrate the 15th aniversuary of the plush doll.

of all the things Pixar could make for the year 2000, they aren't going with the best fanboy choice of all...

  • Alright as a kid I loved Little Monsters but that really has nothing 2 do with what Im talkin about. This Movie may be loosely based on the same story line (a kid goes under his bed to the world of monsters or something like that) but I doubt it will go any farther.....and think of all the great things they could do with that. It's like a whole movie of the Sid's house part of Toy Story. I think it sounds phat as hell.

The REAL name of the movie.

    by jason johnston

The name of the movie is "Monsters, Inc." I got it from the Coming Attractions web site: http://corona.bc.ca/films/mainFramed.html . Go there and look at the animation genre section.

    Little Monsters--The Screenplay

    by kagemusha

I've never seen the live-action LITTLE MONSTERS, but I should tell you that its originial screenwriters (the amazing Terry Rossio and Ted Elliot) also think it sucks. For comparison, check out their script in the archives at http://www.wordplay.com (a site I recommend for any number of reasons, especially to wannabe screenwriters). If the Rossio/Elliot LITTLE MONSTERS is actually being made (it's almost not fair to say "re-made"), given the fact that this was their first screenplay and they've learned worlds since it was first put together, this new project could wind up as something special.

    Little Monsters: Sounds familiar

    by goldenchild

If I remember correctly there was an old movie called "Little Monsters" that had that exact same premise. The monsters lived under the kids bed and came out at night and the kid was the only one who was alowed to see them. Is this movie just another remake? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

The URL for the original Rossio/Elliot LITTLE MONSTERS screenplay is as follows:

    Enjoy, fellow scribes.

The Pixar Hoop-la...I don't get it

    by hacksaw

I don't understand how a movie company that is totally devoted to computer animation gets such a tremnedous amount of coverage at Ain't It Cool news. Quite frankly i think that such devotion to computer animation is not only frivilous and idiotic, but a true waste of value readers time like you and I.
Pixar ... Shimixar...who cares ...not me

If you can't spell any better than that, and are thusly unable to communicate so that anybody can understand you, please don't bother to attempt to share your tiny thoughts. Or, perhaps, have your mom help you type them.
