    Disappointing

    by cgameprogrammer

The story of the movie can be written in one or two short sentences without leaving out anything. (I'll refrain from doing so for spoiler reasons.) Quite simply, nothing really happens. I expected something epic but nothing happened. It was ridiculous. However a Terminator 4 is very possible.

The girl terminator sucked. For example, she's able to remotely control "machines". Yet this is only done to control some empty cars; it's not used on the car John is travelling in, or Arnold, or the helicopters, or the guns, NOTHING! Stupid, stupid. In T2 the liquid-metal guy really took advantage of his abilities, for the most part.

For another, she has built-in weapons from the future, yet she acquires a handgun. Why?

In addition, Arnold says she's better than him in every way, yet she acts extremely stupidly and is easily beaten at several turns.

As for Arnold, naturally he plays a new Terminator in this movie, which means he lacks the human touch he acquired in the second movie. This is realistic, of course, but disappointing. He's pure machine in this movie, no emotion, and it's a big letdown after the excellent T2.

Basically, this movie is subtitled "Rise of the Machines". However there are no armies of Terminators. The only shot of them , which is two seconds long, is yet another glimpse of the future like we saw in the other movies (but even shorter and with less stuff happening).

I don't regret seeing the movie, but damn was it disappointing. I'm sure they'll make a T4 eventually, and maybe it'll be good, but this one was stupid.
