I remember when it used to be good.

For once us Brits can be all smug about having had this little gem ages ago. For all those doubters who will tell me to stick this stupid film in my stupid ass. For once judge this after you have seen it. I was in stitches from start to finish, lots of geek moments of fun, but pure comedy all the way through. Fantastic acting, amazing directing, but the script is just genius. After watching this you must all go and buy Spaced 1 & 2, pure genius. And Spaced series 3 is on the way!!!!! Can't wait......

Here, click on the Con website for our exclusive?! Who exactly is "our" panel going to consist of? Quint is a nice guy, met him at CCon like...what three years ago?

Hey, Edgar! Any chance of shipping the Zombie Twins over?
by charlie & tex
Seriously, there are three good reasons why: 1)We'd look good for publicity purposes - even if we did have to wear those bloody contact lenses again. 2)We always create an impression when posing for photos 3) Most importantly, we'd do it for a free trip to the US! Lol!

As a big fan of Spaced, I was hoping for more of the same with Shaun of the Dead. It's funny for the first while, but turns more serious as the film progresses. It's good, but not great. Lower the hypemeter a bit and you'll have a good time.

This was the most satisfying movie I've seen in a very long time. Funny, extremely quotable and I actually cared what happened to the characters. Pure pleasure.

For anyone who is interested the UK DVD release is schedulesd for October 11. see http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/content.php?contentid=11946 for artwork

I would hate for Americans to buy into all the hype and rush out to see this film as if it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. It isn't. Yah, it's a watchable movie with some nice humour and some good bits, but this is in no way the classic it's made out to be.
6.5/10, no more -
As much business as it's had on this site. Here's hoping.

I already downloaded it..

Who the Hell is even going to bother to watch this thing. It's

Not that I've downloaded and watched it or anything you understand....

You deserve to be smug, if you were involoved with the production or distribution of this wonderful film. Instead, your only connection to SOTD is having paid to see it in a movie theatre. Whoop-de-friggin-doo. How can you as a man take pride in the work of others?

and its drooling like a Zombie on a diet...CHEERS Amigos!
-
I'm glad it's coming here, since I already had my Shaun costume together for Halloween. Now I won't have to explain it to everyone.

1 week after Resident Evil:Apocalypse opens...and up against Sky

...not exactly the best time to open it; I hope a general audience finds it. I'm sure as hell looking forward to it. This should have come out in the summer where teens/college kids could have had a blast with it, instead of waiting until schools start.

Yeah, Shaun Of The Dead is not bad, some funny bits, its full our typical British humour so the US will like it.Plus we've been missing out on comedy horror movies.
