KILL BILL Teaser will be exclusively on GANGS OF NEW YORK this weekend!

Published at:  Dec 19, 2002 1:33:55 AM CST

Hey folks, Harry here... got this press release today and figured I'd pass the good news on to all of you. You can check out the KILL BILL teaser on GANGS OF NEW YORK, which is quite a good film in it's own right, this Friday. I've also received confirmation that the teaser as described on AICN a couple of weeks ago, is exactly the teaser you'll be seeing in theaters... which means it'll kick your ass sideways to the wall and beyond. So force yourself to support that latest Scorsese flick... I know, it's tough, but ya know... the horrors we all have to endure to watch something new from Tarantino is rewarded. Hehehe...

nowadays it is not far from the truth. People don't show up for Scorese movies even though he is our greatest living director. Some people will need the incentive to see "Gangs of New York" and a new Tarrentino trailers should do the trick for some. Support our greats. I'll be in line for "Gangs" on Friday, will you?

I have been waiting to see this trailer since...well the movie first started filming. It seems that everyone forget's all the kitsch that Peter Jackson made before LOTR, but that its wrong for QT to want to do something similar. Whatever, I cant wait until 10-10-03.

    Totally underwhelmed

    by adus

I hate to be a wet blanket but everytime I read a piece where Harry is so damn insistent on overhyping "Kill Bill" something snaps inside of me. This movie is NOT going to be the watershed film many people feel "Pulp Fiction" is, and I feel I'm qualified to say this because I've read Harry's onset reports, I've read the script online and I've seen the teaser. And my response is to shrug and go ..."eh."
Which I think is how many people will respond. Now I'm sure that Harry and people who are fans of that genre of film will love it. And that's great, hell, I'll probably see it myself. But I'm getting tired or being hailed as some kind of cinematic second coming.

    kill bill = dead tarantino

    by vergence

saw the trailer --- it's the lame cancelled tv show QT thought was so cool it had to be in Pulp Fiction.

And what is this yelling "action" right before the trailer starts. Is he such a brand now that every movie he does from now on is going to be nothing but a ego-stroke for the BigHead?

QT Productions, baby --- "we so cool cause we like cool old stuff that we want you to like too except all the real cool stuff we keep to ourselves and then put in movies that you go and pay 10 bucks for and the "cool" stuff we share with you morons is really the shit we think is lame, because you could never rip it off and put it in a movie." ------------------------> "NO WAIT, i'm so cool I can rip off my own stuff and make a movie about it and those idiots will still like it!!! Mira! Mira! I finally got another idea for a movie --- i'm not the loser-hack everyone said i was!...Mira? Mira?"

There's no audience for this at all. QT is going down hard unless all fanboys buy a DVD...then maybe Miramax gets it's money back...so buy ,fanboy, buy and keep hacks in place who make shtty films about nothing while Oliver Stone gets passed over for Alexander the Great.

It will do worse than Gangs of New York. OK --- a irish warrior chick with vampire teeth and wolverine claws who bites off ears...in a MS picture. Jesus, people...

This trailer was pure camp popcorn, and I relished in every Tarantino moment of it...until the end. What was up with that horribly cliched line? Did I miss the joke? Or did the big head actually write a VERY unclever line? And on the subject of diminished returns on expectations, don't get overexcited on the latest bloody saga from Scorsese. Big, beautiful, sometimes poetic? Yes. Soulful, powerful, substantial? Not really. I DID think DiCaprio did an outstanding job, on par with This Boys Life or Gilber Grape. Day Lewis has done it again as well, and Scorsese seems to be in top form. The problem is with the surprisingly lightweight script, which can't really penetrate the root of Amsterdam's character. Howard Shore really disappointed on this film as well, phoning in a recycled Shore score. And this is coming from a Big Howard Shore fan. I don't think A 3+ hour director's cut will necessarily transform this film into genius, but I'm sure it would improve it. Out.

    by heywood jablomie

.....the reaction was a big "Wa-waaaaaaaa..." I liked the script. The movie just looks dumb. And there's a big buildup to a climactic Shane Black-style smartass line that's....not...funny. At all. QT seems to have gone off the deep end.

    Saw it...25th HOUR

    by fromano28

Saw the KILL BILL trailer before Gangs of NY at THE GROVE in hollywood, if u haven't been, THE GROVE is the BEST theater in LA and probably the COUNTRY, it's like going to the THEATER as in seeing a PLAY, unreal...The trailer was all flash, Uma is in her GAME OF DEATH outfit, looks bloody, i'm sure it will be above average, but it's a genere piece, my wife turned to me and said "that looks awful" as tarintino once said "it's an aquired taste" i guess... BEST FILM OF THE YEAR??? 25th HOUR, hands down, this is not a SPIKE LEE film, well except for the TRACKING SHOT he uses in every film, but the script is hands down teh best screenplay of the year, acting is amazing, just a great film, o ADAPTATION - SUCKED...screw the hype...I hate Spike Jones films...
