MATRIX REVOLUTIONS - Radii314 calls it a 'disaster'...
SPOILER ALERT !!
Hey folks, Harry here -- After the positive reviews on MATRIX REVOLUTIONS, it was bound to happen at some point, well... here comes the "other side of the story" a brutal and unforgiving look at the Wachowski's Swan Song to Neo and the crew of the Neb... Beware of many spoilers and of heart ache and mental anxiety by reading the following. I could crush your soul...
Harry, et al:
I saw Matrix: Revolutions today and cannot believe the positive reviews you've run on your site thus far.
I liked Matrix but found it pretentious and a bit obvious. I loved Matrix: Reloaded because I looked at it as a rollercoaster ride an ignored the horrid "rave" scene and the ponderous and tedious Architect's spiel and the contrived 'deep' stuff ... but Revolutions was pure and simple ... a DISASTER!!!
It was so awful, I felt all yucky after the movie ended and just wanted new sensory inputs to wash away that BAAAAD movie (a margarita helped). The W brothers made every single wrong choice to wrap up the trilogy! The lamest part of the story - Zion - became the focus - the time spent in the Matrix in Revolutions is maybe twenty minutes.
At the end of Reloaded we were left with a some possibilities to ponder: Are there LAYERS of reality since now Neo could do something that would defy the laws of physics in the real world (stopping those stupid dreadlocked red-eyed machines with his mind) and will we find out that Morpheus, Trinity, the Oracle and Zion are just another layer of programming? Must Neo push deeper to get at the truth - past the Architect? Will the Matrix prove to be some deep subconscious, with layers of hell? Or, like in Dallas, is it all a dream and Neo wakes up at his computer where we first find him, wondering - was it real? OR ... do our heroes beat the machines and break the cycle and at the end, after penetrating the deeper layers of reality to wake - for the FIRST TIME from their pods to the real reality?
No such luck folks ... the most obvious and hackneyed story choices are where the W brothers take Revolutions. Don't bother fastening your seatbelts moviegoers, it's a pretty tame and predictable ride.
The cool greens of the Matrix give way to the gray and rust colors of twisted metal in Zion
(all that technology but no one has a clean or untorn shirt?). What needs to get explained doesn't get explained (why do they rely on so much technology and computers in Zion - why can't the machines penetrate their computers? Where do they shower? Get their food? Why is there so much time to have formal meetings and discuss everything in ponderous tones when imminent threats are upon them?). In the real world of Zion and places related, the laws of physics are defied again and again in lame attempts to amp up the drama. Morpheus is a passive bore in this film, and the dialogue of the film is so clunky it is beyond campy to the point of being just plain stupid in places. I laughed out loud a few times at how bad - and utterly predictable - the movie was.
Those walking robot-things the Zion defenders us to shoot at the dreadlocked robots: been there, did that in Aliens (only Sigourney Weaver's was yellow). The moving-mouth machine intelligence: evokes Star Trek V.
Again and again ideas were mined from other films, and not the best films either. The fight sequences fall strangely flat. Not one was the visceral spectacle that they were in Matrix and M:ReLoaded. They are actually rather tedious since no new element is introduced.
The pacing is way off, the film feels like a long train journey through not very interesting countryside - it just plods along with poor connection between scenes - particularly in the first 40 minutes.
And now to Agent Smith. He started out as merely the lead element of the sentry program to protect the Matrix from rogues like Neo in the first film. He broke free at the end of that film and evolved independence in Reloaded. We were left wondering where he would take his freedom - on a quest for absolute power? - could he evolve and turn to join Neo's revolutionaries? - would he self-destruct? - would he cut a deal with Neo or the Architect so long as he could remain free? Nope. The W brothers decided to shift the evil from the machine intelligence to Smith. Now he is the villain and the focus of both the Matrix and Neo. Now Smith matters most to saving Zion. How and why exactly? Lamest choice of them all. And the big finale, the fight between Smith and Neo - anti-climactic. The bigger scale of the fight makes it look like a videogame and not a movie. Let's not forget Agent Smith's ability to take over a human in the real world and Neo's new abilities. If this is the real world, then are these two entities (one man, one machine) religious deities? How else could Smith place part of his machine consciousness into a human being and how else could Neo stop machines with the force of his will? It's never explained. There is a weak
tag at the end which alludes to a possible fourth film.
The subplot of the MongrelVariant (or whatever that stupid name was) falls flat, as does the subplot with the Oracle (does she infect the infector? It's not clearly drawn ... and her appearance at the end of the final fight scene - out of nothing ... again, not neatly connected visually to resolve it for the viewer ... had she been hiding in Smith? Then why was the pit shown empty when the Smiths turned white and disappeared? Where did she come from then?).
In Revolutions the puppet-strings are showing ... the desire to have the film look hip and create a cool factor merely comes across as contrived and lame (the whole club scene of rotating positions with their guns by Trinity and Morpheus just looks silly).
RRRrrrrr. The movie was such a disappointment. I'm so glad I didn't pay for it. Interesting ideas could have been explored ... the whole notion of layers of reality was brilliantly explored in season 3 of Lexx ... and Matrix could have mined the same territory, but it took the easy way out - a simple physical battle between man and machine - and the striking of a bargain to end the war - for now.
Go see the movie, the folks at Time-Warner need the movie revenue, but a good movie this ain't.
sign me,
Radii314Then there is the following. If you wish to preserve ANY MYSTERY at all... DO NOT READ THE FOLLOWING - this is a highly detailed review of the film. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED... Do not continue to read if you do not wish to know...
harry-
i eeked out this huge, spoiler filled review of The Matrix Revolutions. it's been posted on several Matrix-oriented sites, so it's been cruising the nether for a while, but here it is- the way i posted it online.
"Prof. Faber"
sites that carry the script(most of it is on one site, but the ending is on another):

i did leave some of the stuff out, since i'm not spoiling the entire film. but in part, that's just about the entire film.
"OH MY FUCKING GOD!"
that's right. you'll say it too when you step out of the cinema on november 5th. i shit you not.
if The Matrix Revolutions doesn't walk away with the Oscar for best VFX, the world will stop spinning, and we'll all be flung into space.
Neo is trapped at the Mobile Avenue stop, and he talks to the little girl and her parents. the dude is the program that runs the battery-factory, and the chick is another program that works with him... but their daughter is just a plain old program, that doesn't have a real purpose.
this is a bad thing in the machine world, since if something has no purpose, it's trimmed away. the "parents" don't want to lose their daughter, whom they love(it's just a word attached to a greater meaning), and so the guy had to go see the Merovingean to get his daughter smuggled inside the Matrix(that's the meeting that was happening before Mero's chit-chat with the resistance).
Trainman(i really didn't want this gu! y to be called "trainman" because i'd read a scriptment for the film, and i about puked) is one of Mero's underlings... smuggling rogue programs into the Matrix. he creater Mobile Ave., and it's rules, and gives Neo a good sucker-punch, and leaves with the family.
Neo sits around. and sits some more, and then thinks about possibly leaving through the tunnel. he runs off the left frame, only to run back into frame on the right side of the screen. Neo says "Shit!" and, ha-ha! everyone has a laugh.
meanwhile, the crew of the Neb is on the Hammer, and they're looking for Niobe. while they're looking, they get a call from Seraph, and Morpheus and Trinity jack in to visit the Oracle.
here's the part i hated most. they changed the Oracle- i know it's because Gloria Foster died, but... it's a matter of asthetics. meh- on with the story.
they see the Oracle, and at first are dismayed that she's changed, but they know that they have to talk to Mero to get Neo back! , so they're going to Club Hel.
enter Seriph: walking down an alley of cars in a parking garage. the bouncers all see him, "You've got to be kidding me..." and "Hey- it's 'wingless'." the bouncers talk tough, but they didn't anticipate that Seraph would bring Trinity and Morpheus, and the bouncers are dispatched.
this is one of the coolest parts of the film: the threesome takes the elevator "down," as Seraph pushed the red button that reads "HEL." and tells Trinity and Morpheus that there might be a few guys checking for guns when they reach their floor...
a few... guys with guys... it's not so bad as you might think at first, but then- this place isn't normal. the room's code allows people to walk on the cieling, and all the action is fucking great. think "The Lobby" from M1 on crack... and this is just the "armory" part of the club.
the threesome then enters the actual club, and do a little dance through the "freaks," until Merovingean sees them on ! the floor from his little spot upstairs, and has the music cut. he has them give up their weapons, but tells them that they can all walk out alive after their meeting.
Mero is great in this sceen, and delivers his ultimatum: he wants something that supposedly cannot be taken, but must be given away... Seraph winces at this, and Mero delivers, "Bring me the eyes of the Oracle, and you can have your saviour."
"I don't have time for this shit," comes from Trinity, and the threesome kick some ass, whilst Mero and Persephony watch. Trinity catches a gun that's been flung haplessly into the air, and puts it to Mero's head. then everyone brings guns around, and it's time for Trinity's ultimatum: bring me Neo, and i don't kill you all.
because Mero's such a nice guy, he has the Trainman take Trinity to get Neo, and they visit the Oracle again. Neo whines that she should have told him about the Architect, about the previous Ones, about the source... and the Oracle tells h! im bluntly- "you weren't ready yet." Neo whines some more about "who decides when i'm ready?" and the Oracle points to her sign Timet Nosce, and Neo realizes that he only wanted to know what he needed for the here and now.
the Oracle has the little girl(the abstract program), and is now watching after her, and everything is kinda happy for now.
Neo jacks out, and everyone on the Hammer start talking about ways to get back to Zion with the two ships to possibly help.
BANE! i almost forgot. he wakes up and the capt of the Hammer questions him about what happened on his ship and why an EMP went off early. he says that he doesn't remember anything, and cannot tell if he's himself...
more discussion about the route to take back to Zion, when Neo bursts in and tells the crew that he knows what he needs to do- he needs one of the ships to get to the machine city. the capt of the Hammer thinks that Neo is crazy, and won't give his ship up- but Niobe ! hands her ship over to Neo.
Bane stabs the medic, and sneaks abourd Niobe's ship while all of the ammunition is transfered to the Hammer, and then the Hammer leaves for Zion. they realize all to late that Bane is gone, but can't turn back because they need to get to Zion and if Bane kills Neo and Trinity, but uses his EMP to take out the Hammer, all is lost.
cut to the Logos- Neo and Trinity are about to get underway, when the power is cut somehow. Trinity gets up to check it out, and Bane knocks some sense into her. Neo comes to investigate, and after dropping Trinity down a access hatch, Bane confronts Neo. Neo isn't quite getting that Smith is Bane, but it quickly comes to a head when Bane uses a severed cable to stab Neo in the eyes. thus, Neo's bandage in the trailer...
Bane gets up, and realizing that Neo is blind, plays cat and mouse- moving further back in the ship while Neo gropes around helpless. Bane is all set up to whack Neo in the skull with a tire ! iron(hey- it looks like a friggan tire iron, ok), when Neo says. "I can see you." cut to the 'Smith on fire' shot, and Bane/Smith starts swinging, only Neo ducks, dodges, and catches Bane/Smith's arms up, break them down, and then Neo uses the tire iron to bash Bane/Smith's head apart. the bashing takes place in the "fire world" that Neo can now see in his blindness. exxxxxxcellent.
whew- that's a lot of stuff, right? pfft. that's the halfway mark. i thought i'd be done by now- damn, but it's fun.
ok. the Oracle. she's hanging out in her appartment still, and sends Seraph out with the kid, but the elevator doesn't work, and Seraph does to the stairwell, only to see Smith(s) coming up the stairs.
he heads back towards the Oracle's appartment, but goes inside another one instead. the Smiths follow them, and here you have Smith talking to the little girl, "I'm not so bad, once you get to know me." and cut to black. CUT TO BLACK!!! WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?!?! i k! now- but they did it, so we don't know about them...
cut to the Oracle's appartment. the Smiths are filing into the kitchen, and the 'leader-Smith' starts in on the Oracle about how she's supposed to be all-knowing... so he throws her platter of cookies against the wall and shouts, "Did you know i was going to do that?!" Maritas will love Mr. Weaving in this film. he's a riot.
anyways, a clever exchange follows where Smith calls the Oracle "mom," thus ends the "mother of the Matrix" debate. the Oracle is the mother. Smith then takes over the Oracle, and now we have a super-Smith, who the other Smiths are afraid of because of his power. there's a CGI shot of Smith taking over the Oracle which is great. and the Smith laugh... omg.
ok. here it is: the 14 minute, $40 million scene.
it's the Hammer, trying to sneak by a bunch of Sentinels, but the bottom scrapes, and the Sentinels hear it. now think FFotO in realtime.you've got a ship with he! r crew racing for Zion, guns blazing like there's no tomorrow, and a shitload of Sentinels coming in for the kill. they go straight for the antenna, so communication goes down.
cut to Zion. everyone is getting ready for the showdown, and even Zee is making rockets to use in the battle. Capt Mafoney(sp?) gives a speach to his mechanized troops, and they all start looking to the roof of the docking bay for signs of the drills.
the first drill breaks on cue, and we have a storm of shellspouring from the mechs, while Sentinel parts are dropping from the sky. eventually, they tear a bigger hole by concentrating their fire on the small opening, and some Sentinels get through and start running amuck. then more get through, and you have a major situation that's been FUBAR'd.
the kid can be seen here, making ammo runs to the mechs, and he's got a lot on his mind with the speech he was given by Mafoney before the battle.
back and forth, we cut from the Hammer to ! Zion, ain't it's not looking pretty for either party. Zee is running around with Sinead O'Connor(not really, but she looks the part), and they're firing rockets into the legs of the drills to knock them down. yay! they got one!
the Hammer is getting close to Zion, and the guys in Zion's main control area can see her coming, but can't communicate with her. the signature is one of a Zionist ship, but no confirmation on the actual identity yet...
meanwhile, the Hammer is getting pounded by Niobe's driving, and the guns are still blazing...
capt. Mafoney is one of the last mechs standing, and the Sentinels are looking like a huge school of fish as they fly to and fro, but he's holding his own. the Kid is sent out to refill his ammo stores, and does is quite bravely, when the Sentinels overwhelm his mech, and slice his face up. and now he looks like shit. really. you'll gasp at his face.
with his dieing breath, he tells the Kid to get to one of teh bay door! s to open it, and he hops in, takes control, and gets the thing running- only to be knocked over by a lone Sentinel- but Zee saves the day, and uses an EMP-gun to disable the Sentinel. the Kid then uses the machine gun to spray the chain that holds the door in place(it's a large bike chain), and the door is opening...
the Hammer is bearing down on the door, and Niobe turns the ship on it's side and it slams through the door. at this point, the Sentinels knew it was coming, and are headed for the two holes in the roof, but it's too late, as Link hits the EMP and slaughters every Sentinel in the vicinity.
HOLY SHIAT, THAT WAS FRIGGAN AWESOME!
but General Locke isn't pleased, because the EMP knocked out his defences(what was left of them... not much), and sends them to the council. they relate their story and tell the council that Neo and Trinity are on their way to the machine city.
cut to the Logos. Trinity and Neo come to the surface... we have the fet! us-field in the foreground, and the battery pillars in the background. Neo can see the entire area in his fiery vision, and it's soo cool. like, totally, Ted!
he tells Trinity to head for the three electric cables, and follow them to the machine city...
and that's it for now... haha. i have to go to work. i'll be back in about nine hours to finish it up
ok guys, here's the last of it:
i left off with the Logos heading away from the fetus-fields, and as they approach some mountains, we can see the mountains actually lifting into the air. they're not mountains at all- in the terra firma sense we know mountains as, but they're actually machine battleships- the last line of defense to keep rebels from approaching the machine city.
they lift up off the ground, and we see them unfurling some kind of tubing... remember the Sentinel's bombs from Reloaded? ! these battleships start spitting the bombs out at an insane pace, so that there are literally millions of the little buggers flying directly at the Logos.
Neo can see all this with his "vision," and holds out his hand- now the bombs don't simply stop on command, but they explode. the first wave anyway, but there are thousands still hurtling at breakneck speed right at the Logos. Neo keeps blowing them up, but complains that there are too many of them, and starts to pass out.
some Sentinels sweep in from above, and start in on the kill, but Neo blows some of them up as well. Trinity realizes the futility of going straight for the battleships, and so Neo tells her to pull up.
here's where the shot of the moon comes into play guys: as they climb into the clouds, the lightning dispatches the Sentinels, and they fall away, but it also kills the engines of the Logos- though it has enough momentum to break the clouds, and we see the Logos jump like a whale through t! he darkness into light...
they see the sun, and then gravity kicks in... and we're falling... falling.... through the clouds, and we see the machine city. but the engines are dead. Trinity gets them started, but only in time to plunge the ship directly into a tower.
Trinity is impaled, but tells Neo to go on. Neo walks out to an opening that views the machine city, and there are little machines scurryint all around him. until there's a blast of lightning, and the little bots realize something big is coming.
it's V-GER. not really. it's the trippy head thing, minus the face. a bunch of mini-sentinels swarm out around Neo, and Neo tells it that he wants to speak, and then the machine can decide if he dies. the mini-sentinels form up into the "face," and we see the nature of the beast.
Neo gives his schpiel, and gets plugged in.
cut to The Matrix: Neo is walking down a street, and it's raining. cats, dogs, manatees, sheep. it's just raining! .
Neo confronts super-Smith(the Smith/Oracle combo), and they beat the crap out of each other. well, Smith ends up beating the crap out of Neo.
the turn of the fight comes with Smith(while flying) punching Neo, and then following after him, and grappling him... flying straight into the ground, "cratering" Neo.
as Smith stands there in his moment of glory, he sees that Neo is still breathing, and fighting for control of his body, willing it to get up.
Smith lays into Neo about they "why." "why do you do it to yourself? for love? it's an illusion!"
"because i choose to..." spouts Neo. they begin to duke it out again, cutting to a quasi-bullet time of Neo's fist impacting on Smith's face...
Neo punches Smith into the wall of the crater, and he disappears down a shaft, but he's still surrounded by the multitude of Smiths...
there's rumbling, and super-Smith emerges from the ground, and goes in for the kill, pounding on Neo. he lifts N! eo over his head, and punches him in the gut, sending Neo flying against the rubble of the crater...
Smith: "no- i remember this part. you're there, and i'm standing... here. and then i say... something, what is it? 'Everything that has a begining, has an end'" we now have a Smith that's conflicted... literally.
Neo realizes what's happening, and stands up. Smith goes in for the kill once more, only this time, cloning himself onto The One. no joke. it happens, people.
super-Smith(Smith/Oracle) to Smith/Neo: "is it over?" the uber-Smith grins, and we cut to the machine city.
Neo's body, which has been supported by machine tentacles kind of like a elevated bed, is flailing as Smith takes over, and he dies. the "head" machine realizes what has happened, and surges power through Neo.
uber-Smith explodes, as do every one of the clones. the Oracle is now lying in the crater...
next we see her( i skipped something here), she's in the park with ! the little girl, and Seraph, and the Architect strides up.
he has a short exchange with the Oracle, and she asks him "what about those that want to be freed?"
Architect: "of course i'll keep my word. do you think i'm human?"
THE FUCKING END

