New ANCHORMAN trailer has arrived... news at 11!!!

Published at:  May 24, 2004 3:28:54 AM CDT

Ahoy, folks! Quint here with a link for you Will Ferrell nutballs out there (I'm not excluding myself, people). ANCHORMAN has been looking good since the now infamous "boner" clip that played at BNAT last December. "Don't act like you're not impressed!" hehe... The last trailer was good, this one better... Gotta love that Oscar bait music... Will Ferrell is a comedic madman and I can't wait to see what he does in this flick!

And in this category we have Horsemen... Hor... like your mother... semen! No, wait... That's celebrity Jeopardy... This is for that ANCHORMAN trailer... sorry!

    This trailer is genius.

Probably gives far too much of the movie away, and who knows if the movie will live up to it...but damn, that's a good trailer. Is that Bill Curtis they got to do the VO? Sounds like a real news anchor, not a VO guy.

    Was that song...

"Book of Days" by Enya or "Southampton" by James Horner? I know that the latter was quite a deliberate riff on the former (at James Cameron's insistence, no doubt), but I really am curious as to which one they chose.

The Milady line was the best!

Will is an absolute deadpan genius. I hope they incorporate the footage we saw in the early rushes. The "you took a crap in my refrigerator?" bit was aces! That and his "the Human Torch was denied a bank loan" pre-show warmup was genius!

    Odds On Will

    Whaddya think:

Farrell stays as big as Eddie Murphy, Bill Murray, Mike Myers,Chris Rock, Adam Sandler?

Or goes down like Chevy Chase, Dan Ackroyd, Billy Crystal, David Spade and everybody else who was ever on SNL?

(Losing his career by dying like druggies John Belushi and Chris Farley, or druggie-wife victim Phil Hartman doesn't count; that would be bad taste.)

P.S. And, really, if it weren't for "Shrek" and "Austin Powers," how big would Murphy and Myers still be, anyway? And Rock ain't that big in movies.

P.P.S. I'm not sure where Rob Scheider figures in all this. But he's not a star.

Oh my god, that trailer rules...

Can Will Ferrel do no wrong? The funniest comedic actor to grace the screen in years...he makes anything watchable. Fortunately, he's had some pretty good material to work with so far.
please make more movies like Old School.
