Hey, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab.

The more they do this, the better they’re going to get at it. This second time out, it looks like Chris Columbus and his entire creative team have stepped up to try and make this film bigger, better, and more. The infamous review from Walkabouter a month or so ago seems to indicate that they’re on the right track, and this footage fully supports his claims.

CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICHEVER TYPE OF MEDIA FILE YOU WANT!! BUT DO IT QUICK!! THIS THING’S GREAT!!

Fans of the books have got to be pleased again as we get our first looks at so many familiar corners and denizens of the Harry Potter universe. New characters, new challenges, and a very real sense of danger all make this new trailer seem exciting.

Hope the film delivers in full. Can’t wait to find out.

"Moriarty" out.

Just weighing in on formats; Quicktime is, by far, the best standard; WMA and Real just suck in terms of quality because they're so heavily compressed.
On the other hand, streaming Quicktime can be pretty aggravating if you're not running a Mac. This is why, generally, I wait for downloadable trailers to be posted.

    by zakchase

Some thoughts from a huge fan of the books. I certainly didn't think the "Sorcerer's Stone" film was a bonafide success, but it did get enought right (the opening scenes, Harry in front of the Mirror Erised, the Great Hall scenes) for me to hope that Columbus could hit it outta the park this time around. Now, "Chamber" is my least favorite of the four books, but the heavy mystery element should translate well to the big screen. And Jason Isaacs and Kenneth Branagh are going to rule the known world as Lucius and Gilderoy. Flawless, flawless casting there.

Although, in order to perfect your Star Wars comparison rant you should alter the part about Harry getting a lightsaber just like his dark wizard Dad - his Dad wasn't a dark wizard. That has to be the most nit-picking thing I've ever said. Christ, I'm 25 and talking about this - not a good sign.

You know, I have to admit that this is the first kids movie in a loooooong time that I'm actually looking forward to. Back when I was little, it was Goonies. Goonies was the shit. I look back on it now, and yes, that movie is still fun as hell, but half of that is nostalgia I'm sure. I can only imagine if I were between 6 and 12 what kind of coolness this movie would be. I've been warming up to the HP series since the first one, which I originally thought was boring and somewhat bland and safe. Never thought I'd say it, but I can't wait for this one.

    by frank proscia

J.K. Rowling ripped off elements from every fantasy novel EVER written (rather poorly), then mashed the whole thing into a blender and SPEWED it out into a meaty paste. And what happens? All the VERMIN on this site open wide and mewl "Feed me, mama!" Let me break it out this way: Voldemort=Sauron; Dementors=Nazgul; Wormtail=Wormtongue; Harry Potter fans=Raped. Face the facts, people. Rowling doesn't give two good goddamns about ANY of you. She rolled you like a bum in an alley and when you didn't have another nickel to give, she retreated to her castle and LAUGHED HER ASS OFF! If she cares so much about her "original" story, WHERE'S THE NEW NOVEL??? Don't worry, it'll come. Just as soon as she can find another author who's work she can STEAL. Then Christopher "HACK" Colombus grinds out another mishmash for you to suckle on in hopes of squeezing out more money. YOU ARE BEING ROBBED! WAKE UP!!!

What a freaking surprise. A bunch of NEGATIVITY on a talkback. That's just amazing. Usually the people on this site are so positive and look forward to movies.... oh wait, they almost never do. And yes, someone actually said that Rowling "rapes the fans" as an analogy. One of the most overused and offensive analogies continues.

Huge Harry Potter fan. Reading the Harry Potter books gives me immense pleasure. Sort of the opposite of rape. Love the settings, the characters and the story. Really liked the first film, but no, it couldn't totally capture the joy/spirit of the books.

This new movie looks FREAKING AWESOME. Loved the trailer. Totally excited.

But isn't everything a ripoff of something else? The trick is to give it enough of a twist to seem different. And every generation is going to have it's own version of the same old. For a lot of us, it was Goonies, and Neverending Story, and Tron. Land of the lost was the greatest show on Earth. When I was 8. Shit, even the Smurfs were cool when I was 8. Most kids today probably don't know about those films, but they have Harry Potter and Pokemon and who knows what else. I don't keep up with all the kid's shit these days as I am not a parent. I enjoy the Potter books. But I realize they are kids books and are written as such. My favorite books as a kid were The Mad Scientists Club and Encyclopedia Brown. I haven't read either in a long time, and if I did, they would probably read a lot like Harry Potter. I also thought the first film was enjoyable. If I was a kid, I'd probably think it was the best movie I ever saw. And 20 years from now, when the Potter generation has kids of their own, there will be some new telling of the same stories that have been passed down forever.