When you review a film for us is there anyway you could actually post spoilers in the review instead of alluding to everything?
It gets a little tedious to read through a rant like this, that could have been easily constructed from the current material in the trailers, without finding out anything new.

Oh well, didn't like the first one and liked the second one summed it up for me before I read a word so not too worried at one opinion.

this one was lame, to say the least. i saw the film on thursday, and contemplated sending in a review just like this one to piss people off, but i couldn't bring myself to do it. -----------but that's ok, because i sent Harry the entire film review, almost scene by scene, for him to possibly post here. maybe he does, maybe he doesn't. but i pray he will.
-
yet again another review of a movie not based on what it is but what it isnt. maybe somebody who writes these reviews should actually pull their head out of their ass and try to enjoy a flick for once. even fanboys like harry know how to enjoy a movie. of course film critics are the lowest form of life, even lawyers look down on them. my advise is to enjoy a movie and say what you didnt like and did like as opposed to saying the people who concieved it and made it didnt do it the way you wanted them to.
-
This guy has no clue. He compares that crap lexx to matrix and asks the most idiotic questions... we already fucking know where they get their food and water had you actually WATCHED and LISTENED to matrix reloaded... This review is so bad I suspect its a shameful attempt at reducing expectations so we can enjoy revolutions even more...
-
Yes, as was stated, post the review here.
It would be a noble gesture and Captain First would appreciate it. -
That occurs when Trinity, Morpheous, and Seraph are on their way in. Revolutions may or may not suck, but this review is as fake as they come.
-
If you have really seen the "Matrix: Revolutions", why don't you just post it here and now, either that, or just go to movies.yahoo.com and post it under the "Messages" section of the "Matrix: Revolutions" title? I write this, because it is very obvious that people want complete spoilers on this film. An almost scene for scene description of what happens. One cannot force someone to read a review. So if there are people who do not want to know what happens, they do not have to read it. Just simply put at the top of your post (COMPLETE SPOILERS FOR THE MATRIX: REVOLUTIONS.) Let's just cut the bullshit go through film with a fine tooth comb so we know wether or not this movie is even worth paying to see.

The fact that he does love Reloaded makes this review as reliable as shit. Matrix was a nice and decent picture with all the good ideas stolen from other film(makers), but it was a good, fun time, but not worth the cult following it got.
Reloaded was plain shit, with some interesting ideas, but overall a movie made 'cause they had all these cool vfx which they used to death (the bullet time around Trinity in the beginning was too much and set the tone for the entire picture).
Now, Revolutions could make a difference. Like Episode II made look Episode I (Star Wars, of course) a bit more interesting to look at. Mind you, a bit. But I fear the worst. The Matrix saga will be an interesting and fun first movie with two pieces of crap as follow-ups.
Nah, I'll wait for ROTK and see how a REAL trilogy is wrapped up. -

if The Matrix Revolutions doesn't walk away with the Oscar for best VFX, the world will stop spinning, and we'll all be flung into space.
i'm doing this two ways. part one has no spoilers; but part two... well, i can't be so sure about that.
here's the gist:
Neo is trapped between the machine world and the Matrix- ok, so we all know that. but it's going to take some doing to get him back.
ah, fuck this. i can't beat around the bush, so here's part two:
Neo is trapped at the Mobile Avenue stop, and he talks to the little girl and her parents. the dude is the program that runs the battery-factory, and the chick is another program that works with him... but their daughter is just a plain old program, that doesn't have a real purpose.

BANE! i almost forgot. he wakes up and the capt of the Hammer questions him about what happened on his ship and why an EMP went off early. he says that he doesn't remember anything, and cannot tell if he's himself...
more discussion about the route to take back to Zion, when Neo bursts in and tells the crew that he knows what he needs to do- he needs one of the ships to get to the machine city. the capt of the Hammer thinks that Neo is crazy, and won't give his ship up- but Niobe hands her ship over to Neo.
Bane is all set up to whack Neo in the skull with a tire iron(hey- it looks like a friggan tire iron, ok), when Neo says.
WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?!?! i know- but they did it, so we don't know about them...
cut to the Oracle's appartment. the Smiths are filing into the kitchen, and the 'leader-Smith' starts in on the Oracle about how she's supposed to be all-knowing... so he throws her platter of cookies against the wall and shouts, "Did you know i was going to do that?!" Maritas will love Mr. Weaving in this film. he's a riot.
anyways, a clever exchange follows where Smith calls the Oracle "mom," thus ends the "mother of the Matrix" debate. the Oracle is the mother. Smith then takes over the Oracle, and now we have a super-Smith, who the other Smiths are afraid of because of his power. there's a CGI shot of Smith taking over the Oracle which is great. and the Smith laugh... omg.
ok. here it is: the 14 minute, $40 million scene.
it's the Hammer, trying to sneak by a bunch of Sentinels, but the bottom scrapes, and the Sentinels hear it. now think FFotO in realtime.you've got a ship with her crew racing for Zion, guns blazing like there's no tomorrow, and a shitload of Sentinels coming in for the kill. they go straight for the antenna, so communication goes down.
cut to Zion. everyone is getting ready for the showdown, and even Zee is making rockets to use in the battle. Capt Mafoney(sp?) gives a speach to his mechanized troops, and they all start looking to the roof of the docking bay for signs of the drills.
the first drill breaks on cue, and we have a storm of shellspouring from the mechs, while Sentinel parts are dropping from the sky. eventually, they tear a bigger hole by concentrating their fire on the small opening, and some Sentinels get through and start running amuck. then more get through, and you have a major situation that's been FUBAR'd.
the kid can be seen here, making ammo runs to the mechs, and he's got a lot on his mind with the speech he was given by Mafoney before the battle.
back and forth, we cut from the Hammer to Zion, ain't it's not looking pretty for either party. Zee is running around with Sinead O'Connor(not really, but she looks the part), and they're firing rockets into the legs of the drills to knock them down. yay! they got one!
the Hammer is getting close to Zion, and the guys in Zion's main control area can see her coming, but can't communicate with her. the signature is one of a Zionist ship, but no confirmation on the actual identity yet...
meanwhile, the Hammer is getting pounded by Niobe's driving, and the guns are still blazing...
capt. Mafoney is one of the last mechs standing, and the Sentinels are looking like a huge school of fish as they fly to and fro, but he's holding his own. the Kid is sent out to refill his ammo stores, and does is quite bravely, when the Sentinels overwhelm his mech, and slice his face up. and now he looks like shit. really. you'll gasp at his face.
with his dieing breath, he tells the Kid to get to one of teh bay doors to open it, and he hops in, takes control, and gets the thing running- only to be knocked over by a lone Sentinel- but Zee saves the day, and uses an EMP-gun to disable the Sentinel. the Kid then uses the machine gun to spray the chain that holds the door in place(it's a large bike chain), and the door is opening...
the Hammer is bearing down on the door, and Niobe turns the ship on it's side and it slams through the door. at this point, the Sentinels knew it was coming, and are headed for the two holes in the roof, but it's too late, as Link hits the EMP and slaughters every Sentinel in the vicinity.
Trinity and Neo come to the surface... we have the fetus-field in the foreground, and the battery pillars in the background. Neo can see the entire area in his fiery vision, and it's soo cool. like, totally, Ted!
he tells Trinity to head for the three electric cables, and follow them to the machine city...
and that's it for now... haha. i have to go to work. i'll be back in about nine hours to finish it up
ok guys, here's the last of it:
i left off with the Logos heading away from the fetus-fields, and as they approach some mountains, we can see the mountains actually lifting into the air. they're not mountains at all- in the terra firma sense we know mountains as, but they're actually machine battleships- the last line of defense to keep rebels from approaching the machine city.
they lift up off the ground, and we see them unfurling some kind of tubing... remember the Sentinel's bombs from Reloaded? these battleships start spitting the bombs out at an insane pace, so that there are literally millions of the little buggers flying directly at the Logos.
Trinity realizes the futility of going straight for the battleships, and so Neo tells her to pull up.
here's where the shot of the moon comes into play guys: as they climb into the clouds, the lightning dispatches the Sentinels, and they fall away, but it also kills the engines of the Logos- though it has enough momentum to break the clouds, and we see the Logos jump like a whale through the darkness into light...
they see the sun, and then gravity kicks in... and we're falling... falling.... through the clouds, and we see the machine city. but the engines are dead. Trinity gets them started, but only in time to plunge the ship directly into a tower.
Trinity is impaled, but tells Neo to go on. Neo walks out to an opening that views the machine city, and there are little machines scurryint all around him. until there's a blast of lightning, and the little bots realize something big is coming.
it's V-GER. not really. it's the trippy head thing, minus the face. a bunch of mini-sentinels swarm out around Neo, and Neo tells it that he wants to speak, and then the machine can decide if it dies.
Neo gives his schpiel, and gets plugged in.
cut to The Matrix: Neo is walking down a street, and it's raining. cats, dogs, manatees, sheep. it's just raining. he meets up with super-Smith and they duke it out.
there's a great Smith moment here that i'll not ruin, and then the movie is basically over- except for the ending... which i'm not posting.
i can't in good faith spoil the entire film. so you'll still have to go out and watch it. too bad, so sad. end of story. for all those reading that don't believe- it's your perogitave. i don't ask that you believe. you don't have to read it- it's blacked out, for fuck's sake.
there are several points that i didn't cover, believe it or not- some stuff that you'll have to see in the film. you can't remember everything after a couple days since the viewing, and i'll be the first in line to see it again. i hope you enjoyed it.

