Ahoy, squirts. Quint here... you ever stop and take a look around you... I know a whole bunch of people are shouting about much stupid shit is pumped out of Hollywood these days, but just stand back from it all for a moment... SPIDER-MAN has been made, the sequel is coming out in a few months and they're already gung-ho on the next one... X-MEN is having a great run... HARRY POTTER as well... THE LORD OF THE RINGS books have been made into modern cinema classics... BATMAN seems to be on the right track again... and currently in production is HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY... Sure, it's a scary time, but think about it. Hollywood is finally catering to the geek! Exploiting us a bit, maybe, but that's what we're here for!!! Anyway, our good friends at moviefans.de sent us this alert about the updating of the movie's official site. Enjoy!!!



HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY - Updates

I just want to let you know, that the Official Movie Website has been updated...

"Just a quick note to say ‘Don't Panic', we are in our fourth week ofshooting and with the first 15 minutes of the film in the can, we are now on the Heart of Gold set! Everyone involved from cast to crew have been an incredible help getting us to this point. We will keep you updated with our progress.

    I mean, sure he's smallER than people, but that sucker can overpower you if he gets mad. After the first picture I figured he'd be pretty harmless, you know: cute and relatively sophisticated, but you'd be able to pick him up and smash his head against a wall if you needed to. Like a puppy. But damned if he could pick that feller up with one hand. He'd probably kick me in the balls or something. I say we fight against these machines before they enslave us all.

    In fact, I use them regularly. And who the fuck cares if it was mentioned in an article? What Quint was getting at is that all the geek movies are getting made, the article had absolutely nothing to do with LOTR. I think you're taking things just a little too far. Although good call on the PJ is an Aussie thing. We'd be happy to claim him (along with the NZ government/political landscape... PLEASE!) for ourselves. And I have confidence in this project, because it's being made by people with the right (read, British) sense of humour

    I think that the middle of Marvin's head should actually be a sub-dimensional wormhole conduit that links to Marvin's REAL brain which is a planet-sized CPU core residing in a layer of subspace! Truly, a brain the size of a planet! But sadly, it would go way over most viewers heads though ...

    but he seems to have the body language for Marvin down right. Whose voice will they use for Marvin? I like the casting for Arthur, and I'm willing to take a chance on Mos Def as Ford. What will the Vogons look like?
