Season seven of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” just keeps getting better and better. Michael Penn’s girl and the Sisters Deal are coming to Sunnydale!! It’s too cool not to be true!! Even so, if somebody knows where this item came from, lemme know so we can link or credit or thank or something:
Aimee Mann will visit the hottest stop on the fall concert circuit, the
Bronze, in beautiful Sunnydale, California, as the latest artist set to
appear on UPN's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," following Blink-182, Cibo
Matto
and most recently, the Breeders. Mann performs "Pavlov's Bells" in her
episode, entitled "Sleeper," which was filmed Monday and will air
November
19.
and for next week's "Him":
In their 12-year career, the Breeders have toured the world and played
some
of the seediest clubs in the process. But perhaps none is as scary as
the
joint they'll rock when they stop in a small, suburban town called
Sunnydale.
Deal sisters Kim and Kelley will make an appearance in an upcoming
episode
of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," according to a UPN spokesperson. The
episode,
titled "Him," is scheduled to air during November sweeps.
The Breeders, who in May released their first album in nine years,
Title TK,
will be shown headlining the Bronze, the nightclub where Buffy, Xander
and
the rest of the Scoobies like to unwind after a night of staking
vampires
and banishing demons. The band doesn't influence the episode's plot,
however. They filmed their part September 20.
The Dayton, Ohio, quintet's cameo ranks them among Cibo Matto,
Blink-182 and
Lotion as bands that have made visits to the Sunnydale hotspot.

...it was odd, seeing a mess of new articles but ZERO posts on them, even an hour or two later. But, then, this morning, AICN's date said "Tuesday, October 15" and was MISSING several recent articles, so...must be that spoilerific System Maintenance, eh? Back to Buffy: yeah, this news is pretty pointless, but it could be worse. We could get previews of whose singles will be featured on next week's Smallville and Dawson's Creek!

See, I'd already posted 3 times that Cibo Matto's theretofore unreleased track "Spoon" preceded "Sugar Water" on the Buffy ep "When She Was Bad." I also said that I sucked Admiral Donkey Balls for not noticing that my first two posts had not disappeared, but had been moved to the top. I then went on to mention the dead teddy-bear t-shirt I got from when Cibo Matto open for the Breeders and Nirvana at the old AstroHall, and that they rocked almost as much as They Might Be Giants. I also lied about AstroWorld being set for demolition. So if the system crashes again, it's because I once again posted all this information. And um... Sorry.

When did Cibo Matto appear on Buffy? These two entities are on entirely different levels of reality for me, so it seems quite bizarre to hear of their convergence. "Obi Wan told me that technically, I am free and I can find the Key."

In what frickin galaxy does this actually constitute real news!? Good job Harry and Co for doing a story originally being reported in the Waco Tattler and Piedmont Chronicle. Who gives a damn about these two bit bands. You want funny then they should invite Dr. Dre and let him do NWAs 'Gimme that nut' or 'I aint the one' when Buffy is beating Spike down yet again. -

First of all bitch, the Breeders have more talent than any other fucking top-of-the-chart pop, flavors of the week that are here today and gone tomorrow.They are not a "Two-bit band" as you like to refer to them as. Nothing that spawned from the Pixies could be two-bit. The Breeders cameo is one I am looking forward to very much, and I know that plenty of people agree with me.
P.S. You need to catch up on your Hip-Hop History, "Gimme that nut" is an Eazy-E song. It was not a group effort. In fact Eazy recorded it after all his friends in NWA realized what a punk-ass bitch he was. (R.I.P. Eazy-E) -
The real news is that Aimee Mann will be performing in a pair of, well, you know. **** In all seriousness, this is pretty cool news.

FUCK THE BREEDERS!!! The only way they should let those two dumb, junky cunts guest star is if they let Frank Black play some sort of fucked up Demon that cuts both their fucking heads off and uses their skulls as beer mugs before breaking into a killer rendition of "The Man Who Was Too Loud". Yeah, I forgot to take my meds, what of it?

I was just sort of doing a half assed parody of the typical hateful angry frustrated posts we see. I guess I should have just said "FUCK THE BREEDERS, FUCK THEM UP THEIR STUPID ASSES." Anyways, listen to whatever the hell you want. I just think Frank Black is a way better musician and got the short end of the pixie stick because he's not as photogenic as his former band mates. Of course, I kind of like the fact that very few people have heard his solo stuff because it allows me the novelty of being one of the those pretentious indie rock snobs or at least posing like one. See, was that self mocking enough for you.

Will people stop quoting that fucking movie, it wasn't funny the first time i saw it posted in a talkbalk and it's not funny now. As for Frank Black, I don't remember saying i wasn't a fan of his! I have his three solo albums and all of his albums with the Catholics, so stop trying to act all special. I'll bet any person that listened to the Pixies(which by the way was a Monarchy led by then Black Francis) or listens to the Breeders, also listens to Frank Black. I would be just as excited, if not more to see Frank Black and the Catholics play the Bronze. Also, if your saying that the Breeders are more commercial than Frank, the last and only long-running video or single they had in the states was for cannonball. That was almost a decade ago, before Frank even had a solo album out! The world lost one of the most talented and original rock bands when the Pixies broke up. It is actually the only band I would be excited to see live again if they ever had a reunion. Untill then I am happy with my Frank Black and my Breeders!