Yeah, that was along the lines of most of what I disliked about the first movie, but guess what? None of that matters, because it's a kid's movie. Yes, yes, that's no excuse for meaningless side-plots, wild improbabilities, poor special effects, and (nearly) perfect parallels to earlier successful movies. But what are the kids going to enjoy? Wasn't that the bottom line? What I see in this sequel, however, is an honest attempt to mature the characters a bit. And from what we've all read here, the plan appears to be to segue into more sophisticated and mature material, and I couldn't be happier that they are. Just be glad that this is much better fare another Spy Kids or Nickelodeon movie.

    by nozoki

but I can be quite amusing when I like. I just thought that I would stoop to the same mental level as someone who calls people VERMIN for deciding for themselves what they enjoy. Now here's a follow up to my second post. Your comparisons in your first post >> mean nothing to me. I've never read the lit that has these characters. Maybe I should have, and maybe I will someday, but I had my own world of fantasy and sci-fi to keep me busy. And excuse me for taking a look at the fantasy world that today's children have. And excuse me again for liking it. I guess I should only like what you say is good, and "original". But I bet if we went back a little bit farther, we would see that so many of your "original" works are nothing more than cleverly disguised reworks themselves.

Harry Potter movies are okay. It doesn't bother me that they promote and encourage our young children to get involved with black magic and witchcraft. I disagree with many who assert that to read Harry Potter books or watch these movies is to be in league with Satan. I don't believe in all that religious mumbo-jumbo. I think it's just entertainment, and will not result in eternal damnation for those who so openly promote the black arts to our youth.

    by sewiz

Is these freaking talk backs. I mean there seems to be all these people here making comments and trying to be "clever" and I guess are they trying to convince the people that like Harry Potter (or interject any other movie title here) that they are wrong, by insulting thier intelligence and calling them names? Or is it they feel like they are jusy so damned interesting that they need to spout off? I just don't understand. If I am not interested in a film, I don't even read the article about it, let alone spend my time composing a Talkback about how lame it is.
Oh and, Frank, rather than explaining to you why comparing HP to LOTR (again) is just silly, I'll just mention that anything you said is just pointless and dumb because Frank Proscia ripped off elements of every negative, over the top lame, fanboy comment EVER written (rather poorly), then mashed the whole thing into a blender and SPEWED it out into a watered-down post.

Yes, even I get caught up in the back and forth dithering of talk backers. I think I am beginning to even understand. See it isn't that you particularly feel any malice towards HP and HP fans, it is just that you feel good about goading others into defending their opinions, some with harsh insults flung back at the offender, others less, uhhh, trashy, shall we say, but the point is the same either way. Do you like to feel superior by deluding yourself into thinking your arguments are better (which is not to say mine are better, seeing how we are talking about a movie based on a work of fiction, both of these arguments are somewhat pointless) and your opinions matter more. Okay having said all that let me respond more directly:
Your first comment just makes my point...you seem almost giddy at the notion that you got to me! As for me commiting to memory, you see there is this really neat thing you can do with text on a computer, it is called cut and paste! You spanked me? When did that happen? I don't recall ever meeting you so that you could spank me? Oh you were using a metaphor! How silly of me. I believe someone else has used that metaphor before, sooo it is no good, sorry got to throw it out.
And as for those last sentences. Well come on bigboy...no namby-pamby warnings, let me have it. We'll see you comes off more intelligent (hint: won't be you, won't be me, either).

I salute you Mr. Pruscia for whipping the Harry Potter fanbase into a frenzy. You are the King of the Trolls and you are so adept at yanking Fanboys and Fangirls chains to the amusement of those who can see past your disguise. We have learned to sit back and watch as you toy with the fragile psyche of those who feel passionately about certain movies. I'm just amazed that your bitter rival Alice hasn't bothered to end your reign of terror here in this Talkback yet. We demand a real battle of wits. All these Fanboys and Fangirls can't even come close to providing the entertainingly amusing verbal prose the both of you exchange like dueling Gladiators. We demand to be entertained. I think when it comes down to a wizard's battle of literary knowledge though Alice would mop the floor with you. But the thread is still fairly fresh so I'll just wait until the real challenge to your supremacy arrives.

