BLADE: TRINITY Official Site Online With Trailer In Quicktime Now!!

Published at:  Jun 30, 2004 10:40:40 PM CDT

Hi, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab...

I’m disappointed that the Cinerama Dome did not show this trailer in front of SPIDER-MAN 2 last night at the midnight show. Seems like it would have been the perfect crowd. Still, New Line did right by getting this up and online today, and the site itself is pretty spiffy considering it’s all just teaser at this point:

Just a small note:

If you check out the website for the movie RIGHT HERE, you'll notice a series of glyphs on the bottom of the screen. Two things stand out: the third glyph from the left is the same glyph Hannibal shows on his torso in the trailer, and the last glyph (farthest on the right) shows a graphic if you click on it. The graphic clearly depicts Dracula in some 'beast' form, as confirmed by the fact that the hand (or claw, rather) matches the claw that is briefly visible as bursting out of the sand in the untombing scene of the trailer.

Call me Druid if you post this.

Can’t wait to see this one and see how Goyer does as a director. He’s been the one constant through all the BLADE films so far, and I’ve had a lot of fun watching this series, so fingers crossed for a fitting conclusion.

"Moriarty" out.

Love the style on the photos-turned-illustrations. Very impressive for a teaser site. But what's the big-headed thing...second to last glyph from the right?

Because every other time the media covers him . . .

    by kenkrk

He's pissing people off. If it's not claims of him smackin' around Halle Berry when they were dating, he's publically badmouthing other actors and filmmakers. I was esepcially pissed at his comments about the Shaft re-imagining back in 2000. He said he didn't take the role because he thought the script was "terrible", but said the film would have made more money had he starred in it. He even referred to himself in third person. . . by his last name!! But whenever I watch Blade or Blade 2, I can't help but be giddy because both films just kick total ass, much of it due to his involvement. I think he'd do well to re-evaluate his attitude, and maybe he'd get some more high-profile roles.

KenKRK: Whatever you think of Snipes, he was right about SHAFT.

    by mosquito march

It was like Singleton, Jackson & Co. were actually afraid of the character Roundtree played. It's the same reason the modern, politically-corrected James Bond doesn't work as well as the '60s Bond. James Bond movies are about (fucking) beautiful women and killing badguys. That's what those Blaxploitation movies were about. They de-fanged SHAFT because they were afraid of offending people. So, then, what was the point in even making it? They blew it.

    by gilkuliehe

You know, one thing has always bugged me. You know Jurassic Park? The scene where the kids, the babe and the Antichrist are hanging from the Skellington and the lizards are chasing them? Well, the lizards jump on the Skellington and brake it in pieces, so it's more exciting, and at one point, they all fall and immediately get up to face the lizards... well, check this shit, everyone that gets up it's the same that fell, EXCEPT for the babe, who suddenly is a complete different person. And as if it wasn't enough to change the actress, Spielbergo goes and pulls a dolly shot on the face, as if he himself were impressed to find that OTHER blonde in there. Now, what the fuck was that about, huh? Gilkuliehe has spoken.

    by mortsleam

Say it with me now, "One...two...three...BANNED ASSHOLE!" Uhm, that said, Blade Trinity might be good. Never thought Parker Posey would pull off menacing, but she does look kinda scary in the short glimpse we get in the trailer. She'd look scarier in an L.L. Bean sweatshirt and braces, screaming for the Busy Bee, though...

    by mr. profit

I liked it more than Part 1. I don't get how it becomes cool to hate on stuff. The CGI was flawed in some parts, but so was the CGI in Spidey and Spidey 2. Cut the film some slack....

SS didn't intend on the actress looking up at the camera. She was just a normal stunt double. Instead of doing another take, he took the "we'll cover it in post" road.

    by crimsoncinder

Well I personally liked both blade movies. 2 different and moving pictures. I just hope the last one goes out with a bang and not a whimper. Too early to tell for anyone here. I personally dont like to see trailers before the movies come out. At least we could say we got 2 good movies out of 3 if this one stinks. See highlander for a shitty ratio.

    by perineumlick

Some of you guys nitpick too much. If a flick is entertaining, why beat it down because of a few rough spots. CGI is not perfect; every flick that uses it has seams. Blade 2 was an honorable follow up that actually tried to add more horror elements to the action formula. And admit it, Nomak and the Reapers where some of the more impressive vampires in recent memory. I think Blade 3 will do just fine, unless your just a hypercritical fanboy who expects fantasy to mirror reality too closely.

I was wanting to say, the question on everybody's mind is, will this film have another boyband hasbeen as the bad guy? ... There, I've finally said it. Of course, it's not the question on everybody's mind, I was only pretending! And just to remind people, (singing loudly) "WHEN ... WILL I ... WILL I BE FAMOUS?? I CAN'T ANSWER, I CAN'T ANSWER THAT ..." I bet most of you don't even know what I mean.

It looks good. Best trailer I've seen for it so far.

    by devil'sown

Maaan, we're all such jaded little fan- folks now, aren't we? Granted, there has been a glut in the cold, bold vampire- hunter field lately. But still, I would assert to this day that Blade's in a class by himself, and I'd like to think only those those with limited imaginations would dismiss the character's potential, or write him off as "done".

    by zone zero

Freaking heat killing, push stopping, big nosed elitist prick of a bastard who porks the bosses daughter since he has no talent. I hope Blade freaking skewers him. But Trips would no-sell that, low blow him, and immediately go for the Pedigree. Friggin' Triple H.
