The DVD set doesn't do them justice, though because they don't have the videos, and that was some of the best humor in the show!
June 24, 2004, 12:37 a.m. CST
Damnit, it's about time we get some Beavis and Butthead.

What happened to that proposed sequel. I know I've seen a picture of the duo in Hollywood setting in 1997-era entertainment magazine...

Too bad The Onion is all about creating FAKE news. I doubt what ever Mike said was true, hell I bet the whole story is fake.

I'm enjoying the re-run episodes on MTV late at night. I think it would be great if they made another movie about these two Boneheads. Bring on the nachos!

i think this could do well in America but only there. There is no B&B momentum anywhere else since the last movie.

this would have to be one of the coolest things i've ever heard..da-da..dadada..dadadadada..da-da-da=(from B&B's haunting rendition of smoke in the water)

Kind of acts like him too. Just about the same I.Q. level. I do believe Mike Judge was giving us a warning. . .

Face it: B&B ragging on the music videos were always the funniest segments of the show. Oh, and Judge's "Untitled" project is a shameless rip-off of Futurama.

and they will go 'plop'. name that B&B video reference! those of you looking for the "real" B&B eps (with videos), need to head over to kazaa. there is a veritable asspot, which is slightly more than a buttload, of 'em. do a search for 'beavis' and look for the 20~50 meg files. my brother in albuquerque actually lives in the shadow of judge's old high school - highland HS! i wonder if there's a prinicpal there resembling mcvicar..
June 24, 2004, noon CST
That is the only reason I ordered that channel. But I would love to see a new movie for this day and age...all the crap that's happened since 1996 through the eyes of Beavis and Butthead would be hilarious.

It's the video by Danzig, I think. I forget the title of the song.

They should just start turning up in Hank Hill's front yrad, asking to mow the lawn. I'm thinking of changing my name to DarthDeadFranchise.
June 24, 2004, 1:32 p.m. CST
You're right... they did do a sequel that's sitting on a shelf somewhere as we speak. Don't know if it will ever see the light of day. I'm under the impression that Mike was mad with MTV and that's why it never came out.
June 24, 2004, 2:18 p.m. CST
famous x wins something ....uhhhh....huh-huh...something that's really cool... and doesn't suck. yeah, and it rules....IT RULES!!! someone mentioned the eventual censoring by mtv due to the darwinian fire problems around the country. i think the censoring actually improved the show. the video with the guy on fire running down the street in slo-mo and all beavis can get out is "ooooohhhhhh...oooohhhhhh". or the (almost) fire bits where beavis blurts out "liar!" or "higher!" good stuff maynard.
June 24, 2004, 3:22 p.m. CST
In an age where "Shreck 2" breaks all box office records, Maybe Beavis, and Butthead can revjuvinate the dying medium of 2D animation. Besides, Paramount, and Nick already have the "Spongebob" movie ready for November. So maybe they still belive in 2D while the rest of Hollywood has jumped on the 3D bandwagon. The question is, will people embrace still the demented duo, or will the complain about the fact that they're not animated in 3D?
June 24, 2004, 4:53 p.m. CST
Funniest fucking thing I've seen in animation. I was just watching Beavis and Butthead a few nights ago while eating Nachos ( go figure ) and drinking beer and that one scene came up. I started laughing so hard that fucking beer and chunks of Nachos came out of my nose. I SAY GO FOR IT MIKE...CHEERS Amigos!

THE MAXX is still totally unavailable on DVD, astonishingly, and it was easily MTV's most thoughtful and well-made show ever
June 24, 2004, 5:32 p.m. CST
but it's always been a bit too preachy (even though I do agree with Trey and Matt's politics). Once a show is around for more than a few years, the quality inevitably goes down...
June 24, 2004, 6:27 p.m. CST
if they made beavis and butthead in 3d i would shit on the theater and everything else involved. that would be the worst move ever. id probably beat up my dog. also south park is fucking awesome and it keeps getting better as they wear down the censors more and more. and the maxx and aeon def need dvd releases, i guess the head too cuz i would def watch it again, but i wasnt a huge fan. oh yea and mtv sucks. they act like they are so cool, but they are one massive vagina. all they do is pussy out on all their shit. if south park had been on mtv it wouldve been canceled along time ago.

Read the interview yesterday. It was all right, though I can't believe we're back to THAT again; "this is a rip-off of 'Futurama!". That's like saying that "NYPD Blue" is a rip-off of "Barney Miller". After all, they are both ensemble shows about cops.

...and for the record since the 3rd season The Sopranos has sucked ass. Beavis and Butthead were great though. We never got to see them rip on the Boy Bands and Britney sluts. It would do great if they made new ones.
June 24, 2004, 10:40 p.m. CST
South Park's episode about immigration (the people from the future) was about the most fair treatment of the subject I've ever seen. Especially good was the part where the self-righteous, holier-than-thou, platitude-spouting father changed his attitude when he lost HIS job whereas before he was happy to exploit the cheap labor, and the part of the 'aging liberal hippie douche' who effectively showed just how absurd the reflexive leftwing attacks on anyone who dares raise concerns about immigration are. Anyway, another Beavis and Butthead movie might be good, though I think its inherently better as a half hour show. Over an hour is a bit much to take at one time.

This is really great news...if it actually happens. I got one of the B&B sets they sell on TV for Christmas as was a bit disappointed they did not have the videos in them. Probably a licensing issue. I would have to say that anytime the Grim Reaper video would come up for ridicule was pretty awesome. But nothing was as good as Cornholio! I NEED TP FOR MY BUNGHOLIO!!!!! The Belt Has Spoken!
June 27, 2004, 3:52 a.m. CST
are the funniest. The ones that ran once on MTV, then were edited to bits and sanitized. B&B go to the drive in and Butthead takes the F from Field of Dreams on the marquee and holds it in front of the T from Tucker? Huffing stove gas? Starting fires? You know that shit was hilarious. A few showings of that, though, and the show became rife with on-screen disclaimers during the cartoons and those stupid commentary-on-the-videos shitz. Fuck MTV sideways with a rusty crowbar.
