A Sneak Peek at the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN Trailer coming soon!

Published at:  Apr 04, 2003 4:59:40 AM CST

Hey folks, Harry here... Ran across the following tonight. Let's just say that after a half bottle of J.P. Morgan, unfortunately not the sponsor for PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN, I was feeling little to no pain and simply connected to my spirit guides in the seven seas, which pointed me in the direction of this tiny spot, which carries a sampling of some of the goodness we'll be getting this Sunday! I love the undead monkey... and Geoffrey... sigh, looks mighty fine, though for some reason I keep wishing this was Vincent Price! Hheehehehe... Here ya go...

Avast me maties, here be a trove of treasure for the unpatched eyes of ye!

The ghost/skeleton pirate at the end looks like the famous Le Chuck from monkey island... well it needs some more beard though.

  • I definetley will think long and hard about seeing this opening day. Thinking done. I will! Although that girl at the end looks a bit too much like Winona Ryder...

    ARRGH! I'm liking this!

    by screenplaywriter

Finally, we're getting back in the groove of making classic swashbucklers. I've been waiting so long ever since "CUTTHROAT ISLAND" for a pirate movie to come along and blow me out of the water, now comes this!

Damn, that girl in there is hot and Geoffrey Rush turning into a skeleton is soo uberly cool/creepy and let's not forget Johnny Depp looking like how a pirate should look like, Orlando Bloom is very unrecognizable without his blonde hair and shaven face, but oh well...I'm sure he, Depp, and Rush will give us a film full of swordfights, ship battles, humor, and the half-dead vs. the living in a final battle (which the trailer shows).

Yes, most pirates were gay. It was just circumstances I suppose, like being in prison. What do you suppose cabin boys were for anyway?

    I've said it before ...

    by thing-fish

... Johnnie Depp and Geoffrey Rush are PERFECT casting for a pirate movie. Absolutely spot-on. And like Harry, I love the ghost story angle. Something we haven't seen before. ______ Oh, and obviously THING_FISH is the sexiest tomboy beanpole on the planet. Whatever that is.

    Damn the Cannonballs...Full Speed Ahead!

    by shub-wankalot

Captain Blood would've been proud...this creme de le creme movie pays homage to the cinematic pirates of yore, with a devilish twist of a ghost yarn. What I've witnessed thus far makes pirating a respectable trade for cutthroats-in-training with aspirations for high-sea derring do's. Ahoy! The magic is back!

    by bibfortuna

Bah... why'd they have to use CGI for the face movements. Watch and rewatch that last bit with the moonlight skele-face. His last line looked like Jar Jar's cousin... so fake... oh woah is me... will they ever "discover" animatronix again?

    JP Morgan

    by ed_wood_jr

Uh...did you mean *Captain* Morgan, Harry? J. P. Morgan is an investment firm, which would of course bode very well for the picture if they were a sponsor. (Not, of course, to be confused with "Gong Show" judge Jaye P. Morgan.)

Johnny Depp, Queerest Pirate to Ever Sail the Seven Seas

    by bari umenema

Yep he's a gay pirate. Not that there's anything wrong with that of course. Just one of those queer pirate things. Gay pirates are happy and jolly. Straight pirates are miserable and often seasick because they don't get enough hot pirate sex stuck on the ship for months at a time out at sea. So if you're going to be a pirate your best bet is to be a homosexual pirate. Arrgghh matey, these pipes are clean!
