Good thing I already saw this 12 hours ago from a different website. And it looks great. Good story, solid and interesting characters...no LXG here folks. This is gonna rock your world! It has been a long time since I got excited about a movie(I lost my faith after reloaded...) but I am at the alter again and ready to get religous!!!! Oh and...The Passion is incredible...btw

Then I read the books. :) They're amusing stories with good characters that aren't supposed to be taken too seriously. LXG is another overrated book by Alan Moore using other peoples characters. I don't know why it made it to the screen in the first place. I just feel bad for Norrington. Love his visuals.

i love hell boy. have been reading it since the very fist issue as i was a huge mignola fan. and i really hope this movie will stay true to the dark humour and intelligence of the comics, but these trailers and tv spots really make it look like the LOEG. here's hoping they are keeping it all for the flick.

Yeah, that's right! I'm just another horny teenager who plopped down 10 bucks to see some fine tits. Damn it, she never showed 'em! However, Jordan Ladd's melons were VERRRRY nice. And the gymnastics routines...boiiinnnggg!!!! OK, maybe it might be worth watching for those. I'm just giving fair warning to, oh, 90% of the horny males on this site who go to see certain 'target' movies for a certain reason. How do I know? Well, the crowd I saw it with at 10pm was 90% guys, just like me. Everyone else, leave your stupid non-horny-ass comments to yourselves. And for those complaining that I'm doing this on a Hellboy talkback, well has the AICN machine been churning out any many articles lately?

I love Ron Perlman's last line there, very funny. I don't know about the rest of you but I'm glad to see that we're getting plenty of big budget monster movies invading our multiplexes in the next few months. This year is going to be jam packed with Demons, Zombies, Vampires, Aliens and Predators. Too fucking cool!

I was able to tell from the trailer that LXG was going to be shite, and from reading about how they drastically messed with the source material. Del Toro has gone in a completely different direction, keeping faithful to the source material... you know, sort of like those other comic movies such as Spider-Man and X2.... the new Hellboy tv spot feels like a shorter version of the X2 trailer.

I really don't see how this is like LXG! Mike Mignola had a whole hell of a lot of input and Guillermo is a huge fan of the comics!!! This sounds completly different than LXG so far.... anyway I can't wait to see this. Guillermo Del Toro you Rock!

until I see it. I do have to say ,from everything I've seen, DelTorro seems to have completely missed the point. The feel is all wrong. I guess its hard to ask a Spaniard to fully understand the spirit of a story that you really need to be a New Englander to understand.

Hopefully, the movie itself will be good (I'm looking forward to it), but the trailers for this REEK of LXG. I've never read Hellboy comics, and I've heard that its got dark humor, but you can't see ANY of that in these trailers. Find the LXG trailer and compare it to this spot. They're done in the EXACT same overblown, SFX-extraganza, cookie-cutter fashion. Marketing today is awful. And Tail-loser bullshit needs to stop.

I liked the first trailer better. A lot better. This one will be confusing to anyone who has not seen the first._______ and everyone HAS to stop with the LXG bashing. I love that flick!

That was a fun trailer, a huge improvement on the first one. It's a movie by and for geeks, and the geeks complain and dismiss it as usual. Could've gone without the Mr. Voice, though. Isn't it time for him to retire? His voice brings back repressed memories of dozens of lame action movies from the past twenty years. Completely tainted that first FOTR trailer, for anyone who remembers.

You can't call the movie HELLBOY without explaining who the hell HELLBOY is FIRST! People will explode with laughter! The "these people save the world from evil" marketing crap is OLD SHIT. Either quickly explain the origin of Hellboy in the next trailer (it's an awesome, original origin!), or rename the movie "BPRD".

I dig Guillermo del toro. I love some of his work and I really like his film enthusiasm. However, Blade 2 was unwatchable awful and to be honest this project never really lit my fire. I listened to del Toro talk about this movie at Comic-con two years ago and felt it was a lame project. Every trailer reinforces my first feelings of unease. I'll probably see this two or so weeks after it opens (or on DVD months later) so it'll be a cheapie $5 ticket instead of a $7.50 ticket.

Liz Sherman (Selma Blair) is supposed to be pyrokinetic, ie control flame. Why aren't the flame effects colored orange and red like real fire? The stuff I saw in the original trailer looks blue, and doesn't really resemble flame at all. It looks like bluish electricity. Anyway, it looks wrong. A mistake that a lot of sci-fi directors seem to make often with effects is to push them too far so that they end up looking too unrealistic. It should have been simple to make Liz Sherman's fire look like fire, but they didn't. Anyway, that's my pet peeve so far with this movie. They have made the effect more complicated than they needed too. Regardless, I hope that the movie is good, because I like the comic.

A lot of talkbacking about how it looks like LXG, but there are some lines/clips in this trailer that are almost exactly out of the Men in Black movies.
Those flicks demonstrated that just polish only gets you so far, hope there's more under this (pretty slick-looking, I admit) surface.
