I am – Hercules!!

“24” badass Jack Bauer routinely cuts off heads and limbs to further the counter-terrorism unit’s efforts, but he’s not yet beat a man to death with his own arm. And I guess we’re not going to see it on the WB’s version of “Global Frequency” either.

Showrunner John Rogers discusses this and other ways the WB’s midseason “Global Frequency” TV series will differ from Warren Ellis’ brilliant and beloved (and no longer ongoing – the final issue of “Global Frequency” just hit the stands Wednesday) comic book series here.

    The WB?

    by tar heel

You're kidding me? The netlet that dumped Buffy and Angel but keeps Charmed? This sounds more like a Fox show. Or at least UPN. The WB will kill it.

Kill it? Maybe... Castrate it? Definitely.

I've a feeling they're planning on turning this project into their own "24", except in an accelerated manner. Kinda like how "Threat Matrix" was a weak ABC "24". Instead of "Each day/season there's a major crisis", it's "Each day/episode there's a major crisis." Intense drama, big threats, but... in this case... it's not a government agency or anything. Wonder if they'll have the cybernetic operative, with the gnarly arm? The bloodbaths & fatalism of the comic (which FINALLY finished up this week) will probably be absent or watered down. Could be fun, could be a disaster.

Sorry to sound cynical, but I doubt this is ever going to air on

All the 1-hrs are just teens or family-with-teens dramas, the exception being Charmed.
