Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright send you a video reminder about the SOTD DVD!!!

Published at:  Dec 09, 2004 3:00:11 PM CST

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a video reminder to pick up the SHAUN OF THE DEAD DVD on the 21st from the director (Edgar) and star (Simon). They look a little down in the dumps... I know they're writing their next movie, but damn it looks like its taking a toll on them! They look positively DEAD.

Anyway, from what I understand, the US SHAUN DVD comes with all the features of the UK DVD (minus a couple of the extra commentaries), but with some extra goodies just for us Americans, including, but not limited to, more usage of the word "Cunt" in the Special Features! SHAUN OF THE DEAD: MORE CUNTS FOR XMAS EDITION! Fuck yeah! Anyway, enjoy the video message provided by the good folks at The Horror Channel!

. . .would have been better if they included some zombie vs. shark action!

  • Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg created THE FUNNIEST show in history with the UK (sitcom?) Spaced. Shaun Of The Dead is decent, but can't touch Spaced. Sorry, but it's true.

    Too bad about the commentaries

I thought those were the best extras on the R2 dvd. Of course, extra cuntage ain't never a bad thing, so I'll just have to double dip on this one.

    Spaced is awesome....

... but, The Office is the best UK comedy. I wish they would release Spaced in Region 1 NTSC. I would buy the DVDs then cause I could watch them on my stand alone instead of on my computer.

Boy, Simon Pegg really chunked out.

He must be on the same diet that Nick Frost is on.

Shaun will sit very nicely next to Spaced Season 1 & 2

I'd have to agree with Doom II, even though the Office is a brilliant brit show, Spaced still blows it out of the water. Spaced would be up near the top of my fave brit shows list but it still has the tough job of knockin' off Red Dwarf, Fawlty Towers, and Flying Circus for the title of all time best britcom.

    spaced...

I bought series 2 of Spaced, and while it's great (the Manhattan homage at the start makes it all worthwhile, plus the northern irish e-head) i still prefer Shaun Of The Dead. At the minute, anyhow. Liable to change.

But Spaced isn't as good as The Office, Phoenix Nights or Black Books, although those three are pretty much tied at the top.
