    by 2gold

Wow, what a bad decade it has been for the Lone Gunmen!
First the LONE GUNMEN show gets axed and now the Gunmen don't even get to survive the X-FILES show or make it to a film! And yet the characters on UNDECLARED still live....WHERE IS THE JUSTICE!!!

    A full Arlington style laydown?

    by douglasah

Oh, my. Either these guys are all former agents, and I just never cared enough about the show to know their back story, or something corny where the world learns of the alien invasion and buries these guys as heroes is going to take place. Whatever.

The JUSTICE is there, due to the fact that "Undeclared" is one of the best shows on television while the X-Files has been dead for a few years. If Fox cancels Undeclared and keeps on "That 80's Show," "Titus," "Grounded For Life," or the overrated "Bernie Mac Show" in its place, I'll go insane.

    Reply to Talkback

  • I was hoping that the Lone Gunmen show would have survived at least two more seasons, but oh well. Fox just sucks when it comes to cancelling a cool show like it after one season. --->Chris, why are you killing these guys off? Why can't we see them have a better role in the next movie? These guys play a good part in helping Mulder and Scully find small clues to the mysteries they are trying to solve. I hope their deaths are fake so they can come back in the movie and kick some ass. Damn.......

i inferred the same thing KingSpike did and thought this was about the Big Scoobie Death. i swore to myself that if i ever came across that particular spoiler, i'd never read it. and yet, here i was, ready to be spoiled. shame on me... and as far as fox sitcoms go, Undeclared shouldn't even be classified as mere sitcom, it is, no more no less, a great show. and the structural quirk of Grounded For Life is a poor ripoff of Titus, so there

SPOILER - The nWo shows up during the last 'X-Files' ep

    by notchjohnson

Hey, yo! Some drunk friend of mine just told me that Hollywood Hogan, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and possibly Shawn Michaels are gonna show up on the final episode of 'X-Files'. Is it the whiskey talking, not him? Personally, I'm hoping that the Rock and Kurt Angle get spots, if such a rumor MUST go on. Notch out.

    by tbrosz

I remember a "Columbo" where his wife died, complete with funeral and the works. HA! Psyche! It was all a ruse. For the life of me I can't remember why though. A big fake death setup sounds like just the sort of thing to make for shocking "scenes from next week" and goose up the ratings.

    by diablo muerte

and here i was hoping all the characters on Friends would meet with an untimely demise. Perhaps at the Perky Breast Cafe a hold up could go wrong, and you could have the only black guy in the Friends New York as the robber. It would prevail as the one episode worth watching in the entire Friends episode canon. Also it could provide the lone laugh in the series as when one of the perky friends gets shot in the gut he could let out the kind of fart that would kill cancer.
    i can dream cant i?

    by jenguin1

Ok seeing as how for me, the show ended last season (i was content with the family ending).. but ok.. i've been watching for some years now.. watched the reruns, etc etc. Now seeing as how Mr Mulder and Ms Scully will be on the big screen in the coming years as the sci-fi duo -- i see this to be some sort of "fake death". Like talk backer Christopher said, they stage their own death and become their own conspiracy theory - it's brilliant! It may have been a funny comment, but it has some possible truth to it. CC is dumb in some ways (like hellooo shoulda ended it last season and hellooo Gish? bleh!) anyway.. he's a smart writer when it comes to the big story of things. They'll probably sum up the show with the general storyline / baby stuff.. and then come movie time hit the sister storyline. Or whatever. I'm babbling. It'll be sad i'm sure.

I realized that my comment made it sound like i thot Mulder/Scully were the people to die, but no i just meant that since Xfiles was to continue at least once more for a movie.. that our lovely 3 men-o-theories will be back to save the day :)

I have to agree with Evil Reader...

    by renonevada2000

... while these deaths does give closure to their story (Though I would like to imagine them out there still doing there thing after the series ends) I'm surprised that Carter & Co. are actually using a storytelling technique like closure. For years now its felt like this show was just going on and on and on with no perceptable end in sight...

    by omarthesnake

I agree with a few other posters here: If they kill the Gunmen, it's likely because the gunmen are fakin' their own deaths and going underground. Killing the beloved comic relief in the home stretch would be a stupid, stupid... oh, wait, forgot which producer we were talking about here.

    X-Files, Undeclared, Titus....

    by darkstarr

The Lone Gunmen dead... Well, as a casual watcher of X-files *missed too much plot* I think they were probably my favorite characters.. hate to see them go, but at least they are seemingly going to get some recognition. As for Undelcared, I've probably seen half the episodes.. and I must say, I'm not impressed. It's just not a real laugher for me, or the fact that my dorm life wasn't as boring. I think Titus, Grounded for Life, That 70's Show, Malcolm in the Middle, and Futurama are the only things left worth watching on Fox. Oh, ya.. I'll throw Dark Angel in there, simply because it's nowhere near as bad as the first season was.

    It's just a conspiracy!!!!

    by kikstad

Until I see the rotting bodies, I won't believe it's true! Seriously, if done well, this could be a good plot development. I like surprises and plot twists, and it's boring when we feel secure that the "good guys" in TV series never die. As long as it's not a lame "Kirk-Death" a la Star Trek Generations, it could be very memorable.

Okay, who is this guy/gal who claims that this will all happen. call me a newbie, but duh, that is so stupid to kill off these three. granted the show was NOT Golden globe good, the story behind them was great, and could be greater in xfile movies. Carter would be WAY stupid to get rid of them. It is crap.
