EXTRAS NEEDED FOR "A MODEL CRIME"

Published at:  Dec 12, 1997 12:00:00 AM CST

BRAER RABBIT messaged me again. This time to tell me HBO is looking for extras to
appear in its thriller called “The Model Crime”.

If you live in Las Vegas and wanna be an extra in an HBO production (ahem - and report
in to me about how shooting went, perhaps?), I have attached the message BRAER
RABBIT sent me, which pretty much tells you how to go about getting started being an
extra (and a Coaxial Spy?).

If you’re thinking about this, read on!

From the Las Vegas Review-Journal (Las Vegas, NV) on December 08, 1997

"Shooting Stars: Company to seek extras" by Carol Cling.

Extra, extra ... This week offers yet another opportunity for eager extras to
get into the act. The act of background acting, that is.

An HBO thriller set at a modeling agency, aptly titled "The Model Crime," is
scheduled to begin production here January 5th.

This week, however, Las Vegas-based M & A Management will cast extras for the
production, according to owner Martine Abbey. Prospective extras may register
any time throughout the week with M & A (the initials stand for "Models and
Actors"), Abbey said.

The agency is located at 4500 Delancey Drive, Suite 2. (That's near Tropicana
Avenue and Arville Street.)

With this HBO production in the works and "a lot of upcoming movies, we're
looking for new local talent," Abbey said. When you're casting a movie, "You
can't have files big enough."

In addition to the extras roles available in "The Model Crime," Abbey also
cast more than two dozen local performers in speaking and nonspeaking roles
ranging from a "sophisticated billionaire" to a "valet parking guy."

And, except for "a couple of leads coming from L.A.," the other roles have
been filled with Vegas-based performers, she said.