Why Matrix can never be the best film ever is because
it isnt Riddick Vs Plisskin Vs Aliens and Predators with Terminators running about. Can you imagine the carnage.
Why doesnt Neo use his abilities to turn into King Kong and poo on Mr Smith? -

Brilliant summation, Simongrendal. Bravo. 5 stars. Kudos to you. Man, how I wish a lot of people who bitch around here would take that one simple philosophy to heart because it's fucking TRUTH. Oh yeah...can't wait to see this. No review is going to sway me. Plan to be there opening day for sure. Loved MATRIX, liked RELOADED too (just thought it could have been trimmed a bit) and I expect I'll easily get my money's worth with REVOLUTIONS and some pure adrenaline pumping, kick ass entertainment. So bring it on, baby! And I'll take the mega-sized popcorn with that!

Press screenings are great
-
is any indication of the mindset of the people who appreciate this movie then I hate it already.
Does anyone think the people who made the first film have been replaced with coke-guzzling, sanctamonious dopplegangers or are the Wachowski's just really fucking lazy?
Revolutions is a giant advert for an online game anyway so I can't express too much surprise when it turns out to be anti-climactic.
Oh, well. No loss really, I mean, we're just biding our time until The Return of the King. ELENDIL!!
-
"I liked Matrix but found it pretentious and a bit obvious."
Ok you were good from here, it WAS a tad pretentious and obvious, but desipte it was a great film. But then.."I loved Matrix :Reloaded"... i dont understand, are you saying you prefer Reloaded, which was akin to an airial view of a train wreak with cut up and then turned into a jig-saw puzzle, to the first Matrix which was new exciting and most importantly watchable more than once. If i've understood you then i dont think i need worry about your review. -
What the hell did I just spend 15 minutes reading? I thought this guy had a review of the film; it looked more like a Dennis Miller rant without all the complex words. Thanks anyway.. um... nickname with alot of numbers. Next time, use Microsoft Word.. less mistakes that way.

"You know what Radii (what?.. is that suppose to be a cool spelling of Randy?? Retard.)", radii, plural of radius, ie, the distance from the centre of a circle to it's edge. I hate to say it, but you're the one who came across as a retard there. Cool spelling of Randy, what were you thinking?

Now shut the hell up before I cook you. HA!.... Raw bean.

Lightly sauteed, if you don't mind. :)

Why don't we see people eatting and shitting and showering and doing whatever else? Because we already assume that's what goes on, and unless you're doing social realism,, which this is not, it's the stuff you skip to not bore the audience. I mean, it's like, Neo and company discuss the approaching sentinels, then we're treated to a thirty second scene of him taking a shit or eating goop or yelping under the cold water the showers on the ship have? No. Such a scene wouldn't serve to move the story along, not unless the scene had something else in it. Frankly, I think some people's standards of realism are skewed, and unrealistic. If you want real life, stay home. Art is life and perception without the meaningless and boring stuff.
-
This moron didn't like the film because instead of using the entirely OBVIOUS and BORING "Virtual reality within virtual reality" plotline, the W Brothers chose something different?
As to how Bane got invaded by Smith. We'll, if you're willing to accept that the neural interface allows "write access" "skills" (kung fu, helicopter pilot, etc) to be uploaded into the memory of someone, then by the nature of the interface, there is the possibility for someone's entire personality to be overwritten.
In any case, these kinds of nitpicks are stupid. How can Jedi's read minds? How can a ring make someone invisible?
People consistently state that they "understand" the Matrix films, and that the concepts aren't deep and are obvious, yet, they consistently post criticisms that show that they in fact, do not have a grasp of the concepts. Worse, they aren't willing to suspend disbelief for concepts that aren't even that far from reality (neural interfaces, artificial intelligences constructed by human beings and living around human beings, that might, just might, want to have a nightclub?)
-
Now it all makes sense why we're ending up with this live and let live/evolution BS ending... Just cause the Director wants to live as a woman and get twice the pleasure he currently gets.....
Live and let live! Holy crap, those Robots didn't show a whole lot of mercy to us humans did they.... Tell that shit to Captain Mifooney who gets his face sliced up by a Sentnel... "Umm we've decided to call a truce with Robots"
And now Neo loses his fight with Agent Smith? Well i guess he wasn't the ONE after all was he.
...And i'm sick of Sci-fi films telling us we should have sympathy for Artificial Intelligence... Maybe Wachowski sister is planning to become a Cyborg when she gets enough money from the franchise... F**k me what is the world coming to hahahha. -
One, I'm sick of all the people telling other people why they cannot disagree with their opinion of the film. Wake up people, not everybody thinks alike, comes from the same background, or knows the same things. It's inevitable and and justifiable that different people will think different things of a movie. ------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------- -------------------------------- Two, I really can't stand people who make heavily critical comments about movies they haven't seen, and then proceed to viciously attack any filmmaker they deem uncool, and jump on any small mistakes or idiosyncracies they don't like. I think those people act not much better than a bunch of bullies with keyboards. And guess what- no matter what you think the people you most want to influence will be the least likely to dwell on what you have to say? Why? Because you are the folks people WANT to skip over, WANT not to feel dirty reading. Y'all are the people who give talkbackers the bad name
-
between Smith and Neo will seem poor when we have seen Neo beat Snith a thousand times before.
I always thought the Matrix films were kind of overrated. -
did you miss the whole thing about Neo actually losing to Smith this time?

Reviewers who give out spoilers are ASSHOLEs, plain and simple
by rcamacho2278
I didn't even read this review, BOttom line is people who give out spoilers for a movie, are assholes. They can't review a movie without giving away the details that will make US the majority go in there and be surprised?? Many of you will read the spoiler, and go into the movie TOTALLY cheating yourself from any surprise element you might find enjoyable.
Reviewers who give spoilers are like that annoying cell phone guy who yells out "get THIS..it was a CHICK!!!"
so FUCK you Reviewer, you don't have to like the movie, but your not fucken cool to be giving out spoilers for the rest of us just cuz you saw the movie early you fucken prick.
And that goes for everyone else. Jamie bernard from the new york daily news, and anybody else who decides to send harry a review of a movie.
why don't you take a note on a proffesional reviewer like Ebert or Roeper who can give great reviews WITHOUT giving away the whole fucken story.
If I Was harry, I would'nt post spoilers on this site. If this site is about Enjoying the experience of a movie, then that also means going in and being surprised on your own element with the plot and story. Like I said, you CHEAT YOURSELVES when you read reviews from assholes who give out spoilers. -
Harry maybe you can come with some sort of ebay method of rating a reviewer's reliability. If they have a history of giving you solid info they have a higher rating (ooh look I get a red star.)
Plants would be easy to spot because this would be their first review and they would have no credit rating and be less reliable.
It would be interesting to see what the Bizarro Matrix reviewer (Me hate Matrix, me love Matrix: Reloaded...me is Superman)would have as a rating. -
Harry you should do that, have us VOTE what we think of the guys review.
AND SPOILER FREE DAMMIT.
-
Well done lad!
Not since "Does she know her daughter is alive?" in Kill Bill have I seen such a great plot twist.
cheers! -

Hmmm...a guy who was lukewarm on the matrix but loved Reloaded?
by minderbinder
And are people really reading all the spoilers? How can you possibly enjoy a movie like this with any surprises ruined in advance?
-
...if I hadn't read Dune Messiah. Now it's a retread.
-
isn't worth our attention. What a pinhead.
-
Now that's hitting below the belt. Shatner's directing skills reached their zenith in that one.

So, WTF? How did the WB go from making clever, interesting movies like Bound and M1 to crappy Star Wars/Trek POSs like M2 and M3 in such a short time period? Did the WB get taken over by agents? Was it because of Joel Silver. Have the WB been ruined by Hollywood, money, and their own egos?
-
...ANYONE would be stupid and gullible enough to believe that the spoiler review is accurate. It's not even a halfway-convincing scriptment. Of course HARRY publishes it though...

...since I'm taking the day off. How/why go to a space cowboy format in M2 and M3? I know that it's earth and they're hovercraft or whatever -- but I don't care -- they're still f.cking spaceships and M2 and M3 are f.cking space cowboy movies just set in slightly different light. IMO, all of the important battles should have taken place INSIDE the Matrix. Another poster somewhere suggested that the man/machine battles should be played out inside Matrix, but in the shadows, behind the scenes so that the average Joe wouldn't know that anything was going on. Brilliant. That's the way it should have been. It would have been beautiful -- all innuendo and uncertianty on the part of the rebels, a LOT more character development (not to mention maybe some interesting new characters), and the audience wouldn't ever be sure of what was going on or who was was winning. A movie with high WFT and whoa factors. Show, but don't tell. Instead, we get this f.cking space cowboy shoot-em-up bullshit. The WB had a good thing going inside the Matrix, they should have kept the action there. And yet another thing: Why does SF always gravitate toward space? I think that Neil Gaiman's "American Gods" would make a great SF movie, mainly because there wouldn't be any bullshit space cowboy shoot-em-ups. You'd have to delve into (gasp) the characters for that to be a good movie. The WB had a great opportunity and they blew it all to hell. Sorry for the rant, coffee hasn't kicked in yet.

