HERC's Seen New ROSWELL!!

Roswell 3.15 FAQ

What’s this week’s episode called?

“Who Died and Made You King?”

Who’s responsible?

Teleplay is credited to Gretchen J. Berg and Aaron Harberts (“Control,” “Ch-Ch-Changes”).

What does TV Guide say?

“In the aftermath of Max's death and rebirth, a glitch anoints Michael (Brendan Fehr) as the new king of the aliens - and slowly diminishes Max's special powers. Meanwhile, Jesse (Adam Rodriguez) seeks professional help in order to cope with his newfound knowledge. Max: Jason Behr. Isabel: Katherine Heigl. Agent Burns: Yorgo Constantine. Dr. Weiss: Harry Groener. Jeff Parker: John Doe.”

When was the last time “Roswell” aired?

Feb. 26, the last Tuesday of February sweeps.

Does this mean we’re in May sweeps?

Not quite. “May” sweeps kicks off Thursday, April 25. (It lasts exactly four weeks and ends the Wednesday before Memorial Day weekend.)

Hasn’t “Roswell” already been cancelled?

UPN hasn’t made the official announcement, but USA Today (and a host of other sources) have already declared it worm food.

Max dies and is revived, and a new leader is called? Why does this sound familiar?

Five years ago Buffy died and was revived, and a new slayer was called.

Harry Groener plays Jesse’s therapist? Didn’t he used to be the mayor of Sunnydale?

Groener played His Honor Richard Wilkins, who turned into a giant snake and tried to eat the Sunnydale High student body three years ago.

Ooo! Does he do that giant snake thing tonight?

No.

What is TV Guide not telling us?

Things go badly for Jesse. Plagued by otherworldly nightmares, he leaves Isabel and takes up residence at the Travel Inn. He’s soon abducted by government agents.

The big news?

Michael’s dilemma is ultimately resolved with ridiculous ease, but Jesse and Isabel get into the kind of hot water that’s going to haunt them until the series’ conclusion. Jesse kills a guy, and Iz uses her superpowers to cover it up.

Didn’t Herc post spoilers for the remaining episodes?

Yes, way back on Feb. 23.

Read them here!

Are Parker and Evans coupled again?

There’s a kiss-free golf outing. “It’s not that I don’t want to,” says Liz at one point. “It’s just that things can’t go back to the way they were.”

Does Liz still make phones and ceramic dinnerware all melty when she’s around Max?

Not this week.

Phillip Evans is a busy lawyer. Has he given up on trying to figure out the mysteries surrounding his adopted children?

No. Now that Liz has suddenly returned from New England, he’s more suspicious than ever. (This despite Liz’s imaginatively lurid cover story.)

What’s good?

The plot is really speeding along in this, the first of the series’ last four episodes. There are cool songs by Jimmy Eat World and South. (And Maria continues to amuse with her celebrity similes.)

What’s not so good?

The pretty boy who plays Jesse remains one poor substitute for Colin Hanks. Dude, Jesse grew up in New Mexico; make an effort to lose the Bronx accent already!

How does it end, spoiler boy?

Jesse watches a chef prepare rice.
