Win A Date With Tad Hercules Part Deux!! SHATNER!! WIRE!! CARNIVALE!! That
I am – Hercules!!
The Museum of Television and Radio’s William S. Paley Festival finally kicks off Wednesday!!
The fest is one of Herc’s favorite things about living in Los Angeles. To watch truly great TV shows with an audience, then hear the creators and stars reveal important secrets about said TV shows? What’s more fun than that?? Seriously!!
There have been more sellouts since our last post on the fest two weeks ago. Here’s how we hear things stand now:
March 3 “Alias”/”Felicity” SOLD OUT!
March 4 "Trading Spaces"
March 5 Angela Lansbury
March 6 "Joan of Arcadia" SOLD OUT!
March 9 "The O.C." SOLD OUT!
March 10 William Shatner
March 11 "Arrested Development" SOLD OUT!
March 12 Sherwood Schwartz
March 13 "The Wire"
March 15 "Smallville" SOLD OUT!
March 16 "Carnivale"
(Confused? Annoyed? Find more on the Paley fest here. Click on the “2004 William S. Paley Television Festival” icon for a complete rundown of the what, who, where, when and how much.)
Here’s the good part. Because we’ve been so so public about our love for the Paley Fest, the museum has graciously passed along ticketage to three of the best remaining events: the Shatner, “Wire” and “Carnivale” tributes. Because these tickets were free to us, they’re now free to whomever writes in to Coaxial News with the most enthusiasm for the respective Star Trek icon and/or Sunday-night HBO drama. You don’t have to sit next to Herc at these events, but if you win, you’re welcome to share his space. If you’re willing to write up the events for this site, he may even shake your hand with gratitude.
Note that these are not tickets without value. While the museum sells them for $20, you can head over to Ebay and discover that:
* the winning bid for the “Alias” tickets was $203.50.
* the winning bid for the “Smallville” tickets was $152.50.
* the winning bid for the “O.C.” tickets was $200.01.
Mind you, this is some dude on Ebay. Not your friends at Coaxial News.
We’ve set up a special email address for those interested in the Shatner, “Wire” and “Carnivale” tickets:
