WB ought to give up on the new Superman movie and make a live-ac

    by felatiohornblowr

Let's face it, even if the new Superman isn't as bad as it sounds, there's no way it's going to match the original Richard Donner Superman. Why remake a movie if you can't it better? The success of X-Men has shown that people can accept a team of superheroes in a movie. Justice League would even have an advantage in that it's members are mostly more recognizable to the general public than the X-Men were. Also, with a team of heroes casting would not be as big of a deal so long as the cast worked well together, again like the X-Men. The more I think about it, the more I wonder why this hasn't happened already. C'mon, WB, let's get the ball rolling on this. And release the rumored Donner cut of Superman II while you're at it.

It was pretty darn good ... and **SPOILERS** the whole part with Batman revealing everyone's secret identities was classic.

    Hawkgirl

    by blackbeltjones

I did not hear the last few minutes of what was said between Hawkgirl and GL. Please tell me she did not leave. That would not be in her nature. And to screw GL after all that time of build up to the romance. Dammit, this sucks.

    by benjamingrimm

I didn't find the plan amusing because it was ridiculous, rather because it made me stop wondering why they didn't call him Katar Hall and made me start wondering why they didn't call him Prosthetnic Thanagarian Jeltz...

    What JLU is about...

    by falcon-1

From what I've read on the web, JLU is going to be similar to what we've been seeing this season, where only two or three of the heroes take the stage and the rest either are AWOL or in very minor roles. However, in this new form, we're going to be seeing more "guest-stars" from the DC Comics Universe take part in these adventures. In other words, there will be one or two of the primary team and one or two guest stars. Of course, this isn't going to be the case for every episode. For instance, one episode will be an adaptation of Alan Moore's "For The Man Who Has Everything" which only had Supes, Batman, Robin, and WW (I'm wondering if Robin will be in this one?). So far, announced guest stars include: Dr. Fate, Aquaman, Captain Atom, Firestorm, Green Arrow, Black Canary, The Atom, Mister Miracle, Big Barda, Supergirl, and Zatanna. I expect there will be more to come. Cartoon Network has contracted for two seasons of JLU.

is a "homage" to Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Most people seem to have worked this out for themselves, but certain individuals do appear to need some help (Mr Chainsaw definitely does!)

    by 007-11

I didn't really care for the Justice League when it first came out, but it has really grown on me. The movie wasn't quite "Mask of the Phantasm", but still very good. It also did a great job of reaffirming that Batman is a badass of the highest order.

    HRO TALAK!!!

    by slwalsh

"Hro Talak" rearranged is "Katar Hol." Considering his role in this finale, I can see why they didn't want to have it be "Katar."..............Ho Talag? Hawkman's name is "Ho?" Have you no shame?!?! :p

    by smash drama

Unless I'm severely mistaken Bats was wearing a rubber mask and a tuxedo that made him look like Alan Napier, the original Alfred the Butler from the 1960's TV series! Retro geek coolness!

    Anyone else notice....

    by tempusfugitive

...the little homage to the recent Avengers/JLA series? As they're breaking out of the prison ship, Batmane hands supermanone of the hawk-soldiers weapons, which looks remarkably like... Thor's Hammer! Ok, so maybe it wasn't intentional, but it got a snicker out of me anyway. All in all, I thought it was a strong episode, with Batman being written/used perfectly. Oh, and Adult Swim has its good and bad days. Sealab can be a riot, but usually lasts at least 5 minutes toolong. But Aqua Teen Hungerforce is truly one of the most obviously drug-induced shows ever "broadcast". And I mean that in a good way!
