Ahoy, squirts. Quint here with a little link over to the fine folks at Cinema Blend. They have posted up the now infamous teaser trailer for SEED OF CHUCKY! I've heard some people knocking the trailer, but I really dig it. It's a true teaser the likes of which haven't been seen in horror since the glory days of NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3: THE DREAM WARRIORS... remember that one? Remember when this site actually ATTEMPTED to be the first to break news, and WASN'T just a collection of links and rumor allready posted on other sites? Remember when folks used to come here with hope and excitement, rather then the current hopelessness and dread? The idea that anyone actually Greenlighted this idea is only SLIGHTLY less frightening then the fear that someone out there may actually want to see it.

What's up with all the hatin' here? I'm looking forward to seeing this one. They decided in Bride of Chucky that the horror really wasn't selling, so they poured on the camp. It was surprisingly funny. This one looks about the same. And Ronny Yu killed three franchises? If you thought Freddy Vs Jason sucked, then get the fuck outta here.

Everyone in attendance either laughed or expressed their disgust that another Chucky sequel is on the way. I thought it was pretty funny(of course I'm a sick and twisted hairy ape).

Those POSes make money because they are date movie. Not terribly scary, not terribly gory and unfortunately not terribly funny either. But they do allow you especially if you are between the ages 15-25 to hold on to your date and make a move, when she IS scared or squeamish. Why else would I go to the first one in college. wink.

If anyone remembers BRIDE and how funny it was, this one might draw a crowd and make a little money. Question is, does anyone care? This character, like others before and after him, is now passe. Notice I didn't say Jason or Freddy. Or Alien or Predator.

Its been in the running for sometime now, but its finally coming SEED OF CHUCKY. (although a few years ago i did hear it was to be called SON OF CHUCKY)(better?) Whats everyones problem? I grant you the first one wasn't going out of its way, but the second was interesting, and the third "alledgedly" (and i use that term very loosely) inspired two 10 year olds here in the uk to abduct and kill a toddler. So yeah, the first three were kinda dubious. (you've only gotta be 15 to see the first one in the uk. By horror standards thats fuckin lame) So ronny yu's bride of chucky was going to have to try "VERY" hard to win back what few fans this franchise had, and maybe break even at the box office. He succeeded and then some. (so much in fact that i heard Peter jackson cast Brad dourif as grimer wormtounge based on his performance in said sequel) So another was always going to happen. So stop bitchin' go watch van helsing, and wait for seed of chucky. (cos your gonna watch it anyway)