Shame on you for posting that idiotic review like the one latest on MATRIX REVOLUTIONS. He's ( and maybe you too ) is just a bitter Lucas/ Star Wars fanboy looking to discredit one of the most original sci-fi trilogies in cinema history. Like a vampire, the FAKE and MORONIC "review" sucks the life out of everything good about movies. It's a disservice to cinema and it's pathetic.
There's no need to post EVERY Matrix review that comes in. Wait a bit and then sift through the intelligent ones. If you had any respect for the magic of film and the work involved in making one, you would put your ego aside and remove that review. Like now.

bunch of little kids
"oh no, he doesn't like a movie I haven't even seen yet, but will claim that it is perfect no matter what"
shut.the.fuck.up. -
This is starting to sound shittier by the minute. It is quite obvious that this should have never been a trilogy in the first place and reeks of WB pressure too eek a francise out of a movie that was self contained enough to be interesting while keeping the viewer in the dark. We are all living in the matrix, cool. Why go any further than that. Any viewer can sit and see M1 and enjoy the movie on it's merits alone, and then reach their own conclusions aka use the grey matter called a brain. Yet typical American thought processes say "hey not everyone is smart , we need to spell things out". Hence Reloaded was made for all those baffled by M1. And while the "intellegent" sit and ponder a million different outcomes the forget one simple underlying fact, it's a movie. They use script writing techniques, 90% of scripts are written the same way, and no filmmaker is more intelligent than "us" the general public. The matrix is a machine, a money making machine. Reloaded is a movie with little meaning if you don't see M1 ( sell a few more dvd's ), Revolutions is pointless without Reloaded and M1 ( hey lets release Reloaded on dvd 3 weeks before revolutions and sell even more DVDs ). And of course Revolutions will have no ending, the francise cannot die ( Ripley dies and is resurrected ). WB owns the matrix, the W bros do not. We all thought SW was finished when fireworks lit the sky as the new death star broke up, triumphant music close to credits. Ahhh, but we NEEDED to know what happened before, or did we ? Lucas had no directorial success with anything, he was stagnant as a film-maker, so he put himself back into work and ruined any mystery SW had in the first place. Thus the same has happened to the Matrix. One good premice has been bastardised into a so callled intulectual work- Good filmakers know that keeping the audience in the dark keeps the movie alive for years to come. We can still discuss 2001 A Space Odyessy for the next 10 years without coming to solid conclusions about what the hell really happened. Not the case with the Matrix, everything is explained, nothing is left to the grey matter to ponder over. Too much information reveals holes we never wanted to see in the first place. Instead of the mystery that keeps us alive we are left with "is that it?". The W bros have now proved they were never really that good as film-makers, Assasins was bad, Bound was mediorce, the Matrix would never have been anything without the genius of John G

Because he gave his tastes prior to his review. More people should do this, that way we know whether we will agree or not. Like most people, I liked the first and was bored by the second so this means I will probably disagree with his review. Don't hate the guy for his taste. If you like the second and dislike the first, you will agree with him, if you don't you won't. It's that easy.

by damitol
I only read the first review because even though I don't mind a few spoilers, I don't want the whole thing laid out for me two weeks early. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but the only thing I got out of Radii's *review* was that he went in with his mind made up as to how the story should play out, but since it didn't go that way, it sucked and was obvious. Like others, he lost me when he said he was lukewarm about Matrix but really liked Reloaded. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed Reloaded, especially as a middle chapter, but Matrix was a close to perfect Sci-fi film to my mind. OK, OK - maybe not as perfect as Lexx or Power Rangers (note heavily dripping sarcasm), but it will be in my personal top 10 for a long, long time. So, Radii is either a troll looking to piss people off or his taste is nowhere close to mine, but either way I don't put much stock in his words. No - I've been pretty accurate on the movies I thought I would love and those I would dislike this year, and I think for me the one two punch of Revolutions and RotK will end 2003 on a beautifly high note, really raising the bar for 2004 and 2005.
-
If you're talking about the second one here (by "Prof. Faber"), check back through the TB, people were demanding that Harry put it up. If you were talking about the first one on this article, then I don't see it being any worse that the positive reviews Harry posted earlier, it just offered an opposing viewpoint. When you say he should sift out the 'intelligent' ones, do you mean 'positive' ones perhaps?
-
the adults in the Charlie Brown cartoons. cuz that's what his garbled speech sounded like. I couldn't believe how terrible that scene was after all the buildup to him.
-
Your candor is appreciated.
Your statements regarding cynicism and criticising people I don't know are so redundant I can't quite formulate a response that isn't condescending.
As it is, regardless of what I post, you would probably tell me to pick a flower, kiss a baby and run giggling through a meadow with a puppy and to be happy with what I have.
I was happy with what I had. I love the original Matrix. For the first time ever I left a cinema pumped up. Adrenaline raced through my bloodstream, I felt like I could take on the world.
Reloaded wasn't that movie. It left me intrigued with the puzzle that it layed out but it also had another affect. An affect that I rarely encounter with movies anymore. I got bored. Bored! A movie with that much talent and money should at least succeed as mindless entertainment. It didn't even accomplish that.
I presumed that the studio got a hold of the script and added things but in my pursuit for answers I instead found out that the Wachowski's WERE in charge of the script and the shooting. Were they really the Wachowski's?
I ask myself the same question now because reading the synopsis for Revolutions makes me realise that, yes, it is a film made by the Wachowski's, but they aren't the same film-makers they were in 98/99. Maybe they've fallen prey to their own hype all I can say is that they're diffrent and I don't appreciate it.
I can't say the movie will be bad but the lack of invention in the story really dissapoints me. Here was I expecting to be smothered by philosophy and subtext yet what I get is another round of fucking fight sequences!
If anything I'm naive, and becoming bitter. And there are few people willing to preserve my good nature. At least in Hollywood.
So, to end this pointless post I will say this, go out and buy 'The Desert Sessions, volumes 9 & 10', featuring Josh Homme, PJ Harvey, Josh Freeze, Dean Ween. Instant cure for cynicism.
Have a good weekend.

I was refering to the current review at the top AICN's page. The one this thread is about.
Btw, I have no problem with a negative review, it's just that, to me, this current one seems like a fake. I only suggested that Mr. Knowles relax his trigger finger before posting any kind of review, whether it's postive OR negative. I know he likes vampires , werewolves etc... but does he need to contribute to the vampiric affect these " reviews " have ?
I KNOW Harry wouldn't have jumped so quickly and posted a review stating " EPISODE III is a disaster! " like he has for REVOLUTIONS. Hell, let the movie come out 1st. Give it a chance. Show some respect, make sure the reviews are AUTHENTIC and STOP playing favorites. I don't think he even realises he's doing it...
Common Harry. -
one of those people that likes to pick everything apart. "where do they shower in zion?". yeah, that's definetly what i was thinking after i saw the first two matrix movies, you fucking idiot.
-
fuck this fool. Anybody that plays the 'pretentious' name calling bit in the first paragraph is obviously a pretentious prick himself. Gimme a beak. Go back and read another textbook. Even if the film blows, by comparison its still gonna rock the balls off of anything else out there. This is new shit folks. Look at the fucking trailer. Hell you could turn the sound down and just stare at the shit and it'd still be the bomb. I'd say the pretense is all yours pal.
-
The Matrix Revolutions may indeed suck, but you are by far the worst writer I have seen on this site in a long, long time (quite a distinction, given the morons who post here). Because your review made my eyes bleed, it leads me to believe you're a total fucking idiot with an opinion that hardly matters. I'm certain most of the film went way over your head, rendering your review void of any worth. Lay off the thesaurus, learn to write English properly, and don't post here again unless I give you permission. Fucking tool.
-
The fist dude could have seen the trailer and written that "review", i haven't seen the movie and i could have told you what he did. Lying hooer.
-
HE DIDN'T UNDERSTAND IT!!!!! He probably saw all that and his brain didn't get half of it.That's why he started thinking about how do they shower and all. And to the Dumbass wo Spoiled KILL BILL: Damn you, you fool!!!!!!!!This movie will play in Brazil only in January!!!! Damn you and the horse you ride!!!!!!
-
... and we're supposed to accord this shmoe even an OUNCE of credibility?! Get outta town. I wouldn't trust this "reviewer" to poor piss out of a boot with instructions written on the heel. You gotta be kidding me...
-
The first "review," if you can call it that, claims that Neo is present with Morpheus and Trinity in Club Hel. This is completely false. Fact.
The guy who wrote the second "review," or "synopsis," already came clean in two other message boards... HE ADMITTED THAT HE MADE ALL THAT UP... come on people, that ending is just retarded. Anyone could do what he did by watching the trailers and then getting a little creative filling in the blanks.
If Revolutions does indeed end up sucking, then fine. I can handle it. But this crap? Harry, really man. What's the point?...

"HE ADMITTED THAT HE MADE ALL THAT UP" In which message board did the 2nd reviewer state this? Is it in AICN? It did seem kinda fishy.

Rate the movie for what it is, not what it is not.

THE ENTIRE "MATRIX" FRANCHISE IS A DIRECT RIP-OFF THE BOOK "VALI
by kenshiro_kane
Read it and find out what the matrix is really all about. You remember books, don't you?

... If anyone is confused by Reloaded, I suggest checking that site out. ----- iluvfilm... if you check the boards at www.thelastfreecity.com there's a thread about how the guy who wrote the second "review" is really some poster at TLFC named "Stewie" who has been full of BS in the past and was banned from the site. He claims he's only read the script, so at the very least he hasn't actually seen the movie. Either way it's a load of crap... Neo sees Smith and everything in the real world as fire after being blinded? Good gosh.

So, when is Neil Cumpston sending in a review for Revolutions?
by 007-11
Reloaded is okay, but it wasn't nearly as good as it should have been. I wasn't confused by it at all, if anything I wish I had been confused. The only kind of revelation is the whole "one" scenario being a recurring and in the end fruitless staple of the Matrix. I think I really lost it with the movie, everything from the rave scene to the multiple uninteresting action scenes had been building to this, when Neo brought Trinity back to life. Not only is this close to "jumping the shark", but if he can revive people why isn't he doing all kinds of kickass supercharged maneuvers on the people he's fighting? "I know kung-fu", yeah, that's all you know.