Can you read my man? Me thinks you are to busy composing your next reply in your head, whilst attempting to sound out the syllables in my post. I've reread it and it seems pretty straight forward to me. My comment about the pointlessness of this "argument" may have been put poorly as yes fiction is important to people. I guess my real point is that in this kind of situation we won't be effecting the "other" side one way or the other. In addition it ends up both of us just come off as losers.
Though, I could put it up to a vote to see what everybody else thinks? Who has seemed more intelligent in our little back and forth? Of course this being a talk back under a HP article and me being the HP fan, I might be in a position to win. Of course what would the point be. Would I feel justified, edified...goog, because I could say, oh I "beat" Frank...as if there are winners and losers in the expression of opinion. Especially if the supposed "victory" was over some guy who is just here to try and get people to acknowledge him in the first place....

That being said here is something to make you happy. This is my last post...so go ahead and reply and sleep well tonight, smug in the knowledge that you, yes you, the mighty Frank Proscia (who?) got the last word against SeWiz (who?).

I was not aware of this seemingly blatant rip-off on Rowlings' part, but it's beside the point anyway. My point was that most (if not all) modern works have a foundation in some tale from the past. Ripping someone off outright is not the same. If Rowlings did indeed do such a stupid thing, then she deserves whatever she gets. But even Star Wars is based heavily on tales that have been told for centuries. The young orphan who inherits a powerful sword and uses the guidance of a powerful mage to defeat dark forces. The story of a man and woman who seem to dislike each other a great deal, but eventually fall in love. Tales as old as time.

"This is my last post." Would you like a rubber ring to sit on for your ride home? Next victim, please. What you fail to realize is that this is not a discussion of opinion, but an observation of FACT. Rowling is a THIEF who stole her whole book out from under some housefrau and laughed about it all the way to the BANK! Again, I submit to you the proof that Rowling's sole interest from Day ONE has been the steady accruement of CASH: Where is the next book? She had people frothing at the mouth year after year for each installment, and just as she sells the film rights, BOOM, she's gone. What happened? No more "Larry Potter" books to STEAL from, seeing as how she bled those dry. It's taken her more than two years to even conjure up an original thought. But, in the meantime, she just winds up Captain Craptastic to direct another SLAVISH adaptation of one of her ripoff books so that she can pay off her pool cleaner. I'm trying to help you, here. Maybe save you a few bucks this November. But I see you'd rather take it in the dirt chute from the crap merchants at WB. Well, enjoy yourself as your tucking that manpon into your aching BUNG.

I just watched the trailer again, and I must apologize. I noticed there is a flying car in this movie, and that is SUCH an obvious rip-off of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. And Flubber. And Back To The Future. And Blade Runner. And if you count really long jumps as flying, then include Smokey And The Bandit and Dukes Of Hazzard in there as well.

    by akirakaneda

With them whipping out these films at a rate of one a year, the quality will have to drop off...it's just virtually impossible to do good work on a 2 and 1/2 hour film in that short a timeframe.

Then there's the fact that the series is incomplete. If there really are seven books to finish the thing off, either Rowling is going to have to write non-stop or the films will catch up and have to stop. And that would mean recasting the whole thing just about the time the story actually gets interesting...ugh. Then we'd be into the James Bond thing of switching characters all the time...I can see it now, "Harry Potter and the Spy Who Loved Me"...

Plaguarism as a word and a trade has existed for an eternity, I don't care that Harry Potter is unoriginal (and I as much as I love reading HP, I find similarities to many Roald Dahl stories of which I am fond - should I scream FAKE!! Frank?), I find that the HP books are darn good to read, and involving. I found the first film flawed but good, this ad blew my socks-off, and I can only assume that you'll rant that this film is an abomination to all, but you'll still secretly buy a ticket to go and see it!! Sheesh!! What next? "Oh, oh, oh, Bridget Jones rips-off The Manchurian Candidate which in turn is a plaguarism of steamboat wille, oh!! oh!! oh!!". Sheesh. See the movie, get a life.

