Meet Edgar Wright In LA... TONIGHT!!

Published at:  Sep 17, 2004 5:30:19 PM CDT

Hi, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab...

Okay... by now you’ve heard us babble about our love of SHAUN OF THE DEAD over and over and over, and you’re either ready to see it or ready for us to shut up already. If you’re one of those LA readers who are planning to take advantage of tonight’s studio sneak previews playing around town, might I suggest a few specific showings you would be interested in?

Say you were to go to see the film at the Mann’s Criterion in Santa Monica at 9:30. Odds are you’d run into Edgar Wright there for a Q&A afterwards. Same thing if you attend the 10:30 show at the Arclight in Hollywood. How is this possible? Simple. The man’s been cloned. He is everywhere. And once you see SHAUN OF THE DEAD or once you get hold of that primo new SPACED DVD set from the UK (or tune in to watch the series starting next week on Trio), you’ll understand that cloning Edgar Wright is a very, very good thing for all of us. Now he can make 30 movies at once. I heartily endorse this idea.

"Moriarty" out.

    Wow, I might go

Sheesh, I haven't been to a movie since Hero came out, and now I want to see Shaun, Ghost in the Shell 2, and Sky Captain all at once! Decisions, decisions.

    I HATE THAT FUCKER!!

He is dating Charlotte Hatherley of Ash, the best looking person to ever pick up a guitar (and play in a fairly popular band). Lucky motherfucker. Saying that Shuan Of The Dead is a great film. Anyway, It's now 22:55 and I live in the UK so chances of meeting him are preety slim.

    Shaun

Yeah, I ain't getting a Learjet to LA either. I guess I'll have to do without Edgar for one night, but I've seen so much of him from the Shaun DVD that that'll probably make quite a nice change for a bit. Anyway, If you're going to get the SPACED DVD, why not just shell out the extra few quid and buy Shaun of the Dead too - it's just come out here with some excellent special stuff. The commentaries and outtakes are particularly great, just like with SPACED.
