    This is fucking embarassing

    by pushthebutton

Tarantino is bieng a jackass. No one who watched this who didn't have an opinion on the guy and his movies before and gonna think the guy is a tool. I feel bad for the guests that have to sit there, be insuled, and play along with all the asshatness. Kimmel is never entertaining. Too bad Dicky Barrett and Joel Hodgson are stuck on it.

Does Frank Castle have to Choke a Bitch?(Quentin Tarantino)

    by samblackchvrch21

Can You believe the sack Tarantino has? You know, thats Great Kill Bill Vol 2 was #1, but to rub it in the face of Laura Harring and Embarrass her, as well as omitting from showing her clip from The Punisher was totally un-professional and makes him looks like a total dick. FUCK YOU QUENTIN, FUCK YOU KIMMEL, FUCK YOU HARRY. You are all embarrasments to the entertainment community and should be ashamed for yourselves. I hope the blowjob Tarantino gave everyone here at AICN for bashing the Punisher felt good.

    by rcamacho2278

he had all his stupid characters run around like some kinda SNL skit. Bashing the punisher???
And your gonna tell me Harrys review of the punisher didnt have anything to do with Tarantino and his connection???
After seeing this self gloating and self promoting for his movie, is it hard to admit that he could have told harry HEY WRITE A BAD REVIEW FOR THE PUNISHER FOR ME???
    wake up you fucken people!!!

    I liked it.

    by victorsc

I love Jimmy Kimmel live because they're willing to do unconventional stuff like this. I was never a Tarantino fan, but I really admire him for being up for anything and being different. Kudos to him.

    I Disagree...

    by vnhaln1

I gotta give QT props for doing what he did tonight. An A list director offering to direct an episode of a talk show (or any show for that matter). When have you ever seen that happen? Oh wait it never has. At least Kimmel show tries new things.

I rate late night talk shows in this order:

Letterman is the best by far. He is fast on the fly and makes for great interviews. He does not get the guests like Leno gets because Leno sucks up to the guests and is in LA so he gets better "A List" guests. So he makes alot of his own comedy. Most of the great late night events that have happened over the last 20 years have happened on Letterman.

Leno is tops rating wise but most of his viewers are senior citizens that don't have to work in the morning. He follows the same formula more or less that Steve Allen did when he started the tonight show way back. He doesn't ask any tough questions of guests and is more of a suckup then anything else.

Then in 3rd place is Conan. A truly brilliant man that has a loyal following. He also has Triumph. Sometimes the production values on his show seem cheap and some stuff just isnt funny.

Then you have Kimmel. I think he is pretty good and takes after his idol Letterman. But Kimmel relies too much on his family (cousin Sal and Uncle Frank) and some of his stuff just isnt funny. Future Talent Showcase is simply awful and sucks all the life out of a show. But he does take chances and gives new artists (musical or comedy) a chance.

And lastly I rate at the bottom of the barrel that vain egotistical Kilburn. He is so in love with himself and so arrogant. But in his favor he works really hard to try and get the hottest "buzzworthy" women on his show.

I'm with LostHighway, there's no comic I'd rather listen to for an extended period of time than Steven Wright. What an incredibly funny guy.

A waste of time...geez! The end of the show was stupid and painful. Hmmm...think I'll make a movie; "Screw Q, Vol. 000" LOL.

  • It's a publicity stunt on a talk show on network TV in a post-Janet's boob flash world that was thrown together in maybe a week. It's not like this was a trilogy of movies in which the first was so inventive everyone rushed to copy it, but sadly even though several years passed till they made the 2 sequels the sequels were pathetically conceived and ham-fisted leaving the majority of the audience feeling cheated. It wasn't that great, but really, given the circumstances, what did you expect?

    The Darkness were Awesome

    by george newman

And they didnt wimp out on the falsetto either! I've even heard Queen not go for som of those notes in live concert. Although, the keyword there is 'Concert' as opposed to a single song, but still. My only complaint is that I felt a little lack of enthusiasm. It was not the passionate music love affair I was hoping for. They were still great though.

    Tarankimmel

    by allhailthomyorke

I have to agree. Though it was great to see the Kimmel show try something unconventional, the show sucked and Tarantino was completely unfair to Laura Harring and the Punisher. Tarantino, of all people, should know that having the #1 slot at the box office means nothing in terms of how good your film is. That being said, I absolutely loved Kill Bill 1&2, but Tarantino was a dick on Kimmel.
