"Batman Tomorrow" is a new animated series coming to Kids WB. It is a futuristic re-invention of the Batman mythos. I’ve had a lot of people writing in asking me about the series. If this news has appeared elsewhere, I am not aware of it. But I’m tired and imperfect...

BATMAN sent in this information. Interestingly, no one’s ever requested that code name before. Must say, while I initially had some reservations about how this series concept might pan out, what BATMAN says does sound rather intriguing.

Here’s what BATMAN says:

1) Bruce Wayne is about 90 years old in "Batman Tomorrow", and the only remaining character left alive (all supporting cast are dead). He lives like a hermit in the Batcave.

2) NO Joker Jr, Riddler Jr, Two-Face Jr, etc. The only possible rogue who *may*

reappear is Ras Al Ghul (Lazarus Pit)

3) The kid (Batman in training) is an unknown, but is based on Peter Parker (Spiderman) somewhat. He still has family that he lives with. He hides his identity from them.

4) The costume design is not finalized.

5) This show is at the request of Kenner, who want to sell more toys.

But Bruce (Timm) will not let them design things to be on the show. He will

gladly make stuff for them.

6) Mike Mignola is designing the new Gotham City. It will be Victorian looking

with a "Blade Runner" feel (built on top of old Gotham, wealthy live up top

bottom is trashy. If you don't know, Mike Mignola did the "Dracula" adaptation, and is a artist who draws the Victorian era. An awesome artist, this should kick!