ok folks, this is it! No more bull crap from wannabees anymore. this is the complete movie spoiler for the Matrix Revolutions. Here we go !!!
"The Speak The Truth Scriptment"
--REAL PLOT SPOILERS--
Movie opens with the green code, Warner Bros. and the logo, The Matrix Revolutions. The code dissapears and we see a flash as the movie picks up exactly where the last one did, with Bane and Neo on the tables, knocked out. Trinity is slowly whispering to Neo to wake up, then talks to the nurse. The nurse explains that it seems that Neo is jacked into the Matrix. Trinity questions how this is possible and relays the message to Morpheus. Morpheus gives her the news that Niobi's ship has crashed and she is stranded with Ghost. Morpheus says that shes got important information in regards to Neo. Trinity says to hurry up and go.
They fly the Hammer into a crater and find the crashed Logos. Morpheus and his crew go into the ship to discover that the power is out. With a bit of repairs, the ship will work again. During this time, Bain awakens, but notices that he is another room and not in Neo's place. Also during this time, Niobi explains to Trinity that the Oracle has loads of information as to the whereabouts of Neo and how to save him, and that only Trin can save him. Link finishes the repairs on the ship by giving some of the Hammer's power to it and it is ready to set out. Morpheus and Trinity ask for the Logos so that they can go into broadcast depth, as well as they explain that there is a survivor on the Hammer which needed to be taken to Zion (they dont know Bane is on the Logos). Niobi and Ghost take the Hammer and head back to Zion while Morph, Link, Trin, and the unconscious Neo head into broadcast depth. Trinity looks at Neo, pleading for him to awaken and we get a nice fade into Mobil Ave.
Neo sees three power-lines in the desert of the real inside of his head. Neo awakens in Mobil Ave with a headache. He checks his body for injuries (including his belly-button), and gets up and sees a little girl there.
She smiles at him, and he tells her to wait. He looks around and sees that he is in some sort of abandoned subway station. He reads "Mobil Ave." on the walls. The little girl (the child) walks up to him and says "welcome to limbo.. i am Sati". Neo asks her what happened, where Trinity is, where he is, etc. Sati says that he is in a place between the Matrix and the Machine World. Neo gets up, confused, and tries to walk away, with Sati following. She says that the body cannot live without the mind, but the mind can live without the body, and not to worry because help is coming. A subway train whizzes by... stops... then keeps going. Neo notices the "LOOP" at the front and back of the Train.
Meanwhile, Trinity and Morpheus arrive at the Oracle's apartment, and are greeted by Seraph. He explains that they must defeat him in battle before meeting with the Oracle, but suddenly Smith bursts through the door. Three Smith Clones comes in, and Morpheus and Trin try to battle it out with them, but are beat. Seraph steps in and beats the Smiths and kicks them through the door. Trinity and Morpheus wonder how Seraph could possibly be so powerful, and he simply says "You dont believe in angels?"
Seraph takes Trinity and Morpheus to see the Oracle. The Oracle welcomes them, and Trin wastes no time in asking about Neo. The Oracle says he is being held captive by the Merovingian, and that he is in a place between the Matrix and the machine world. Morpheus asks about her appearance, and she explains that she was given up the Merovingian by two programs which hatched a child within the Matrix which is vital to the future. She says she had to change appearance to escape the Merovingian. The Oracle tells them that Neo needs their help and that the only way to break him out is to go see the Merovingian, who controls the time within the Matrix, in Club Hell. Trinity and Morpheus are set to go, but Seraph decides to go with them to help out.
We see a couple of scenes with Smith taking over people within the Matrix, laughing more and more and becoming more and more human.
Back In Mobil Ave, Neo decides to sit at the bench and the child explains the nature of the Matrix. She tells him that the machines simply want love, and that she is the first to achieve that. Neo takes a closer look and sees that her code is bizarre, with a heart, pumping blood, human-like. She says she is the first program to be born within the Matrix out of love, and that evolution can only happen if both humans and machines team-up. Suddenly, a subway train opens and Rama Chandra steps out. Sati is happy to see him and they embrace, along with the mother.
Neo meets with them and Rama Chandra explains to Neo that he is trapped within the Matrix and the Real World. Rama recognizes him as the Systemic Anomaly who did not return to the Source. He says that The Matrix is crashing slowly due to that, and that soon all the minds inside will be killed and awakened inside of their pods. Rama Chandra explains that his daughter is the only means of survival and the key to unlocking an evolution. Neo asks what this place is, and Rama explains that Mobil Ave is a construct created between The Matrix and the Machine World for all of those Anomalys who touched the Source. He explains after leaving the Architect's room, that Neo's mind did not properly go to where the anomaly's code was programs. Mobil Ave is a subway leading through the Matrix so that the Anomaly can choose the 16 females and 7 males neccessary to rebuild Zion. However, since Neo did not touch the source, the code in his mind corrupted, and his mind was still in the construct inside of the Machine World. However, due to an abrupt hexadecimal in which the only way to access the Architect's room is with the special key, Neo was sent immediately to Mobil Ave as if he was there to choose the new Zionists. Neo finally understands. He asks how he can leave, and Rama Chandra explains that it is impossible for him to leave unless the Trainman allows him passage into the Matrix again. Neo sits down, waiting for escape.
In Zion, Niobi makes preparations to cut the Sentinels off before they reach the backwalls. Niobi and Ghost head-off on a new ship to try to drop an EMP directly underneath the digging site, to buy the Zionists some time to prepare. Her and Ghost start to plot out exactly how to cut off the Sentinels. The Zionists, specially Locke, are well aware of the situation that Neo is not the One, and now must plot to survive. Locke points out that Morpheus is a twit, and Niobi gets a pretty angry look on her face because of it.
Trinity, Morpheus, and Seraph break into the coat room of Club Hell and are greeted by unwelcoming guests. There is a huge battle in the Coat Room reminiscent of the first Matrix lobby fight. Guns go off and such and Seraph, Morpheus, and Trinity truly show off their skills in this one, including the super-strong Seraph. After the huge fight, they arm themselves and walk down to the lower levels of Club Hell, guns drawn,
asking for the Merovingian. They are taken by Persephone who is there, to see the Merovingian. Trinity, Morpheus, and Seraph go see the Merovingian.
After a small speech explaining his existence, as well as Persephone's, he asks for the Eyes of the Oracle. Only after he gets those can Trinity gain access to Mobil Ave. to save Neo. Trinity, Morpheus, and Seraph ask The Merovingian what the "Eyes of the Oracle" are, and he explains that he needs the "angelic one", that being Seraph. Seraph offers himself, and is surrounded by Mero's men, but Trinity pulls a gun away and puts it to Merovingian's head. After some dialogue, Merovingian gives it up.
The Trainman sneaks out of the back and goes through to find a train, he heads to Mobil Ave. The Merovingian allows passage and Trinity, Seraph, and Morpheus are slowly taken to the door leading to Mobil Ave, but the Trainman is already there. The Twins appear, sent by the Merovingian, and Trin, Morph and Seraph have to fight the Twins off. Back at Mobil Ave, The Trainman hurries Rama Chandra and the Child so that they can be safe. Neo tries to get out through the train and gets punched for his troubles.
Meanwhile, Trin, Seraph, and Morph have their hands full with the Twins. Suddenly, The Train bursts through the door with Rama, the child, and the mother. The Twins attack them, but Seraph jumps in the way saving them. Seraph and Morph volunteer to hold the Twins back while Trinity goes to save Neo in Mobil Ave. In the subway car, The Trainman explains only she can tap into Neo's mind because she is the one who he loves and the reason he made the choice for her instead of saving Zion at the Source. She says she only cares for his safely. They make it to Mobil Ave and Neo and Trinity hug.
Neo asks the Trainman why he didn't let Neo go through to the Matrix, and the Trainman explains that he cannot be brought into the Matrix without a guide (Trin) or else his mind will be powerless sort of like how it was in Mobil Ave. They all hop on the Train and head back.
Meanwhile, Seraph and Morph are getting pounded by the Twins. Neo and Trinity return, and Neo takes on one Twin, beating him up rather quickly, even damaging him during the phasing. They return to the core of Club Hell where the Merovingian watches. He orders the Twins to destroy Neo and the child. They arm themselves with rotating blades and attack Neo. The fight is spectacular, but a tad bit short (only about 8 minutes). Neo makes short work of one twin by punching right through his code, and the other attacks the child, but Seraph runs in the way and takes the slash, dying at the feet of the Twin. The child cries, and Rama and the mother carry her away. Trinity and Morpheus lead them out while Neo kicks a hole in the other Twin's stomach, killing him. The Merovingian, angry as ever, reveals that the place is wired to explode in seconds.
Neo, Trin, Morph, Sati, Rama, Sati's mother all escape seconds before it escapes due to Neo's flight. Afterwards, Neo thanks Morpheus and tells Rama and family to hide out from Smith, who is coming in his direction. He reveals that he can sense Smith and that Smith can sense him. Neo wonders how he is going to be able to jack out, and Trinity tells him to see the Oracle. Morph and Trin jack out via telephone and Neo flies to the Oracle's apartment. Minutes later, Smith arrives at their location, but there is no Neo to be found. He takes over more humans.
In the real world, Morph and Trin await for Neo to return to the real world in the Logos. Bain is hiding in the back, deciding not to do anything yet.
Neo arrives at the Oracle's apartment, and she greets him as usual. Neo quickly asks what he can do and if Zion can be saved, and she says that teamwork is the only way to the future. Neo explains his dream about the three power-lines and she says it is the road to the Machine City. She says that he must travel to 01 and meet with Deus Ex Machina, the Machine Ruler, to make a truce. She explains that Smith is taking over the Matrix and that by this time tommorow, The Matrix would crash and Smith would awaken in thousands of bodies in the real world. She says that the future lies in his hand and that only he can save them. He wonders about their connection, and she explains that when Neo jumped into his body, he overwrote Smith's own code with his own human code. This explains Smith's rise in power, his ability to clone himself, and his uncanny human characteristics. She says that while Neo is becoming more machine-like due to having some of Smith's code, that Smith is becoming more human and that they will soon be at equal power. Neo asks if he can stop him, and The Oracle says that he must have hope. Neo wonders how it is possible for him to return to the real world, and she gives him a red pill. She says he will have to go into replication. Neo takes the pill and bids farewell to the Oracle. His code dissapears and his eyes open in the real world.
Trinity grabs him and Morpheus welcomes him back. Neo gets up and says he knows what he has to do now. Link arrives and asks for objectives. Neo says that they must head to the machine city. Morpheus, who has practically given up hope, refuses and says that Zion must be saved and that they have to go back and help. Neo says there is no other choice, but Trinity supports him. So basically, they decide to drop Morpheus off back at Zion and continue. The journey to Zion starts.
Meanwhile, in the Matrix, Smith bursts into The Oracle's apartment. Smith looks for Neo but realizes that he is gone. After some talk about her willingness to help the humans, Smith says that he is the only future of both worlds, and not humans nor machines. The Oracle says that this is futile and that Neo will stop him, and Smith says that he is beyond "Mr. Anderson". Smith says that he will take her knowledge, but she self-deletes before he can do so. Smith gives an angry smirk on his face, which soon turns to laughter. He walks outside and notices that it has started to rain. He smiles again and keeps taking more people...
The Logos returns to Zion and a council meeting is set. Information about the machines and their tunnelling is revealed, as well as Niobi gives out her plan, which Lock is strickly against. Meanwhile, Bane sneaks onto Zion, watching Neo, following him. The Kid meets with Neo once again, and annoys him, but they wish each other good luck. Neo has a strange feeling inside of him, that they are being followed in a hallway, and The Kid has the same feeling, but both simultaneously shrug it off.
After some rest, Neo and Trinity have a conversation about what is coming, and Neo talks about fear. Both once again do the "lovey dubey" stuff, and Morpheus and Link come in. Trinity says that she will not stand around for Neo to die and that she'll be with him. The scene is very admirable. Neo and Morpheus hug and say their goodbyes, as well as Trin and Link. Morpheus still wants to believe, and Niobi comes in, wishing Neo luck. Morpheus and Niobi have a short conversation about believing in The One and in the prophecy, which Niobi denounces, but admits that Neo has grown on her and that he is indeed unbelievable.
Bane sneaks aboard the Logos behind Neo and Trinity.
We see scenes of the Zionists preparing, including Mifune. They are accounting all of the APUs and weaponry and preparing for the showdown. We see another scene of the Sentinels digging deeper and deeper.
Neo and Trinity board the Logos and undock, heading out of Zion for the surface. Neo decides to go down below to rest and prepare, but is attacked by Bane. Neo and Bane wrestle around, and Neo starts to pound him. Bane reveals his true identity as Smith, but Neo doesn't believe. Bane grabs the electro-blaster and shoots it at Neo, blinding him.
Neo can't see, but focuses and soon sees in a weird orange light He realizes Bane is Smith and knows that it is impossible. After more fighting, Neo grabs the electro-blaster and fires it at him multiple times, killing Bane/Smith.
Trinity runs in and Neo reveals that Smith can now hack into real people using the hardline if he takes their RSI from the Matrix. Neo says that Smith could take over every human plugged into the Matrix in the real world when it crashes, and that now Neo can actually see and feel them. He says he learned that they are linked now, and that when each one grows in power, the other feels it and such. They return to the cock-pit where they head out over a huge mountain to the surface and the desert of the real. Neo senses the three power lines from his dream and tells Trinity to follow them.
In the Matrix, Smith fights some Agents which attack him and assimilates them easily... laughing, saying that he has evolved from their kind. The raindrops begin to fall more and more and the city is seemingly overtaken by nothing but Smiths, who all laugh at once.
Meanwhile, in Zion, Morpheus and Niobi head out in the Hammer to drop the Super EMP. They fly right underneath of the tunnels outside of Zion, being backed by Ghost and the crew of his ship. After a spectacular, yet kinda short, chase sequence where Sentinels discover and chase the Hammer, Ghost's ship takes care of the Sentinels with an EMP. Morpheus and Niobi fly together, looking at each other, Morpheus revealing that he still cares for her, and Niobi says she cares for all in Zion.
Meanwhile, The Logos is attacked by weird, Sentinel-like machines and shrimp bombs, in which Neo takes care of quite easily with his new abilities. Trinity is still befuddled as to how he is able to stop the machines in the real world, and Neo says its something he took from Smith. The scene is pretty long, but nothing dramatic happens except some cool moves by Trin and Neo's amazing ability to kill Sentinels.
They (Morph, etc) arrive directly over the Sentinels, dropping the super EMP, buying Neo and the Zionists some time. Ghost, Niobi, and Morpheus head back to Zion to help them prepare for the remaining Sentinels at the backwalls.
Neo and Trinity fly above the clouds and notice that the sky is indeed blue and not scorched. Neo can feel it, and Trinity gasps because of the fact that it makes no sense. Suddenly, a machine hits the ship and the Logos comes crashing down right into the outer walls of 01. Trinity is left there, unconscious, and Neo tries to wake her up, but he cannot. Neo sees 01, and heads inside of a small door, bigger than a human. He steps through it, noticing some bizarre blue liquid around him, submerged.
Meanwhile, back in Zion, the Sentinels have at last broken the dock and head inside. The APUs led by Mifune attack them with a fury of bullets, and many Sentinels are taken out, but the battle begins. Some humans use rocket launchers to nail the sentinels. The Sentinels make it inside of Zion and the battle fully begins. Ships are blown up, bodies are exploded, all hell breaks loose. Zee is trapped within the inner walls of the depths of Zion, and with the help of a rocket-launching friend, dashes through and makes it inside of Zion to Link. They embrace as they watch the Sentinels and the humans basically destroy each other, showing a true movie struggle which has not been seen in a sci-fi film since the battle of Endor on Return of the Jedi.
At this point, Neo is in a place which looks sort of like a docking bay. He looks up with his vision, seeing all sorts of machines all over the place. The Machine City of 01 is beautiful, orchestrated as if it were submerged underwater. Neo can sense machines all over the place, some even looking VERY humanoid. In fact, he even sees a machine with plugs on its body which looks unbelievably human. This puzzles Neo as he continues to venture deeper into 01. A door opens in front of him, leading him into a bizarre blue chamber, which quickly turns to a deep orange color. Suddenly he is hit with a bizarre orange blast which lifts him up in the air, paralyzing him, then bringing him down (sort of like an EMP, only this looked like a Sentinel). His body becomes limp and some machines pick him up and drag him somewhere unexpected...
The Kid watches this battle and watches the people of Zion get slaughtered by the incoming Sentinels. At the same time, Morpheus and Niobi arrive in Zion, after escaping some Sentinels. Ghost saves them both at the cost of his own life as we see him get virtually mutilated by the machines (pretty sad, i liked Ghost). More death and destruction is seen and The Kid has had enough and goes up on a mountain in Zion, screaming at the Zionists. He screams about humanity, and that the struggle with continue unless they stop it now. The Kid gives an amazing speech about survival. All of the Zionists get their weapons and throw them at the incoming Sentinels, which are basically making minsemeat out of the inner walled Zionists. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Niobi and Morpheus arrive in the Hammer and drop the EMP, saving them both. They go pick up The Kid who was about to get attacked by a Sentinel, and he is welcomed on the ship.
Outside, on the walls, the struggle continues. The Zionists use some last-ditch bombs, sort of like napalm, to eliminate more machines, but it seemingly does nothing as they just keep coming and keep coming. Many Zionists are in tears due to the fact that the Machines are digging deeper within the walls of Zion, destroying whatever they can get their hands on. Morpheus asks Neo to hurry.
Meanwhile, at 01, Neo awakens and gets up, walking towards a huge, sort of peak.
There, Deus Ex Machina speaks with Neo. Neo places down his bargain about saving Zion from Smith. Deus Ex Machina asks the purpose, since all humans have tried to do is to destroy them since their birth. Neo bargains that it is the other way around, and Deus Ex Machina explains the story of the birth of the machines and how their true purpose was simply to love.
Deus Ex Machina explains about evolution, and that humanity always had something the machines valued more, and that was emotion. Neo says that soon neither one of them will exist because Smith will destroy them both, as he only cares about his own selfish ways. Deus Ex Machine says that that is only because Smith is becoming human, thanks to Neo. Neo says that now he himself is becoming more machine, thanks to Smith, and that he can virtually feel them.
Back at Zion, the war is continuing and the humans are losing. As newer Sentinels and some other types of Machines dash inside and start to rip things up. The Hammer crash lands into a huge pot of squiddies, killing most of them. Morpheus and Niobi get out of the cockpit and into the lower halls, (but the Kid stays to watch), and mourn the loss of the precious Zion. Morpheus goes back to believing in Neo. Locke arrives onto the Hammer, telling Morpheus, Niobi, and The Kid to escape Zion with their lives, but Morpheus refuses, saying he will fight for his city. Niobi takes his side, saying that that "all will be lost no matter what". Locke's jealousy arises (specially since Niobi and Morph spent so much time together), and he attacks Morpheus. Morpheus and Locke fight for a while, and Morph gets the upper hand. Niobi tries to break it up, but there is no such thing. Locke grabs the electro-gun and shoots at Morpheus, knocking him for a whirl. Locke screams at Morph about his foolish beliefs in Neo and the prophecy of the One, and such, calling him names. Niobi has had enough, revealing she loves Morph, and grabs the gun and blasts Locke three times, killing him. Morph and Niobi have a short conversation about love, and they embrace.
Deus Ex Machina drops the revelation that all of those born into bondage have that ability, due to the fact that all humans are relatively part machines. Neo is shocked to learn this, and Deus Ex Machina explains that the purpose of the One is to help the machines themselves discover love. He says that there is no truth without lies and that they needed to fool the humans into believing several things (the skies, the One, that they are fully human, that Zion can survive), and its all a part of control to become human, which was the Machines true purpose, shocking as it is. Neo partially believes Deus Ex Machina, due to the fact that he can sense truth due to his machine senses. Deus Ex says that now that Neo has been the first human/machine anomaly to feel the emotion of love, they need him to touch the source (implanting the code of emotion and love to all machines) and end the struggle once and for all. Neo thinks harshly, realizing that if he had touched the Source, that perhaps the war could be over, but Neo also realizes that he can't fully trust Deus Ex. Neo strikes a bargain, saying that if he Deus Ex Machina spares Zion and his people, as well as bringing Trinity back, that he will rid the Matrix of Smith and touch the Source for them.
Deus Ex, skeptical at first, agrees and Neo is jacked in.
The signal from 01 of the Matrix is sent into Zion. All of the Sentinels stop their attack suddenly, and all of the humans watch the Matrix on the monitor, preparing for the Superbrawl...
The signal from 01 of the Matrix is sent into Zion. All of the Sentinels stop their attack suddenly, and all of the humans watch the Matrix on the monitor, preparing for the Superbrawl. Trinity's limp body shakes suddenly. Niobi, Morph, and the rest of Zion watches the Matrix, seeing only Smith until...
Neo appears in the Matrix, off the same phonebooth that he spoke on from the first Matrix, seeing tons of Smiths all over the Matrix. He looks around, all of them growl and snarl at him. He walks down the street path, and one single Smith steps out of the croud and stares him down (like in the trailers).
Then, of course, as you may know, this happens :
Smith: "Mr. Anderson Welcome Back... We Missed You..."
Neo: "It ends tonight..."
Smith:"Do You like what ive done with the place...? It is even more sublime than before..."
Neo: "Im here to put an end to your reign of terror... as well as your clones..."
Smith: "Oh them... well you don't have to worry about them. I have grown in power beyond anything that this primitive system can conjure up... including you Mr. Anderson. Thats why the rest of "me" is just going to enjoy the show, because i think we all know that i'm the one... that beats you..."
Both Neo and Smith run at each other at a rapid speed and start some Kung-Fu action at the center of the street. They both get some hits in on each other and it is relatively even with neither gaining an advantage. Bullet-time is utilyzed on a few of the hits and it goes back and forth. They both punch each other at the same time, fly back, land on their feet, and fly back towards each other, causing a huge explosion ripple. A lot of the glass on the buildings are crushed and we can see tons of Smiths watching the fight. They start to fight and fly simultaneously up into the air, then Neo knocks Smith down, destroying a piece of the sidewalk. Both of them fly up the air simultaneously, doing another energy ripple, bouncing off each other with an unbelievable force. They go plowing through the skies and under buildings until finally they fly above the skyscrapers. There is a humongous aerial battle that takes place here, in various altitudes, as they rip each other up through buildings and whatnot. The battle goes into high in the air as they pound each other down furiously, as Smith taunts Neo about his power.
In Zion, everyone is watching the fight in disbelief. Niobi and Morph watch with their jaws dropped at the epic battle.
The Kid and everyone are rooting for Neo, and it seemingly feels as if the Kid is twitching with every blow. We see a nice montague of everyone in Zion, from Morpheus and Niobi, as well as the council, the ship captains, Zee, Link, everybody watches, rooting for Neo to destroy Smith. Neo and Smith continue their battle bashing each other through several building and whatnot. The blows are vicious and it is a beautiful mix between martial arts and street fighting. The two entities wrestle around in the air over the city, until they crash into the Metacortex building not far. They stare each other down in the very same computer room that Neo worked in. They begin to throw around the objects with thier power, causing huge convulsions of energy. Neo starts to get the upper hand, slamming Smith through several walls into a room with tons of TVs which all show Smith's face. Neo kicks him out of the building, and Smith comes back and pounds him some more.
They both fly out of the building wrestling around into yet another building right next to Metacortex, and then down into the ground into the chinese teashop (of the Seraph battle), flying all over the place in the Matrix. They go into a building. Neo and Smith face each other again and pause, and Smith gloats about his increase in power. Smith says that now he is far stronger than Neo, and that "no prophecy, no act of god, or no force of nature can possibly put an end to his takeover. He says it is inevitable." Neo comes back with something along the lines of "humanity will survive, machines will survive, programs will survive, but i'll make sure you dont" and Smith snaps back with "Why in the hell would you be helping machines?" and Neo says "Because i choose to". Smith says: "perhaps my old self would've already been compelled to do the same, but i am reborn... ressurected... and thirsty for everything," and Neo says "I won't let it happen". They start fighting furiously again.
They fight all over, destroying each other until they wind up on the roof of the Metacortex building. Smith begins to gain the upper hand, pounding on Neo hard. Neo tries to attack, but Smith shows his speed, pounding Neo into the ground. Smith starts to throw Neo around like a ragdoll, doing all sorts of punches, kicks, grabs, and even a headbutt. Neo is pounded, but tries to fight back. As he is getting slaughtered, he is bounced around the city until he utters the words "Trinity...". Smith goes and kicks Neo while he is down, laughing at him. Smith says that he wanted to be human... to be a virus, and now he has it. Soon he will be free, and Mr. Anderson will be dead.
In the real world, Trinity's limp body is carried to Deus Ex Machina.
As Neo is getting pounded, all of the sudden, Trinity appears. Trinity says that this ends now. Trinity attacks Smith and gets a few blows in until she is pounded down. Neo gets up angrily, attacking Smith with a punch sending him flying into a building. Neo and Trinity look at each other, and are both shocked to see each other. Trinity says that the future is dependent on both of them to continue civilation, and humanity. Smith flies back and they keep fighting. Trinity interviens, but is soon knocked away by Smith, who also knocks Neo away. Smith sticks his hand inside of Trinity, turning her into a clone. Neo screams in pain, crying. He gets up with a furious face and begins to attack Smith furiously.
Neo sends Smith down the building all the way down as they crash the entire city, forming a humongous crater. Neo goes into the crater to find Smith missing. He looks up to see all of the other Smith clones stare him down, and he cant pick which one is the "super smith".
Suddenly, from behind, Smith attacks pounding Neo. Neo comes back and says its "for Trinity", and he jumps inside of Smith's body, ripping out of it with Trinity in his arms. Smiths code is bounced around like at the end of the first Matrix. Smith apparently dies.
All seems well as they hold each other, but suddenly, the other Smiths start laughing. Neo tells Trinity to run as Smith puts his code back together. Smith laughs again, saying that he cannot lose. Neo and Smith fight once again in a furious battle where this time Neo gains the upper hand. After a few blows, Neo powers up his fist and punches Smith in the face, forcing his face to bounce inside of itself and explode in a huge flurry of code which Neo absorbs into himself. He looks at the camera and his eyes open. At last, Smith is dead. Neo looks at the other Smiths and fires a unique green code at them, and they all transform back into confused humans, which suddenly fall limp.
Zion throws a humongous celebration as Neo at last has saved humanity and the machines from the terror of Smith. Neo gets up in the middle of street, holding Trinity, kissing her. In the real world, both Neo and Trinity's bodies are limp, as if they were dead. Suddenly, the Architect appears. The Architect says that the path of the One ends now, with Neo touching the source, reloading the Matrix. The Architect hands Neo a key which can only be opened from a door in the Metacortex building, which is the backway into the source. Neo goes up to the Architect and says "i warned you... i did not want to meet again" and sticks his fist into the Architect, blowing him up, basically deleting him. Neo says "at last... there is no more control."
Suddenly, Sati, Rama Chandra, and her mother appear on the streets. Sati embraces Neo and welcomes a new era, where the mind can live on without the body in the newly reloaded and rebuilt Matrix. Sati explains that love is the key to everlasting happiness and immortality, and that now all can feel love. Neo sends a signal to the Kid (through the cybernetic mind) telling him to watch over everything while he is gone, and the Kid guarantees that it will happen. Niobi says "Neo...". Neo gives a speech about the future, cooperation, and that we are all human and machines, and that the mind and the body don't neccessarily have to be one, and that now he understands exactly what the Matrix is... and thats "Immortality". Neo says that the body can indeed live without the mind, in the afterlife, in the Matrix, as long as there is choice. From now on, Neo says that he will ensure that there is choice and that there will always be choice, and now... humanity will control everything. Neo bids farewell to his friends, and welcomes a new era.
The Zionists rejoice and the Machines start to help rebuild Zion and remove the skies.
Neo grabs Trinity and they fly to the Metacortex building, and open the mysterious door. Once again, we are in the TV room... this time... no Architect. Instead, the chair is empty with the white pen. Neo picks up the pen and pushes the button and all of the TV screens show bar code. He says "Now thats more like it". Neo and Trinity look at each other and Trinity asks "which door?". Neo says "Choice is an illusion... but everything begins with it. We have the power to lay the foundation for the future... both doors." Neo and Trinity simultaneously open both doors (touching the Source, reloading the Matrix, and inserting his code of love into the machines). Suddenly, the screen turns white and shows space once again.
We cut to a scene of the real world where the skies are being repaired. Morpheus and Niobi are together, and everybody is throwing a huge party at Zion. For once, the humans can see the surface. The Kid is at 01 with a few others, trying to create a perfect economy in a room with humans, machines, and human/machine influences. The Kid quickly says "be right back". The Kid steps outside and closes his eyes, suddenly we see his eyes open in the Matrix as he is surrounded by people. He grabs the payphone, dials a number, and Neo says hello. The Kid says "You told them how it was going to end... and remember... everything that has an end, has a new beginning. You were always the One." On the other side of the line, we see Neo sitting in the Architect's chair with Trinity standing in front of him. He says "Everything begins with more than just choice... it begins with love... and ends with power... love is power... and evolution is re-evolution...". Suddenly, The Kid returns to the real world, telling the council everything is good in the Matrix. Neo hangs up the phone and smiles.
There is a huge scene of the Matrix with humans interacting, showing love, along with programs.
We see a scene of a gravestone that says "Here lies Thomas Anderson... The 'One' who gave us a new world..."
Suddenly, one small line of green code covers the screen, followed by others until they form "THE END"...
Credit Roll....
There ya go... stick that in ure pipe and smoke it...

