  ICE AGE Trailer looks COOL!!!

  I saw this thing in front of MONSTERS last weekend, and it looked awesome. To my trained eye, it seems to be the first of these CG movies (SHREK, MONSTERS, BUG'S LIFE, etc) with a distinctive visual style. Great looney-toons-style character and action. Unfortunately, as is normally the case with these movies, it seems subject to the movie studio process of trailer cutting. They went for a very traditional trailer, which feels tired in form. However, that FIRST TRAILER they had with the SQUIRREL much better sets this thing apart. Very cool stuff. Later... oh yeah, and am I first?

  I'll see any movie starring Ray Romano. i like Jon Leguiizamo too. but i'm most excited for Ray. I think he plays the elephant in ICE AGE. Why can't Ray do more movies??

  while monsters inc had great animation, I didn't like it that much, and I HATED the way the kid looked. now the kid in this (ICE AGE) looks GREAT!.

  That';s the worst looking trailer / movie that I've seen in a long time. It doesn't even look funny ! Hell, I'd rather see "Crossroads" than this piece of shit.

  Back in August at the World Animation Celebration, a passel of execs & creators from Blue Sky showed off several minutes of in-progress work on ICE AGE. From what I saw, this should be a pretty fun film .. the overall plot seems to owe a lot to THREE MEN AND A BABY, but the point of the film seems to be less about the plot and instead about the characters' interactions .. the three animal characters play really well off each other; each has very different reasons for being part of the quest to return the human baby to his tribe, and their overlapping agendas provide a lot of fodder for great character-developing scenes (and a lot of brilliant character animation). Unfortunately, this trailer shows little of that .. for example, the sabre-tooth tiger's "Where's the baby?" line plays kinda flat on it's own; however, in context, that moment is the culmination of a really really funny scene. It was also revealed that the teaser trailer is actually the opening scene of the film .. and that ICE AGE director Chris Wedge is the 'voice' of that unlucky sabre-tooth squirrel .. ^_^

  It's because his alleged brand of "comedy" it totally inoffensive, pedestrian, white-bread shit, that's why. His show has got to be the fucking black hole of sitcoms, sucking all humor into its gaping maw of suburban stupidity. Which is probably why it hits a chord with such a large audience. People are dumb.
