I couldnt even get thru the showing. Shitty assed CGI and image manipulation ade it look like a wana be Spiderman in bondage style leather. I walked out and called a cab before the finish.. it was AWFULL. People must be so godamn desperate for a "hit" movie they have dropped their standards to jack shit. Thank you hollywood. Kiss my ass.

Harry liked Godzilla too
And both new Star Wars
I have no plans to see this movie. I've seen enough trailers to know:
1. It looks boring
2. Affleck is horribly clumsy, miscast, inept
3. The jumping from building to building, people doing flips, and other effects look horribly executed
4. The villains look so terribly stereotypical I couldn't get into the movie
5. Affleck is a fucking meat head and needs to fall into a well never to be seen again
6. It guest appearances Kevin Smith who has sold his sould to Puffy clothing and LA living. I loathe that man now.
I wonder what star treatment Harry was given THIS time. -
Not bad, not offensively horrible, just lame. Affleck was as good as Affleck could be in the role, but he didn't convince me he was the best man for the job. I love Jennifer Garner in Alias, but she was too All-American girl to play Elektra, and her storyline was handled in the most two-dimensional manner possible. That's the main problem with the whole movie. Too many things are just presented without any shading or subtlety. Why was Kingpin so bad? What did he do as a criminal mastermind (other than kill Bennifer's parents)? Unless I read the comics I wouldn't know. It's just weak, pedestrian, going through the motions storytelling. Maybe it's a problem of the source material, because the whole Elektra Assassin thing probably works better as a long range storyline, which comics can do great, but not the sweetened condensed version we get here. I don't know, maybe it just wasn't the best idea to do Daredevil as a movie. It's strengths as a concept reside on the page and not the stage. I think that's because he operates in the grey areas as a character, and that's something you can do great in an ongoing, serialesque examination like in a comic book, but not in a one hour and forty minute hollywood action picture. In that format subtelty goes right out the window.

OK...there's me thinking...the press are lying wankers who want a comic book movie to fail. They don't care...they are just nasty men and women with sore arses. Well....i apologise to them.
HARRY??!! Why did you and the rest of the normally sane and level headed people on this website bend over and take it so easily. This movie was a complete dissapointment. Everyone involved must have been making a completely different flick 'cos the one I saw last night was a cheap Crow/Batman rip off. The director has been spewing so much shit recently, i started believing it. Like the "homage" to the Crow with the flaming DD. A homage should come accross as such...a tribute....well wishing etc. It looked like you couldn't think of anything decent to put in there and STOLE from others. All the BS about it being a REAL location...c'mon! I didn't recognise anything in the whole movie. Gotham was more real!
As for the "tough scenes" with DD coming home and popping some pills...really beaten up. Eh? If that's brutal, then I had better stop watching the Tweenies for my own emotional well being. And was that an actress phoning Matt up in his apartment, 'cos i could have sworn it was a sensless bint reading off a cue card.
Elektra was never a fave character of mine...and even less so now. You call that a fight? Condensed plot, hold-my-hand storytelling made in a heavy handed and cheap manner....who is this freaking director? HOW?!! ANYONE could have done better...even George Lucas!
Well at least this year can only get better...X2 HOORAY! The trailer rocked and i cannot wait for it...Hulk...well it's on thin ice but at least it looks like a tonne more fun than Dare-BoohooIhavetonarrate everythingjustincasethestudioand USpublicdon'tgedditasinBladeRunner-Devil. I mean...what was up with that...treat an audience like they don't have an ounce of sense and we'll see how your box office takings come a second time around. My idea is that there won't be a sequel. Fox would better serve the comic community by charging into Wolverine or a solo X adventure. DD....NO MORE! Kevin Smith couldn't do shit with this franchise....it's dead in the water.
