BLADE 2 Super Bowl Commercial Up!

Published at:  Feb 04, 2002 4:37:55 AM CST

Hey folks, Harry here.... Ol Rob Worley of Comics2Film.Com and I have been up late doing the brainstorm on trying to get you folks these files super fast... Rob did an ass kicking job on the files, but you good folks maxxed his servers dead... I found him a nice home for some of the clips and now, you can check them out. As for the BLADE 2 spot.... personally I would have just used coherent sequential footage of BLADE from that first fight... The one thing that I wish came across in this or the other BLADE 2 theatrical is that the degree of coolness has been amped up and that there is actually a creepy scary horror quality... but I suppose marketing schmucks are scared of horror, because it only led to HANNIBAL making over $240 million or so... right? EXORCIST did so terrible being a horror film. ALIENS was terrible for being horror... sigh I just wish they embraced horror as being a valid genre. BLADE 2 is a HORROR ACTION film. That's something to relish in. Cuz it kicks a lot of ass, teeth and blood all around! Anyway, enough of me, here's where to get your treat!

    every trailer is getting worse.....

    by lelon

i'm really afraid this movie is gonna suck major ass (at least, in compared to the first). i'm staying away from spoilers on purpose so i might be pleasantly suprised but the commercials look like ass.

    Trailer cutting

    by ns1crr

Every year they seem to cut trailers faster and faster; it would be nice to see some sort of small section of the movie which would give you a feel for the rest of the movie sort of the way the MIB2 trailers are doing. Instead we just have a sort of mess of cutting - Blade jumps around, characters keep popping up for either one line or to just stand around, a bit in a sewer, a bit with motorbikes, etc. It comes across like them trying to show the entire movie with using half second chunks taken every 5 minutes or so. I'm not saying they need to completely remove the quick cut sequences - just have some sort of part where the trailer can take its time to show what the movie will be like - oh, and get rid of Mr. Voice, it just makes the trailers seem cheesy.

Man I like the trailer, granted it didn't show much, but it'll be fun non the less.

This thingee is so hectically cut, I had to throw up

    by aronld scazziger

Hell, what kinda editing style is this? Looks like a baaad Pokemon episode! The imagery is cool, though. DAYWALKER! Har har, seems Del Toro has done a good job... (well I liked the Vanilla Sky trailer too, but the movie was utter shite...)

    Thanks, Harry!

    by robworley

Hey, Harry. Thanks again for the bandwidth boost. The poor little C2F server had smoke gushing out of the manifold by half-time last night. If you hadn't helped out, very few people would be able to enjoy the downloads. Thanks!

is it ok to hate the first blade movie?

    by pparker

i think the first one was garbage. i like del toros movies so far, perhaps this one will be better. he should have stayed in mexico though.

    Sorry Lelon

    by brooklyn bred

X-Men was boring and the plot was below average. Wolvie was the best thing in it. Blade on the other hand had non-stop thrills the only beef I had with Blade was that he was emotionless and spoke in a gravely voice. Hopefully he'll lighten up a bit in part 2.

Blade wiped it's ass with that sorry ass excuse for an X-men movie and it's sequel will too.

    like I said

    by lelon

I hope its like the first one. the fact that this is a "horror" flick is not a good thing, because today horror == gore, and gore is just stupid. but again, i'm deliberatly ignorant about this movie, so maybe i'll be shocked when i see it and it'll be good. If its half as good as the first one (or, like i said, 1/4th as good as xmen, the best comic book movie ever) i'll be happy. but i won't be at all suprised if this movie sucks major ass

I hated the first Blade, but the second...

    by holidill

looks pretty cool. I was surprised that my girlfriend said she saw Blade in the movie theater and loved it. She hates horror type of films! However she said she would go with me to Blade 2. Can't wait. DAYWALKER!!!