Please don't write any more articles regarding the next Star Wars, Spiderman, Harry Potter or James Bond movies, or for that matter Gangs of New York. As much as I love to read about them and read some genuine thoughts from talkbackers it sucks to have to read so many people giving them bile like the movies have affected their life, and making out the films are a massive attempt on their seemingly OWN movie THEY LOVE and THEY OWN. WITH THEIR OWN BLOOD. Think I'll just go and see the movies and forget that hey, life isn't a movie, not just a movie, but an attempt to brainwash you. Where are Jay and Silent Bob when you need'em?

    by julie1960

I did a search on this book of Stouffer's and found that it was self-published in 1987 and could be bought at Rite-Aid on the East coast. (Ahem) Her Muggles are hairless, tiny mutant humans who look like large babies. Oh, and Larry Potter isn't even in the same book. The books have been out of print for years...until the lawsuit. Now I guess you can buy one, since they still haven't sold out the 7000 book printing. Hmmm. I make no comment. Draw your own conclusions.

    by a goonie

seeing as i watched this one after Adaptation's trailer. also, due to the suckiness that is my computer as of late, the trailer froze up at the last bit, so i missed what i imagine was the last couple seconds. BUT, what i did see, which was a lot, was amazing. that snowy shot of the horses and such and that birds-eye-view of Hogwarts are incredible. it really looks as though Columbus and Kloves and co. have done it again.

    The Voice and defending HP

    by gypsytrobot

go to apple.com and look in the trailer section for "The Comedian". There you will find the Voice. Maybe they're cutting costs by doing one trailer that can be played in all English-speaking countries, with one Movie Voice doing a crappy hybrid accent that no one can accuse of being too "English" or too "American." BTW note to the HP bashers - have you actually read the books? I have enjoyed them thoroughly despite their being formulaic and not overly-original. Read anything by Shirley Jackson ("The Lottery", "The Haunting of Hill House") and you'll also find derivative material presented in compelling and enjoyable fashion. There is nothing new under the sun . . . Even Tolkien ripped off Lucifer's fall from grace (Melkor -> Morgoth) and the Atlantis legend (Numenor).

    Larry Potter

    by bramton1

I read a web site last year created by Nancy Stouffer, where she broke down the similarities between the two books. Some stuff was suspicious, some was ridiculous stretching, and some was completely untrue (she gets plot points of Harry Potter wrong in order to suggest another similarity). However, if she wins, I'd imagine she'd ask for royalities. If she forced Rowling to stop writing the series, she'd probably be the world's most-hated woman since Madalyn Murray O'Hair.

All of these original concepts were stolen by JKR from the talented Stouffer: stories of orphans, castles on a cliff with reflecting lakes (as opposed to the nonreflecting lakes), people riding in boats to cross that lake (as opposed to walking across the water), castles with huge oak doors (as opposed to castles with no doors?), underground caves and passageways in the castle (how unique!). Harry Potter was ok, but not great

    by chiknfriedelfsac

I haven't read the books, and don't plan to. So just evaluating it as a movie I thought it was decent overall, but could have been much better. What do you expect with Chris Columbus directing. I actually thought the Harry Potter kid was a decent enough actor at times, but others he was silly and over the top. I attribute this to Columbus. Instead of having a normal natural reaction to surprising things, he gets this wide-eyed jaw dropping totally contrived look. I can see Columbus now on the set, "no, that's not enough, you have to make your eyes bug out and drop your chin to the ground, you know, just like in Home Alone! Could we get some aftershave on the set maybe? I'd like to do the face-slapping scene!"

Ever heard of King Arthur? Merlin? Star Wars was influenced by a story that was influenced by King Arthur which in turn was influenced by a plethora of other heroes journeys including the oddysey. Just because you can find similarities does not make you correct. Every book and film ever made is influenced or based on other works. Are they all hacks? I'm not a big Harry Potter fan but you are being a bit ridiculous. Many people said the same thing (intelligently) about Star Wars that you are saying about HP when it came out.

