The latest report from World Con has come in for you to read, so I'll let you do just that!!!

I did get to go to the B5 video presentation today. Here is what
happened....

We were first shown a "music video" called "Welcome to the third age" which
was just clips of the show and Franke's scoring... ho hum....

A short trailer was shown for "River of Souls". It was just various random
clips from the movie. The clip previously described of the "holo" Lochley
was in there, but Lochley wasn't part of the group. It was Garibaldi, Zach,
and the guy who "commishioned" the work. (More on that later.) There also
was a very funny scene of Corwyn demonstrating to Lochley the use of a "Love
Bat". Has to be seen to be believed...

The test footage of the Excaliber was shown. It fit the description of
everything I've heard so far. Long, thin with a tri-tail. Makes White
Stars look tiny. The spokeswoman says that it is destroyer class and can
carry GROPOS, Thunderbirds, and StarFuries.

The big suprise today was the first act of "River of Souls". It had just
arrived today. The following is spoiler fodder, so don't read if you don't
want to know...

It starts at a ruin on a planet. A group of archeologists are digging at
the site. The main guy uncovers a symbol, one side the symbol of life, the
other of death. He orders the digging to continue, despite the protest of
his second. They find the opening to a new room. Meanwhile, the scene
shifts outside, where a large glowing ball surfaces out of the ground.
Shift underground. They enter a large room with lights along the walls.
The main guy says that the room contains souls, which his second scoffs at.
Main guy touches one of the glowing objects and ghostly voices seem to be
comming from them. They then hear ships outside. Second says that they
should all get out. The team leaves except for the leader, who stops to
pick up one of the objects. He starts to leave when he sees his ship being
destroyed by a Soul Hunter ship. He cowers in the cave as the ship passes
by.

Main Title.

Switch to B5 where Lockley is shopping and Corwin is following. She is
talking about how quiet things have gotten since Sheridin and Delenn have
gone to Minbar and Garibaldi has gone to Mars. She talks about what she now
dubs the "Sheridin and Garibaldi effect", which is thing tend to go to hell
when they are on the station. Eventually, she asks Corwin what he wants to
talk about. That is when he tells her that Garibaldi is on the station and
wants to talk to her. A fistfight then breaks out as they leave. Camera
falls on a guy at a bar. He finishes his drink and leaves through a door.
He meets up with a shopkeeper and a woman at a shop. The guy asks the
shopkeeper if it is ready. The shopkeeper asks for the picture. The guy
gives him a picture of Lochley. The shopkeeper goes to his console and
enters the information. A holographic projection is created of Lockley
dressed as a whore. The guy is obiously drooling over it. The shopkeeper
asks him if he needs any d!
irection on its use. The guy says no and directs him to the back. The
shopkeeper tells the woman a bad pun, then you hear a shock and a yelp come
from the back. The Shopkeeper yells, "Damn! I knew I should have given him
directions!".

Switch to Lockley's office. She is talking to Garibaldi. You find out that
he has married Lise and has taken over Edgar Bennett's holdings. He is
currently investigating some of his more unsavory holdings and is on B5 to
interview a contact. Lockley asks if he is still sober and he says he is.
Garibaldi informs her that the contact would be meeting his contact in her
office, which she gets upset about. "Would you also like the use of my room
while you are at it?". "No, but thank you for the offer." Garibaldi's
contact has arrived and it is the lead archeologist. Lockley and him start
a very good conversation, which annoys Garibaldi to no end. He finally
breaks in and says that they have to leave. As they leave, Lochley asks if
he has found anything interesting. "Yes, I have found something quite
facinating..." End of clip.

Three Blooper reels were then shown. The first being the movies and first
half of 5th season. The next being second half of 5th season. The last one
being the best of 1-5. Absolutely hilarious. I'm going to miss those guys.

Some things I forgot from yesterday: JMS talked about how B5 was about the
questions who are you, what do you want. The questions in Crusade will be:
Who do you serve? and Who do you trust? Interesting....

Also, there are going to be at least two more trilogies of books coming out.
The first deals with the Psi Corps, from their beginings to Bester's death.
The second will deal with the Technomages.
