Hey folks, Harry here... Looks like we have another look at the I SPY set and production and frankly, I'm quite interested in seeing this film done right. I'm pulling for it. I love the old I SPY show... Got a couple on DVD and the show was just a damn fine series. Without further ado, let's get to it then...

This is my first time writing in but thought I should after reading southern cranes' observations on the Vancouver shoot of "I Spy". I was also there for all four days very close to the action, and was fortunate enough to speak with one of the stars, Eddie Murphy plays world Boxing champ Kelly Robinson (super middleweight I think) and Darren Shahlavi plays the European champion Cedric Mills. I recognized Shahlavi immediately from Tai Chi 2 (directed by Yuen Wo Ping, and he plays the bad guy in Bloodmoon) Shahlavi was in the ring constantly for four days leaving only to have bathroom breaks which is when I accosted him, he told me not to ask anything about the script but gave me some cool info. The scene shooting is intercut with scenes of Owen Wilson's character and Famke Janssen ( which is what Murphy had to react to at one point, not sure why though). Malcolm McDowell is in the film and they shot scenes in Budapest also.

They have a guy named Daryl Foster as boxing trainer and fight co-coordinator, he is the same guy who trained Will Smith and did the fights for Ali. the fights look awesome and lots of coverage was done, as to Murphy looking bored, try intense concentration, he insisted on doing all the fights himself and the two of them really go at it. the tattoos on Murphy's arm are his wins 57 - 0 I'm not going to give away the result of the fight but you will be impressed by the action it reminded me of the Stallone / Lundgren fight in Rocky IV but more realistic. As for just another TV remake? the director Betty Thomas was a producer on Charlie Angels, and the producers of I Spy are Mario Kassar and Andy Vajna (Rambo, Terminator, Basic instinct etc) say no more.................

Murphy teamed with Owen Wilson and a more uncensored Murphy expect real chemistry and from what I've heard and seen High octane action.
