FURY ROAD - the Max Max film - Having Troubles' NOT! Postponed Indefinitely' NOPE!
HARRY HERE! Not 20 minutes after I posted the story below, it seems that FURY ROAD is back on track, pushing shooting a bit, from summer to late fall. Whew. WE can all breathe easier now. Whew. Here's the link to the reprieve: Click Here To Read MAD MAX - FURY ROAD - BACK ON TRACK!!!
The following is now dated! The above is the most current information!
Harry here... So I was reading my Namibian newspaper like usual, when I came across an article about FURY ROAD, the 4th Mad Max film, that upset me a bit.
Now, when this whole Iraqi conflict, when it was just affecting our economy, gas prices, the general chaos of the world and what not... I was fairly mute on the subject, but now... Now Saddam and Dubya... Now they're fucking with Max...
Here we finally have George "GOD" Miller after 3 years of crafting a script that I've heard hangs gnards on sticks and beats them upon our foreheads type of cool... He gets Mel to commit, something of a miracle in and of itself. He gets a $100 million dollar plus budget... sets off to shoot in parts unknown to man, so he can do crazy shit that ain't nobody has ever seen... It is all going good and then... BAM, fucking world conspires to fuck it all up.
Admittedly, I'm a huge geek. Elephantine even. And my priorities are often skewed far from the regular real world. I mean, I love movies at a deep down way. And when these conflicts begin affecting my fantasy worlds, I get pissed. FURY ROAD being postponed indefinitely isn't what I want to hear. Reading interviews for years about how George Miller has concieved this film to rip the audiences skull cap off and put a steady drip of endorphines along the lobes for the duration... and now... zilch, nada, argh. Maybe, hopefully, they'll just be changing locations back to Australia or something... For the whole story:

They're going to stop production on a Mad Max film because of war with Iraq? Lame-O, mate. Unless, of course, they were planning on filming in Iraq to begin with.
-
I WANT MY MAD MAX MOVIE!!! DAMN YOU WORLD EVENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
crap = this
-
Look down the page on the link you sent us to Harry: a sweet little headline saying "MAD MAX BACK ON TRACK"...
-
I think you need to update this like now.
-
its that dumbass war criminal in spe george bush

Mad Max back on track. Now, all is right with the world, once again. BTW, Harry, it's plain to see you love the abuse--I guess even the weight jokes. Why else would you call yourself "Elephantine even" when describing your geekness? Now, the lines between fantasy and reality in your life can be blurred further as Mel and company set off in September to film Fury Road.
-
Now I'm not one to get on Harys back about stuff, but this does look like something changed AFTER you posted the story, as opposed to whoever NOT DOING THEIR FUCKING RESEARCH in the first place

I liked his movies, until I got dragged to see Babe: Pig in the City in a dollar theater two months after it bombed in first-run showing because of competition from A Bug's Life. NOW that's a flawed masterpiece - Babe 2 right up there with The Thin Red Line as the best movies of 1998. If only in the perfect world Babe 2 and TTRL were perfect cut as the directors intended - the current cuts are officially Hollywood fucked-with versions as the result of bickering inside editing rooms and poor test audience response (the latter for Babe 2). Hope Goerge Miller blow the audiences' mind with the sheer glory of Mad Max 4 like he did with The Road Warrior and Babe 2.

It says shooting will start in late fall, but September is EARLY fall. Unless Namibia is in the Southern Hemisphere, in which case wouldn't it be early spring? Now I'M confused. sk

Yeah Yeah Yeah....,what next.......we'll all get letters asking us to invest in some lame brain Namibian Business...."I can't get my money out of the country, could you send me your bank details, and I will give you a % return for your help".........if you want the real updates on MM4 go to madmaxmovies.com........before I forget I have nothing against Namibians, just in case some flame war erupts over my comment on the standard of Namibian commercial/business enterprise......perish the thought

Can't wait for it. I love the way they are going to the edge of the world to do it- Nambia's just too far for the studio execs to travel. Same way no one bugged the Matrix or the Abyss whilst they were being make. I saw a music clip that was cut with Mad Max footage- Looked wicked- Anyone know who or what it was?
-
Getting beaten on the forehead by a stick with gnards hanging from it? What the fuck is wrong with you man? It's time to consider professional help.
-
Glad the movie is back on, but come on now. I love movies too, but would not resort to hyperventilating when a project is postponed due to a REAL LIVE WAR! Soldiers and civilians dying should never play second banana to an action picture, even if it is directed by George Miller.

"NOT!"????? That is soooooooooooo fuckin' GAY. Oh wait..you're in Texas right? Maybe you didn't get the news that people stopped saying that shit like 10 years ago or you're just a geek.
-
.........I just got 2 fecking emails from Knowles....one said "Garden of Eden" and the other said "BatmanandRobinwereLovers"......and both couldn't be opened... what the fuck is happening, is this some sort of fucking game here you fat bastard, somebody must know what these mean.......AAARRRGGGH!
-
I don't think I would've been able to go to sleep tonight on the information that the production of Mad Max 4 was having problems.
-
the emails you've been getting are viruses. i got similar ones from moriarty. don't open them. it's an ongoing problem at AICN apparently.
