Ben & Gwyneth taking over for Grant & Fontaine in Kaufman's remake of Hitchcock's SUSPICION!

Hey folks, Harry here... Somehow the concept of Ben Affleck taking over for Cary Grant... just seems like one of those bizarre weird conversations that you come up with at 5 in the morning while eating shrooms and various retching cacti experiences... ie... a bad trip. However, I always felt SUSPICION was a good film, but really dated... it doesn't read as well as the later Hitchcock films...

It's almost in ink. Ben Affleck and Gwyneth Paltrow are to headline a remake of Hitchcock's SUSPICION. To be directed by Philip Kaufman (The Unbearable Lightness of Being), Paltrow will play a society miss who realises she's married a cold-blooded nasty ol' killer (Affleck) and starts to fear she's on the hit list too. Playwright John Guare has written the adaptation of the 1941 movie.

Apparently Ben and Gweynth, who also did "Bounce" together, have patched things up and looking seriously at having this be their next teaming. They won't have to travel too far to film the movie either, it's going to film on location in California. They are looking at production starting in Summer 2002.

P.S - Also caught Letterman in which Richard Harris appeared. Harris stated that although he will be like 85 and in a wheelchair, the makers of "Harry Potter" plan on doing 7 movies, preferably with him in them. lol