    Stouffer's so-called comparisions

    by bramton1

At www.realmuggles.com, Nancy Stouffer lists some comparisons between Harry Potter and her books. Now, some are legit points. But others are so ridiculous. Let's compare (i list (i'll list HP, then Stouffer): Muggle Families vs. Muggle Families (In HP, Muggles are non-magical people, like you and me. So apparently, our existance infringes on Stouffer's story), Muggle villages vs. Muggle villages (also, New York City is a copyright infringment of Stouffer's book), Muggles rejoicing "Happy, happy day" vs. Muggles rejoicing "Oh what a wonderful day" (first, when have muggles rejoiced in HP. second, since when does Stouffer corner the market on happiness?), Muggles play soccer-like game vs. Muggles play croquet-like game (first, muggles don't play quidditch, magical folks do. second, now Stouffer has the rights to all sports?), A Mirrored Lake vs. A Mirrored Lake (yes, it seemes mirrored lakes are only allowed in Stouffer's books. hey nancy, there's a mirrored lake in Forrest Gump! Better sue!), Boats await by lake vs. Boats await by inlet (boats can't wait in the water? well, where the fuck do you want boats to wait? In a forest?), Castle on cliff vs Castle on cliff (correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't 98% of castles in stories either surrounded by moats or on cliffs?), Entrance to Castle Flight of Stone Steps that lead to a huge oak door vs. Entrance to Castle Flight of Stone Steps that lead to a huge wooden door (A huge wooden door and stone steps leading to a stone castle? Nancy, you better get cracking. I think The Two Towers has that also.), Entrance Hall vs. Receiving Hall (don't most houses come with foyers?), Great Hall vs. Great Hall (Weren't giant dining halls standard in medival times?), Seats in Great Hall vs. Seats in Great Hall (you're shitting me, right? You can't have seats in a dining room without Nancy's permission?), Visitors prepared for questions vs. Visitors prepared for questions (what questions? I only remember a sorting hat?), Questions asked before others already there vs. Questions asked before others already there (again, what questions?), House Cup Honor Crystal Goblet vs. House Cup of Desire Crystal Goblet (I registered for crystal goblets for my wedding. am i in violation of Stouffer's copyright?), Characters dressed in tights vs. Characters in tights (Superman was invented in 1939 and he wears TIGHTS!), Vanishing Steps vs. Vanishing Steps (I don't remember vanishing steps. Moving steps, yes. Vanishing? No.), Quill pens and parchment vs. Quill pens and parchment (so ridiculous, it's not worth making a joke about), Poisonous Fungus Allegic Reaction vs. Poisonous Moss Allegic Reaction (Poison Ivy! Poison Oak! Poison Sumac!), Governor vs. Friar (one's a political figure, one's a religious figure. And the comparision is where?), The Monster Book of Monsters vs. The Ancient Book of Tales (...speechless...).

Oh, Frank... has it come to this?

    by aliceinwonderlnd

I was called and I come. I would have come earlier, but I had more important things to do - like watching paint dry, oiling my bicycle chain, and reflecting on why chewing gum loses its flavour on the bedpost overnight. I enjoyed the HP books for what they were, but was underwhelmed by the rather static adaptation that was the movie. Hopefully this one will be better. Now that's out of the way, on to Frank. Or Dan. Or whatever identity he is currently using to house his antisocial mundane tendency. Frank, this is low even for you, and since you could limbo-dance underneath an amoeba, that's saying something. I think it's probably *you* that needs the rubber ring after the comprehensive ass-kicking that was handed out to you on the TTT TB. And Moaters is keen to turn your virtual whupping into a physical one, I guess the fun never stops on AICN! I'd seize the chance if I were you, who knows when you'll next get the opportunity to finally interact with another human being you're not related to? So you fly here, obviously hoping that a TB around a film with a lower age demographic means that you will be able to score more cheap points from the safety and security of your parent's basement. Frank, you suck, have sucked, and will always suck sweaty donkey balls, and riding the HP people is the sign of a man fighting for material. Consider your pimply, mushy ass SCHOOLED by the Queen of Talkback! WHIP-TASH! (Alice delicately adjusts her Catwoman ears and cracks her cat-o-nine-tails to signal her departure, being very careful to crack it right over the point where Frank's asscrack strains outwards into the outside world over the sagging, defeated waistband of his crusted Gap khakis...)

It was especially nice to see the trailer because I haven't watched the first movie yet. Like Skullfarmer, I just read the books two weeks ago (actually one week ago) and I really enjoyed them so I'm a new HP fan. I think the second book will make an excellent movie because of how the mystery develops and the third book "HP and the Prisnor of Azkaban" is my favorite. Rowling really surprised me and I never could have guessed the outcome. She is (in my opinion) a very talented mystery writer. The fourth book again was a big surprise-- although quite a bit darker. I've truly enjoyed the books and look forward to the newest film.

