Harry here... simply... must see movie now!

DUTCH ZOMBIE FLICK: WORST CASE SCENARIO

hi Harry,

I send this to you before but you haven't posted it on your site it sounded a little strange but I've got more info now so maybe you'll find it more reliable this time; debuting Dutch director Richard Raaphorst (he made the title sequence of Beyond Reanimator) is making a hardcore zombie-flick called 'WORST CASE SCENARIO' based on the book 'Woensdag Gehaktdag (Wednesday Meatday; The Only good german is a living german). The plot is simple; The Dutch and The Germans heve been on bad foot since WW2 (in real life) in the movie it's escalating and people want it to be fought out and the best way to do so (obviously) is to revive dead GERMAN NAZI ZOMBIES and DUTCH WHITE TRAILERTRASH ZOMBIES and let them have the ultimate faceoff. I know it sounds ridiculous but it is true and it's coming in december 2004. Hardcore horror mixed with dark humor is how Dutch newspaper 'De Telegraaf' described it. I you use this call me;

THE Z-MAN

Looks interesting...should ruffle some feathers with some more sensitive people, but I'm looking forward to it. Just picked up the 28 Days Later DVD...there's nothing like paper blowing in the wind to spell apocalypse!

    by hiperaktiv

The concept is hilarious, im sure with a right amount of black humour mixed in this could be quite the cult movie. Good luck to the production, i hope all turns out good for them.

Did you mean to say "Eurotrash", Harry? When I think "Bunch of Dutch Guys" I don't think "Trailer". I mean, do they even HAVE pick up trucks in Holland? Or chew? They don't even have quarter pounders.

That's one hell of a premise they've got there, I say it's a win /win situation. Nice poll by the way.

    by pleb

Pick-up trucks? No. Trailer trash? O yeah. They'd make great zombies too... The cops won't even go into Dutch trailer parks to clean out the huge marihuana plantations without army-sized anti-riot units. Scared shitless.

Uma Thurman goes Human Blender on a bunch of samuri, Meg Ryan goes full frontal, Doc Ock will beat the shit out of Spidey, Bruce Campbell to fight Freddy and Jason after those two have fought on the big screen and the Bruce has just played an eldery Elvis fighting a cowboy mummy, and now nazi zombies v. trailer trash zombies...What a great time to be alive and geek watching movies in the dark.

    Imitating 28 days later?

    by black jesus

what are you talking about? yeah because 28 days later was the first zombie movie ever made? just because there's a new zombie movie coming that means it's imitating 28 days later? that's stupid.

anyway... this movie has the word "potential" written all over it. let's hope it turns out to be as good as it sounds promising.

Windowlicker74 don't talk rubish, the dutch don't hate everyone around them. The Dutch are very open to everyone and have no trouble with other countries. Only with germany, but that's not only because of the war also because of the soccer :D But I don't think this is gonna be a good movie, almost every Dutch movie is very bad. The idea is funny, but with almost no money for this movie it's gonna look very bad. But hope for once they prove me wrong :)

Freaky-Deaky Dutch -- The Original Article Is All Wrong

    by mustang_dvs

    From the official website: /|\ http://www.gorehoundinc.com/ /|\

"So here's a warm welcome to 1,500% new readers. And what's better, new media-giant Harry Knowles has given us the best sales-blurb we could wish for: "Greatest film ever?" It's on the poster, Harry. But don't believe everything you read: there are no "Dutch white trailertrash zombies" in Worst Case Scenario and the movie has nothing to do with the book 'Woensdag Gehaktdag' by Richard Klinkhamer. Klinkhamer's story warrants its own movie though. He beat his wife to death with a crowbar in 1991 and reported her missing. Alluding to his crime in his (unpublished) book, he still got away with it until some ten years later when he sold his house and the body was discovered by the new owners.
WCS also has nothing to do with (the success of) '28 Days Later'. We're into zombies - plain and simple - and the Nazis just happened to have the coolest uniforms. That, and we like to kick their butt. "

    Cool fact!

    by serso

Did anyone know that 2 of the make-up artists from Lord of the Rings are working on this movie as well? They did the make-up for the main zombies. I know it...I was there when they shot the promo-reel for the film. Actually I was one of the zombie-extras and I do believe that this movie can become something big! Remember what everyone thought about Freddy vs Jason. Everyone thought that one was going to suck too. But it was no.1 at the boxoffice for at least 2 weeks!