If that's his idea of good sci-fi, my money's still on the Wachowskis. Gaaaaa.
-
Millions of people will end themselves if thats what really happens.
-
FUCK him, WHo the fuck is HE? some nobody thats who. He aint Ebert, He aint Roeper, HE aint morierty, He aint HARRY, hes some fucken dumb gimp whos too fucken stupid to give a review spoiler free.
The fucken end??
no fuck YOU Radi ! THE END... -
Nobody believes that rag.
-
Uh, yeah. This gives the reviewer the exact same credibility in my mind as anyone who says the same thing about Episodes 1 and 2. That is, ZILCH.
-
no dice.
Well, this guy seems pretty on point. I mean if his nurse let him see this film...he must be making progress. And progress is all I can ask for. -
...You guys are funny. You bend over backwards straining to find reasons to slag off this guy's review, because the idea that maybe, possibly, this film is a steaming pile of horseshit, evidently takes away all of life's meaning for you. Why are you so threatened? What the fuck? It's just a fucking movie! I'm sure you said the exact same things about somebody who told the truth about "Reloaded" before it came out. And we all know how that one turned out. ZZZZZZZZZZ. I thought this guy's review (the first one) was as articulate as we can possibly expect from an average viewer who's not PAULINE KAEL. What do you expect a THESIS PAPER?? He makes it very clear what he didn't like about it: the pacing is off, the dialogue laughable, the plot choices dull... Did we read the same fucking review? Did you even bother to read it?? Or were you just searching for some tiny little detail that you can then use to discount his opinion. Oh, he's left-handed, FUCK HIM! How pathetic. I honestly have no idea why ANYONE bothers to post reviews on this site anymore. All people do is tear the review apart no matter what the person says. You can't win! You all haven't seen the movie yet, but you have the arrogance and ignorance to call him a moron? What if you end up...(gasp)...agreeing with him? I have no idea what the purpose of these talkbacks are anymore. They seem to have lost any and all positive value. Shut them down, Harry. Shut them down and shut everybody up. Make everybody crawl off to their corners and figure out a healthier way to vent their spleen. Do it. You'll be doing us all a favor, taking the needle out of our arm. SHUT...IT...DOWN.
-
I guess if I agree with him. I will still think he writes poorly.
Honestly I didn't want to read all the way through the review...trying to excercise restraint this time around.
So yeah...bitch away friend. I am at work and bored. -
I posted an incomplete sentence. Now it is I who writes poorly. Tragic circles.

