Quick! Your girlfriend is likely hypnotised by Football Boy over on ABC’s “Bachelor” opener. This is your chance to sneak over to USA to watch one of the best shows ABC ever made the mistake of not airing.

“Karen Sisco,” the best new show of autumn 2003, is airing one of its last two episodes tonight. Christ knows when it’ll be out on DVD! The DVD gods haven’t even gotten around to “Murder One” yet!!

Oh, and don’t forget to tape that new “South Park.”

10 p.m. Wednesday. USA.

    Contrived and unbelievable

    by 5150critic

When I first saw the ads last yr for Karen Sisco, I found myself hoping that they wouldn't screw up a possibly good premise...the ads weren't all that great...and neither was the show. Showing her standing on the throat of some dumb schmuck she catches, talkin' on the cell-phone, and making like she's the most indispensible cop on the force, being just one of the good ol' boys like Daddy hangs with, and then trying unsuccessfully to convince us that she's "just a girl"...gimme an f'n break. I think the character is DeVito's wet dream...or what he wants to become when he gets a sex change...The gal who plays her does well with the part, but it's the character itself that's just a little too out there.

    Karen Sisco

    by cilohocla

The show was good. It was fun. It didn't have to be totally "credible." That's the way Elmore Leonard characters act. Just sit back and enjoy! It's better than the crap ABC usually airs like The Bachelor. Damn them.

Why all the vitriol on these TBs? Is it my imagination or has th

I think Sisco is worth mentioning; maybe it will be released on DVD. DVD box sets should always be the option now for short-lived series. I also agree that Chapelle Show should be mentioned as it's been getting a lot of attention and acclaim and has a cult following. It's long time for the Coaxial TB group here to grow the hell up if you ever want our demographic and our opinions to be taken seriously by the television networks.

The saddest thing about Wonderfalls being cancelled...

    by logo lou

Is the same week it is cancelled I've seen numerous articles all over magazines, newspapers, online about the show and/or it's star. They were cancelled the same time the push for the show was just germinating. Talk about rubbing salt in the wound.

    South Park/Chappelle

    by banky the hack

Wow, that was one of the funniest hours of television I can remember. Up there with the old South Park/TV Funhouse combo. That "Somethin' In my Pocket" song that Butters tapped had me laughing so hard I sounded like Patty and Selma Bouvier combined I was coughing so hard. In fact that whole episode was up there as one of my favorites, ever. And as already mentioned, "Does Wayne Brady have to choke a bitch?" will easliy be one of the most quoted lines in America this week...funny funny stuff tonight.

What gives on the updates on the DEAD SHOWS?

    by heymanniceshot

I'm sure KS is a good show but how does this lost cause rate a higher priority than the absent Sopranos and The Shield talkbacks? Thanks for keeping us in the loop but its obvious there are more people who want to talk about the GODLY Cappelle Show than there is this cast-off. So how about accomidating us?
