Wanna see a little behind the scenes clip from Cameron Crowe's ELIZABETHTOWN'

Published at:  Aug 26, 2004 6:43:30 AM CDT

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with the very first story I'm posting with my brand new pretty Powerbook... Let me tell you... After working off of Windows ME for 2 years... I feel like I'm in heaven... But you don't give a shit about that, you want the goods...

What I got for you is a little behind the scenes clip Crowe has up on his official site. You don't really get a feel for the story, but you get gratuitous Orlando Bloom shots and Kirsten Dunst being cute as all hell while talking on a cell phone. I, for one, can't wait for this flick. ALMOST FAMOUS is fantastic and I have no doubt ELIZABETHTOWN will be any less than that.

Alec Baldwin in a supporting role (I hope)

    by big-boy-bob

He's just been so good in supporting roles recently, almost as if he loves the challenge of stealing a movie from the star. If the star is Orlando Bloom it cant be hard, he's one of the most one-dimensional, wooden actors with a prettyboy face around. He only gets jobs cos he played Legolas and that only required him to look pretty. Still can't blame the guy for getting what he can before the new flavour of the month comes and steals his limelight and leaves him in the wayside of Hollywood has been's.

Awww...What a quaint lil' ole slice of Americana.

Campfire singalong about the simple pleasures of life(probably).People looking cute/wacky/toughtful. Alec Baldwin. It just warms the cockles of my heart, like a hug from a childhood sweetheart or being tag-fucked by team USA.

    That was freakin' weird

    by rylrci

This film stars two of the most prominent on/off actors of the younger generation. Kirsten Dunst and Orlando Bloom, who for some roles can act, but for others just seem to drift. Remember how bad Kirstin was in the original Spiderman? And how bad Orlando was in Troy? But then, Orlando's pretty good in LOTR, and I imagine Kirstin's pretty good in bed. Oh wait...

    That plot description sounds familiar

    by napoleondynamite

A depressed guy flies home for the funeral of a recently depressed parent and meets a hot chick who reinvigorates his life. I think I just saw that movie. It was called GARDEN STATE. I have faith in Crowe, though, I'm sure it will at least be watchable.

JERRY MAGUIRE and ALMOST FAMOUS are so overrated

    by beamish13

(I've never seen the "Untitled" cut of ALMOST FAMOUS).

JM is full of stupid, obnoxious characters, while ALMOST FAMOUS is predictable and has too much Spielberg-esque sappiness.

Never seen VANILLA SKY, and I don't intend on doing so

I want that 5 minutes back..

    by janemangle

what a waste of time.. On another note, I have to disagree with one thing you said Big Boy Bob. I thought Bloom was good in Troy. He was a selfish, pretty boy, weakling, just like he was supposed to be. I do agree with you that he was good in lotr, but it's not that hard to run around in fake ears saying "oooh.. I sense something." Any pretty face could have done that role.

Vanilla Sky was fucking terrible. And not just because of L. Ron Hubbard's pride and joy, the dependably infuriating Mr. Cruise.

I, for one, loved the vibe off of this footage/video....

    by riskebiz

Anyone know the name of the song playing behind this footage? The whole preview gives the vibe of the best moments in Almost Famous, I think. It appears that Crowe is back in rare form after that Vanilla Sky exercise. I am now really looking forward to this movie!! I hope it keeps the same vibe as this preview ...

  • I actually thought the theatrical version of Almost Famous was merely an okay film. I became a huge fan when the Untitled version came out on DVD ... The hour (or more) of extra scenes put back in make that a very, very different movie and I think if that version had been released in the theaters, it would have won a ton more Oscars. Untitled is simply fantastic. It is far far better than the theatrical version.

Sounds like Mark Kozelek from RED HOUSE PAINTERS or his new band, SUN KIL MOON. Believe it or not, Kozelek is in ALMOST FAMOUS as a member of STILLWATER.
    Best Wishes,