Saying that 2001: a space odyssey can be debated for 10 years. If you bother to read the book instead of watching the bastardized movie version, you will have no questions about the ending. Then you could read the three sequels (2010, 2061, and 3001). The movie was a piece of cinematic crap, made when kubrick had way too many drugs in his system. ------------------------------It just completely floors me that you would say that 2001 was a good movie that is worthy of further consideration, as to its meaning. ----WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!!!!!-----------------------Also, matrix 1 was ok, but predictable. Reloaded sucked because it plodded from one forced plot device to the next. I hope that Revolutions is better, but seeing that it was made by the same people that thought the car scene NEEDED to be that LONG, I am ready to be disappointed again.
-
I heard a rumor that johnny depp was originally going to play neo. Imagine if an actor with talent would have been in these movies. Maybe then, the movies could have survived some of the laughable dialogue that neo spouts. KEANU REEVES-----WHOAAA!
-
reloaded was great, wasn't it. you total moron. this review inspires me to see revolutions more than any other positive review ever could.
-
Saw the movie at a trade screening on Thursday morning. Admittedly, when I saw Reloaded, my initial reaction was one of disappointment, yet on further viewings, I softened and now enjoy it. So maybe the same will happen to Revolutions, but I doubt it.
My problems: 1)In the first film there were three scenes that standout as classics: Neo vs. Morpheus, the helicopter crash, Neo vs. Smith in the subway. In Reloaded there were two: Burly brawl, and the freeway chase. In Revolutions, there isn't a single scene that stands out as classic. Some will point to the final Neo vs. Smith fight in which the only new element is them fighting in the air. But the best fight between them is still the first film.
2) All the passion between Neo and Trinity that was the focus of Revolutions, is an afterthought in this film.
3) Morpheus is relegated to passenger seat commentator.
4) Persophone has one line. The big scene with her kiss of Neo in Reloaded has no payoff in this one.
5)Zion battle - while this is visually impressive, it still is essentially a battle in which a lot of bullets are fired, but the outcome is inevitable. I would be shocked if anyone watches this and doesn't think what I thought, "When are we going to get back to Neo?"
6)There are no new evil characters like the twins of Reloaded. Oh, I'm sorry there's the Trainmaker. Please.
7)The movie ends and most of our questions go unaswered. Now, maybe on second viewing, I'll find some, but I sure didn't see them the first go round.
8) A main character dies, which makes some of what happened in Reloaded, pointless.
All in all, it feels like they rushed this film and didn't think it through to its best effect. It will have a huge opening, but then will drop like a rock. I don't see why many will bother with second viewings. But despite my disappointment, and maybe my expectations were too high, it still beats any of the Star Wars prequels. -
saw this film.I left in disappointment. @#@$@%%@NEO DIES@#@$@$

Gee...how come we haven't seen a negative Kill BIll review?
by junior frenger
Yeah, I know there was one buried in with a bunch of rave reviews, but really how come not one single posting of a negative review for kill bill, yet Matrix Revolutions gets a spot all by itself, hell it was posted at the top of the page this afternoon. Ya know most of Reloaded was pretentious hooey, but at least it was entertaining and it was trying to say something.Hey Knowles, I dare you to post a scathing review of Kill Bill at the top of your page. Go on do it, what have you got to lose? Your credibility is shot.
-
Man talk about a downer. Trinity and dies, Smith kills Neo, and we get a 'kinda sorta' ending. Sure, by killing Neo Smith in turn finally gets what's coming to him... but this film looks like it's going to make us sad. I suppose Morpheus and Niobe get back together, which is good, but it sounds like we'll be leaving the theater with a bad taste in our mouths.
I wish Neo would see how HOT that big-boobed and sultry Persephone is and dump that dike Trinity, man. Seeing Monica Belucci's huge titties would make up for some of the depression that this movie is going to bring me. -
Okay okay, I read that big long post by NeoTheStampeded. I know, I'm a spoiler whore. But if that version is the correct version (and I would accept it, a teacher of mine has had the Revolutions script for some time), then WOW. Apparently the Wachowskis watched a lot of Dragonball Z. Neo and Smith flying through the air smashing through buildings, blowing shit up this way and that? Hell, we're a kamehameha wave away from a live-action Dragonball Z. And in my opinion, that is NOT AT ALL a bad thing. But who's to really say, we're about 2 weeks from release. It seems that you can read all the spoilers you want and still be surprised. The Matrix is just one of those flicks you have to see a few times to understand.
-
No mention of proper actual story points, nothing in it that couldn't have been made up or taken from bits and pieces of other information. Everything is written from the perspective of shafting every aspect of what the "reviewer" hasn't actually seen. Obviously written by someone that hates the Matrix trilogy. I wouldn't have put it on the website.
-
"Stewie" from thelastfreecity.com didn't write the synopsis. he claimed to on the message board, stating that anyone could claim credit to it. i could tell you guys that i wrote it, but would you believe me? i'll put $100 on the synopsis posted here, that it's correct, and a factual representation of the events of Revolutions.

I really wanna know what kinda movies you fucken negative bitches like? EVEN I who didn't think much of kill bill said it was a fun ride. Because I just love movies, I love being able to escape. but you Fuckheads nit pick every single fucken thing. Oh the cgi was horrible, Oh the plot was thin. Your fucken ridiculous. Then you even get worse by comparing movies that have NOTHING to do with each other!!! Kill bill vs the Matrix?!?!?! MAtrix vs Lord of the rings?!??! gimme a fucken break,
like I said before, Find a diffrent hobby if everything that comes out of your mouth is negative about a movie. You don't have to like the movie, but to completely bash it, then clearly your an ass -
Lessee. . .he hated the first Matrix but liked the second, THAT'S as dumb as a Star Wars fan who liked Phantom Menace but hated AOTC. There! Moral of the story, kids? DON'T FRY AND POST.

Many have criticized Lexx in this arena. It seems they have not seen enough of it. For example, the third season takes place on the planets Fire and Water, with the whole season being a meditation on the nature of good and evil/heaven and hell. Much like I, Claudius, Lexx can only be fully appreciated in its entirety - the depth of the meanings, the evolution of the characters, and the playing out of consequences must unfold over time. The creator/writers of Lexx flawlessly weaved their story elements together into a cohesive whole over 4 2-hour films and four seasons, with a perfect finale. The brilliant actor Nigel Bennett makes a great stand-in for the devil in season 3, and throughout the season we meet characters we've met in previous seasons of the series - although they are reborn as different - or slightly different - incarnations of their former selves. The notion of one having to live their life over and over again and paying the price for doing wrong IS brilliantly explored. The 'layers of reality' to which this alludes is the recurrent theme of the season. It's well-written deep stuff that all links back to what we've seen the Lexx characters do(peoples' actions have consequences) - unlike the faux philosophizing of Matrix.
Lexx has many episodes where they just decided to have fun with the characters, but the writers never betray the foundations of their story - as the W brothers did with Revolutions. You'll see ... -

Give an oscar to the people who are responsible for advertising this movie, Reloaded looked absolutely great in the commercials and trailers but it was horrendous. The ads for Revolutions look friggin out of this world, now we're hearing it sucked. The Warchowski's were lucky muthers with the first one..... they dont have any discipline in storytelling and with these two sequels its like they're mocking the genre that they virtually created.
-
Matrix 2 and 3 really accomplish nothing story-wise, part 1 left a pretty good oppurtunity for a trilogy that would span so much story and really have a lot going on....... sounds like revolutions is just more of the same stuff we saw in 2........ so sad.
-
As other have mentioned...
"radii" would be the plural form of "radius"
No one has yet seemed to make the connection with the numbers that follow the reviewer's nickname...that is, 314.
I note that the value of pi, to the 2nd decimal is 3.14
Pi, of course, being intimitely connected to a circle's radius by"
Circumference of circle = pi*2*radius
A famous infinite series calculation for pi (pi is a transcendental irrational) was discovered by Euler:
pi = (6 * (1 + 1/4 + 1/9 + 1/16 + ... (1/n)^2)^1/2)) -
How can I forget the most beautiful and mystical formula in all of mathematics____________ e^(pi x i) + 1 = 0
-
Woops...shouldn't have used an "x" for multiplication. To avoid confusion, here is that formula again: ___________________ e^(pi * i) + 1 = 0

the Wachowskis took a page right out of GL's book, by making up stuff as they go along then claim it was all planned years ago. the first Matrix had a near-perfect ending for a sci-fi saturday afternoon matinee flick. then it made a lot of money and the W bro's and Silver saw the $ signs and took the wind right out of Matrix I's sails in Reloaded with a hackneyed story married onto the original about as neatly and seemlessly as Helen Keller's sewing.
-
I hardly ever post here, just usualy read what all of you have got to say on these flicks Harry and others review on. And I must say that the reviews and talkbacks on Reloaded and Revolutions are the most negatively biased reviews I have ever Read on this site. For some reason it seems its cool, and trendy for talkbackers on this site and only this site to bash Reloaded and Revoultions to the point where it dosent even make sense! For reasons that hardly warrant your bashing for example "why dose neo have to fight 100 smiths?", "why dose neo still use kung-fu if he's god?", "Zion looks retarded!" , and finaly the greatest reason to bash Reloaded and Revolutions " the W.bros are lame thats totaly not how i would have done the story they should have done it this way!"
all you bashers are ridiculous have you people actualy looked at what you wrote before posting? Answers to those lame questions. 1.Neo fights smith cuase obviously destroying his code would be senesless since he already did that and smith is still in front of him and plus this is an kung-fu, sci-fi movie 2.For crying out loud these movies are Kung-fu movies! 3. thats your perogitive but just because you dont like the design of the zion or the zionites dosent mean that the whole fucking movie sucks! 4. To this question I can only shake my head. Who are we to say thats not how the story should have gone its not our story its the W. bros story were just goin along for the ride so shutup! Its not like their adapting one of the worlds most beloved novels and deviating from it. Their making this story up from their own imaginations! Also people are saying this trilogy will be the greatest failure of any sci-fi trilogy in films history you guys must be on crack! the origina STAR WARS was and is the last generation's and the generation before that sci-fi trilogy watching it now i can tell those movies are far from perfect but do we bash those cherished movies? no because we grew up on those movies we hold them close to us! The matrix trilogy will belong to this generations kids who will grow up with these movies and hold them close to them. And finaly shame on you Harry these reviews that you have been posting shouldnt even be called reviews and the only reason you post them is to get a rise out of these lame ass talkbackers who flamed the hell out of you for posting your errorness and negativly biased review of Reloaded which ahd to be cleaned up by Moriarty! Your supposed to be a professional man! Start acting like one! -
how did morpheus become such a tubby bitch eating gruel?
-
we are not saying you have to LIKE the movie, but make sense about it. I still have read the review above only because I am strongly against someone giving out spoilers in a review. To me thats not a reviewer who respects his audience. Thats not someone who wishes someone to experience the movie for himself. NO, thats an asshole who just wants attention, who just wants to sound off and sound cool.
It gets pretty ridiculous here too , The most recent was comparing Kill bill to the Matrix. It's like comparing Planet of the Apes to a better tomorrow. Only idiots do that, and it seems popular here to bash every little thing that comes along. A new poster, A new Trailer, Everything is about bashing on this site. You begin to feel that these FANS of cinema really don't LIKE cinema. This has been one of the best summers for movies, We have seen things on screen we have never seen before and is a testament to how far movie making has come. From movies that have mindless action to deep story, this year had it all, and every single talkback has been bashing every movie. From bashing harry on his reviews of Down with Love and The hulk to Bashing MAtrix and everything about the matrix.

by gere's assgerbil
Oooohhh. Harry's gonna be so conflicted when he see's Revolutions. On the one hand, he's hates WB and now works for a rival studio, but on the other the true fan-boy in him will want to sing the praises of the brothers W for creating the ultimate sci-fi trilogy. It'll be interesting to see which side wins out in the end. November 5! Less than two weeks away!

