I think this means that Harry thought nothing of Matrix 3

    by thorne13

If true this is a fairly bad sign about the movie, but what Harry thinks of things doesn't matter all that much to me. I'll only see it if I start to hear good things about it from non fanatics.

    SPOILERS!

    by chuck l nuts

Warning: SPOILERS for the following review!!! Turn away if you do not want to know!!! 10... 9... 1: Harry equates Neo, the good guy, with Osama Bin Laden. Smith, one of the bad guys, gets a "Communism" nametag. The Matrix itself is America, trying to impose rules and rigid dogma on everyone else. He loves the film. He also, as legend has it, loved Jar Jar Binks. I am not sure what to make of all this. I was aware that Osama Bin Laden can fly, but I'm not sure how a midair battle between him and Communism (more of a concept than a person) would actually look--shouldn't there be some sort of direct visual analog before these archtypes are assigned? I wish I could fly. Pow! Pow! I would punch Communism in the Honore de Ball-sack!

Made me appreciate Godfather III more

    by smitty1510

Man...what a stinker. The W brothers get their way with this one based on the success of the first two. Matrix fans across the world are gonna be upset. This movie ranks above Godfather III and Star Wars episode one as "most disappointing sequel".

The viewer is force-fed more psycho-babble without the payoffs provided by the first two movies. After re-inventing fight sequences in matrix one, car chases in matrix reloaded, the W brothers serve up a tired, cliched, sci-fi flying robot battle. The climactic fight between Neo and Agent Smith was reminiscent of the Christoper Reeves Superman movies (with the exception of a really cool slo mo face distorting punch to the villain). A major character is killed in an anti-climactic, off-hand way. The hero dies (?).

The W brothers have borrowed a lot of good ideas from Japanese anime, but I don't think that throwing this kind of unconventional conclusion in the face of an American audience is going to sit well. It really detracts from the series as a whole. It could have only been worse if they had tried to make it a musical...heh.

    Final Fantasy: The Matrix

Final Fantasy Revolutions (for real this time)

    by karmakin

Saw M:Rev last night. About a quarter of the way through it, it felt EXTREMELY familier. In fact, I had a pretty damn good idea what was going to happen?

Why? It was pretty clear that a lot of the ideas and stories were taken from the Final Fantasy game series. Especially VII.

    **spoilers**..kinda..

A corporation (The Matrix/Machine City/Shinra), creates an entity in order to maintain control. (Smith/Sepiroth). They lose control of that entity, and must work together with the rebellion group and end the war to save all their own asses.

As well, the music during the final Smith/Neo battle might of well have been "One Winged Angel", and the underbeat to the first song in the credits was very similar to the underbeat to the boss music in FF9.

Planned that way? I think so. Didn't reduce my enjoyment of the movie in any way. I actually can't wait for the DVD set to see if there is any verification of this idea.

    Were is rage??

    by lafours23

Call this a spoiler if you want. To some it may be it would of been to me but it has nothing to do with the story.. As tragic as this may be. Whats up with the movie not ending on a rage against the machine song. Like the 2 before it. I was waiting and waiting... A friend and I were betting on which song they would use.
I hade my money on people of the sun.
You can't give me a rage song at the ending of the first two and then swipe it away. I liked the movie up until this disapointment.
    I must go cry now

At least give me an audioslave song something..
