  Being a HUGE fan of the original, I am a bit skeptical. Remaking The Fog next? Are John Carpenter films now considered so old they need to be remade? The sad thing is, Carpenter had such an amazing "eye", that his films are timeless. No one will be able to capture the low budget, but very impressive "look" of his old films. Throwing a pile of money on a table and saying "Remake this film, and create something bigger and better!" usually leads to a steaming pile of shit.