It makes me want to VOMIT to see you complain so vociferously about how I did not take the time to read your posts, when you turn around and gave me the same treatment. Do you honestly think I made no points about HP? No argument that Rowling has liberally stolen from every fantasy novel ever published? No observation that she is currently embroiled in a bitter lawsuit with a woman who makes a rather compelling case for plagarism? No notice of the fact that the first film was merely a slavish cookie-cutter adaptation of the book that could have been directed by a robot? Indeed. While I do admit that I often stoop to name-calling (it's just too much fun not to), I shudder to think that's all I have to offer. Alice, I'll say it again. I find myself in a peculiar position...

    by aliceinwonderlnd

Frank, I have to thank you. If you had not annoyed my greatness sufficiently to actually *go* to realmuggles.com, I never would have discovered what an absolute crock of shit this whole case was. What a loss that would have been to my worldview! In fact, after reading it, I must confess I'm eagerly looking forward to Tolkien's lawyers pouncing on Stouffer and her race of three foot high round-bellied child-like creatures. But that's to be mean to her. I really only enjoy being mean to trolls. Some of the names are similar - the events, the tone of the story, the setting, and every other damn thing is not. You do not own the copyright of a name unless you make it a trademark, which fiction writers (at least the non litigious sort) rarely do. That's why we don't have to write Hobbits (TM) every time they're mentioned. To me, there are only two good reasons to bring a plagiarism case - 1) You send your amazing story idea into a mega-huge publisher which then knocks it back to you with a form letter, and a year later publishes something containing all of your ideas, or 2) You've got someone attempting to publish something called "Larry Potter and the Worry Stone" on the back of your talent after the book sells a million copies. Stouffer doesn't qualify on these levels since the story and events in her novels clearly bear no relation to HP, apart from some character names (which are not copyrighted, though they appear to have been since). Apparently the book came out and went out of print before HP fever gripped the populace. And that ALONE should be sufficient to invalidate the argument since if the book was so similar to HP, it should have become a phenomenon itself, right? As for the Tolkien rip-offs, I'm sorry, I thought you meant "valid" points, as you so boldly described them in an earlier post. Regarding the dementors, they are similar to Nazgul in that they are expressions of absolute fear, horror, and psychic death. There the resemblance ends. If you want to describe beings like that, you are going to come up with something Nazgul-like. Now, if said Dementors rode horses and got their gig by accepting pretty finger jewellery from Voldemort, you may have had a point. Regarding Wormtongue and Wormtail, low crawling things will be likened to worms - as *you* must find on a daily basis. I know there are others but I can't be bothered to look. And if I make you want to VOMIT go me - perhaps you'll barf up your lungs into the bargain and rid the world of your saucy impertinence, you Tolkien wannabe huckster, you child-annoying jackanapes, you! People that torment the tender young souls of HP fans are the worst sort of slime - what do you intend to do for an encore - rip off the heads of their stuffed banthas? Consider my sabre rattled!

Why waste time on HP when LOTR exists?

    by ronnie_dobbs

Are we 13 years old here, people? These are just kid's books we're talking about here. If that's what you want, at least read Roald Dahl. LORD OF THE RINGS is where it's at if you want sorcery and trolls and shit. Why accept substitutes. I hope I don't even have to tell you which film adaptation is better ---- HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE might entertain children and die-hard fans of the "novels", but I just couldn't get past the fact that every single CG effect looked absolutely diarrheal, when they could have easily made real-life effects that looked better. How can a movie that looked that shitty even compete with the combined genius of Tolkien and Peter Jackson? Also, Chris Columbus can suck me off sideways.

    Great books

    by brian_de_man

I personally do not put Harry Potter in the same boat with LOTR's. Two totally diffrent storys and epics in their own right. I have read all the Harry Potter Books and find each one to get better and better. Rowlings books grow more mature with each book just as the children grow up in school. Their challenges become increasingly difficult as does Harrys battles with his own enemies. Voldemort does end up coming back and he is out and about by the 4th books. Hence when Order of the Phoenix hits the stands..we should see some very large dilemmas for Harry and his crew of misfits. Harry hits on the mark with its comedy type styles till it leads up to the dangers which become more serious. The actor should also get better at acting while he grows up so I expect the next movie, Chamber of Secrets to be better performed.

Harry grows more bold and also begins to grow a backbone soon enough to start challenging teachers. Hence...Snape. I dont think ive seen a lot of movies or stories similar to this one and I rather not see some pansy try and compare it with LOTR.

If you want to compare LOTR to something, Try Star Wars. LOTR kicks Star Wars ass! These movies are the epics. Peter Jackson put the smack down on George Lucas. He added limited CGI to the upclose enemies and made a lot of the battles look really well done. Star Wars when they did that attack with the Clones..that was pure CGI crap ive seen done better in Blizzard Warcraft 3 cinematigraphy.

I'm a huge original Star Wars fan. But this stuff hes bringing out the last 6 years sucks huge donkey balls. George needs to find a better Lucas Camera. Yea that POS he built just for Star Wars. Oh well me done complaining:)