So what's your point, that the secret identity of the "Radii314" is circumference divided by 2 or something?
-
I refuse to see the third film after MATRIX RETARDED. I was nutty for the first film -- now I can't even watch it again, because all of the joy of that film has been polluted by the shit that came after it. Just. God. AWFUL. I really hope that everyone who feels the same way about RELOADED stays away from REVOLUTIONS for its entire theatrical run. And doesn't buy or rent it on DVD. Watch it on HBO or TV years from now if you're curious, but do not throw your direct dollars at Warner Bros. Throw your bucks at some deserving indie that could use your support. But avoid this shit-monster. And if you MUST see this because you just can't help but watch train wrecks, go buy a ticket to something like LOST IN TRANSLATION, then sneak into REVOLUTIONS.
-
Ribbons:
No point to my post...just some stupid observations on what "radii314" must stand for.
Cheers, Tritium -
Let's just say for the sake of argument that the first review is a fake. Well, the second review, spoke of a story that personaly I found boring and on the same quality level of "reloaded" which was, lets face it guys, crap. Then I read the scriptment of that NeotheStampede guy, and sorry it was as boring and on the same level of "reloaded" quality as the one before.
So, bottom line is, that for those of us who loved Matrix but hated Reloaded, Revolutions will be a horrible "disaster" as the first reviewer said while for those who thought Reloaded was good/fun/great/whatever Revolutions promises one of the same plus with the element of closure which will make it a rather better movie.
I am saving my money for something else... -
That was kind of what I was getting at. Cheers.
-
Yes, The Matrix trilogy has become a phenomenon but it's still just three movies, guys. What's all this crap about "I liked the first one" and "I hated the second one" and "If this is any indication than Revolutions is going to suck!"? Some of you are even threatening to save your money for something else. It's 8 bucks. What are you going to buy -- a small pizza? Get out of the house or something, maybe talk to a counselor or a friend. Some of you need help.
-
That was kind of obnoxious. You can make math-based observations if you want (even if it seems a little pretentious), it's cool with me. Hell, it's infinitely more tolerable than the people who compare the Matrix trilogy to the Star Wars trilogy or make fun of grammar as if it refutes the arguments of Circumference-divided-by-2 Man.
-
This review of Revolutions made me think that I'll be loving this film. I couldn't have disagreed more with the reviewer's basic assumptions about the trilogy. This is good news, folks - at least for me.
-
That thing is so much bullshit. All of those plot elements that are incorporated could easily be gleaned by watching the trailers. And it's been floating around on the internet for weeks. Yet Harry posted it like he thought it was full of real spoilers. Which begs the question: Is Harry so out of touch on Revolutions that he actually thought those were spoilers? Or was it just the first strike in an orchestrated assault on Matrix Revolutions? Now that Harry openly works for Revolution Studios (AKA Sony Pictures), they've got the perfect forum to blast rival films and promote their own. Just something to keep in mind.
-
Was The Matrix Reloaded entertaining? Yes. Was it original? Yes. Was it groundbreaking? In terms of special effects, yes. Was it boring at times? Yes. Was it pretentious? Yes. Does it make me doubt that the next one will be genius? Yes. Do I hope and pray to God the third one rocks my boat? God yes. Will I be in line to see it? Yes. Are the Matrix movies the best sci-fi films ever made? No. www.rockithardcore.com
-
if the synopsis is the real deal? this synopsis is different from the scriptments that have been floating around online the past few months. there are very marked differences. the "dolan scriptment" says that the Trainman is hiding from Merovingean- and that the Kid becomes the Architect. the STT scriptment is laughable at best. so i reiterate: what will you do if this is the real deal? will you come back and repent for naysaying?
-
My thoughts, based on the hope that I will love Revolutions as much as I did the first film...
If I was the Wachowski's, I would set up a host of (hopefully deserving) rave reviews as we have seen here previously. This gets people like me all excited and hot to trot for their opening morning (New Zealand gets it at 3am so America can watch it at their leisure) tickets. Then, if I had any sense at all I would call in a few planted 'Hate Revolutions' reviews, with the purpose of lowering Our collective expectations. Ergo we walk into a theatre without Matrix t-shirts and lunchboxes, and walk out absolutely stoked at the brilliance we did not expect to see at that ungodly hour of the morning.
Then again, if I was the Wachowski's... I would've had the sense to put a ten minute Matrix Revolutions preview on the Reloaded DVD; with them saying "Hi The World, sorry Reloaded wasn't your bag. We promise the next one will sort it all out. Here's why..." But in the end, they and Warner Bros. too, didn't. -
The MTV music award skit by Seann William Scott, Wanda Sykes, Justin Timberlake, and Will Ferrell is worth the price of the dvd alone. It's hilarious.
-
You gotta love Will Ferrell. Seriously, I think Reloaded is a comedy film. Its hilarious.
-
Gere's Ass Gerbil: You're just a TAD too biased to be giving us lectures about how negative Matrix reviews are bullshit. Just something to think about. ******* Mafu: Good for you, man! But what, pray tell, did this reviewer say exactly that made you think his opinion was so backwards that his grade of the movie must also be backwards? Stuff? Or are you just saying that to assuage your own fears that this movie might suck? Not to mention the fact that your being okay with stilted dialogue and specious logic isn't a sure sign that this movie won't suck, or at the very least, disappoint. Just something to think about.
-
Clips on TLFC at http://matrix.ugo.com/docs/8536.html -- follow the links. This POS is really going to be a disaster. Come Nov 5, I raise a glass to the idea of what this franchise could have been.
-
Raise your glass then bitch, in fact, why don't you TRY to make movies yourself , then maybe you can create the best movie ever made!!!
stay home then, leave the movie to us fans, there's enough of us to make it another summer blockbuster, millions of people can't be wrong right?

OK, here is the real plot, posted by an admin at lastfreecity.co
by fluffyunbound
Okay, Neo is in Matrix "limbo" - somehow his mind got "jacked in" to a train stop outside the Matrix - the wild eyed guy in the Rev. trailer is the train man, controlled by the Merovingian. The Oracle tells Trinity and Morpheous this and they threaten Mervingian (you're willing to die for this man?) and go and save Neo (who in the meantime has met some new characters and had a vision of three lines in the black dessert). -Back in the real world now... Niobe gives Neo and Trinity the Logos ship after the Hammer powers it up so they can go to the machine city (01) and try and save Zion.
Meanwhile Bane (Smith) has awakened, killed the nurse and snuck into the Logos. The Hammer heads back to Zion to try and stop the sentinels with its EMP as a last ditch effort, and soon realizes Bane has killed, escaped and must be on the Logos - but it's too late to turn back and save Trinity and Neo. Aboard the logos, Bane blinds Neo with an electrical conduit during a fight before Neo kills him (just after realizing he's smith inside) Trinity is beat up but okay to fly the ship, with Neo's "second sight" - he can somehow sense the machines life-force and "sees" them now. The Hammer tries to sneak back to Zion but the sentinels hear them and chase them all the way home.
Meanwhile, Zion is getting the **** kicked out of it by all the sentinels. The crippled Hammer crashes into Zion and blows it's EMP knocking out the remaining diggers and sentinels.
Meanwhile the Logos is on the surface, flying over/by the fetus fields and power plant, following three power lines to the city (like in his vision). In Zion, they are trying to restore power while evacuating to the deep tunnels and temple cave from Reloaded. More sentinels arrive in the defenseless Zion and jump-start a digger to continue into the bowels of Zion and finish of the rest of its people.
Neo and Trinity have now crash-landed into the machine city after fending off bigger, meaner sentinels and an armada of huge ships shooting shrimp bombs like from Reloaded. Trinity dies from the crash and Neo goes on to confront a huge godlike machine that he makes a deal with to confront smith and save the matrix (and the Ai's?) from being taken over (smith has altered the matrix and cloned himself into everyone).
Back in Zion the sentinels stop their attack at the last minute and wait. The AI's jack Neo in and he fights Smith, Smith wins (Neo pretends to lose or fights long enough to prove he tried) and takes him over, but the new clone freaks out, (the machine city AI has a direct link to smith now) explodes and all the Smiths explode or something... Neo dies as a result and is hauled off by the AI's to who knows where. Everyone rejoices and the Matrix gets reloaded with a truce between man and machine.
"What about Morpheus, the council and previous ones?" - Morpheus navigates the hammer for Niobe (the best driver- I think ghost must be manning the guns) and faces off with the sentinels at the opening to the Zion temple (story boards of this was spoiled a couple years ago), he may take part in a fight to save neo, but that's about it - (he lives). I don't remember the council being mentioned or anything about previous ones
"What about the kid" - he plays an important role during the battle by manning a fallen Mech and shooting a chain on the Zion dock door at the last second, allowing it to open so the hammer can enter Zion and use its EMP. - he lives
-no Cypher, no matrix within a matrix, no phone booth scene from matrix one.
-Seraph (puts up a good fight), oracle, important child (mentioned in game)...all taken over by smith
I left out a lot of details obviously (fights, take-overs, etc.) but that's the main gist of it.
Hope you don't regret reading this.
//// This is me talking now: this seems pretty tame. There is no great final twist. There isn't even a lame final twist, like a Matrix within a matrix. It's just "Handful of action scenes, then the hero dies in an act of self sacrifice. The end." This is a huge letdown, even to me, who did not like Reloaded. -
If FluffyUnbound's post is correct, then let's ALL raise a glass Nov 5. "To what could have been!!" Then, it's "Bob's your uncle", and we'll have another.
-
the synopsis he posted is the same exact thing as the "380 synopsis" that's floating around on thelastfreecity.com. it covered a few different details, but it's the same exact plot. so are you guys going to believe that this is the truth now? or are the naysayers still here?

I hope revolutions does bad, but deep down I know they'lll still make money cuz there are enough brain dead morons who will pay to see it simply because "the trailer looked cool, all is forgiven". ugh. And it looked like Neo was wearing a skirt throughout most of the movie.
-
I'm not sure what your point is. If anything, the most profound trend that "Reloaded" and "Revolutions" will probably have on the moviemaking process is the inevitable overgrowth of back-to-back sequels that really should have been one movie.
-
Plus, if this movie opens to bad reviews and it still makes a shitload of money, they're not going to continue to make thought-provoking blockbusters, they're going to continue making blockbusters that look cool. I can tell you right now that Emerson and Kant fans certainly aren't the ones providing Warner Bros. with $275 million dollars per picture.
-
The film will be a failure but will still make alot of cash because most fanboys are mindless sheep.
The W. Bros never planned it as a trilogy. they only quickly made up the 2 and 3rd film after the cash rolled in from pt1 and the studio (Silver) demanded sequels.I rule.
And I have seen the film. They leave too many things unanswered.
I could've done a better story then they did.
You can all suck it. -
Learn the basics of history. And I don't mean "the less-than-400 years of Yank 'history'" - I mean *HISTORY*. History of Mankind and the human civilisation. Try reading about the Merovingian dynasty instead of watching XMen and sub-idiotic "fetishistic outfits in kung-fu fights against the machines" flicks for 9 year olds. That is if you even CAN read and know what a book is, you 99-IQ warts.

SO the second review is not true, correct? The movie doesn't end that way, does it? I'm confused, as that one guy NeoTheStampede or something wrote something completely different. Are either of them the real thing? I never post here, but I gotta know about this.

The first Matrix was undoubtedly the best, and always will be.
I think the brothers (I am not even going to try and spell their last name) were surprised at the success that it brought them. They were stuck in the unwanted position of trying to outdo themselves, not once, but twice.
Fans of the first one all were more than likely clamoring for a sequel, scouring the web for any information about it they possibly could. Like I have been doing for the Ghost Rider flick I have heard about.
Did they top themselves with the second one, no I thought it was a disaster. Will they redeem themselves with a third? I seriously doubtit.
Will I still go and see Revolutions? Yes. And I don't believe I will be disappointed, it isn't costing me a thing. -
Why do they even call the movies "matrix" anymore? The second one at least had a majority of it in the matrix (though it was still a steaming pile of horse crap, Why the fuck did they use CGI for the fight scene with the Smiths, it looked like a scene straight out of Toy Story - the directors cut)but now its all in Zion? I dont care about "Mech Fights" or "the architect" or "Zion", what i want is more stuff about Neo and MORPHEUS kicking machines ass INSIDE of the matirx with actual people in it, not computer generated people. Reloaded wasnt the monstrasity (sp?) that was The Phantom Menace, but it looks like Revolutions could sure as hell be.
