OCEAN'S ELEVEN Trailer online in Real Video ala CanalPlus!!!

Published at:  Oct 04, 2001 9:18:30 AM CDT

Hey folks, Harry here... The OCEAN'S ELEVEN trailer went out on satellite yesterday and the first online source to scoop it up was Canal Plus! They have put it up within the form of their own 'Entertainment Tonight'-style program, but the link below... I believe... provides you direct access to the Real Video... don't worry though, the trailer is in English (as the French rarely dub and respect the original origins of art.... unlike many American outlets... sigh) . You'll listen to the French Bob Goen and Mary Hart (though a thousand times more hot) before it starts, but THANK GOD, they remain silent throughout the trailer! Here ya go...

    Something is sucking my ass!!!

    by darthsatyr

I fear that the Ass Sucking of movies will continue throughout the rest of the year. Don't get me wrong, there are some good things out there, but not enough. Not nearly enough...I have really high hopes for Ocean's 11. Please, please be good. Oh, the and the same wish for LOTR!!

And a good time was had by all.

    by juggernaut125

This looks like it was a riot to make. Like Steven's directions were "Here's the words, here's the set. Go have fun kids." I'm looking forward to this one. Clooney has great delivery. And the rest of the cast seems to be in sync with that.

let me clarify that last post

    by fullphantom5

    TAB not ENTER, ASS!

What? ANOTHER RAT-PACK film? Gawd, give it UP already! There aren't any actors alive who can pull off that kind of cool anymore, so just scrap it and watch the Sopranos. (which I fear is heading for Crapville soon anyway) Is there not ONE interesting story or screenplay that is going to be produced? ONE!?!? I mean, I guess I'm looking forward to LOTR, but that IS based on a book. How about some frickin originality. The last original flick I saw was Being John Malkovich, which was pretty damned neat. And I dont want to hear about Fight Club either. It's overrated, post-modern, whiney-male, violent psychobabble. Complain complain complain, bitch bitch bitch
    =)

  • To quote George Clooney, "Yeah." I've been looking forward to this one, along with a small number of others, and it looks like it'll be great. I loved the way, even in a short trailer, they interacted and the insouciance with which the lines were spoken. Looks like a whole lotta fun!____Bee

  • How about it... I haven't been knocked off my ass in quite a while at the movies, and, for some reason, even with the release of movies like Ali, The Majestic, Ocean's Eleven, Harry Potter, LOTR, Monsters, Inc., and Gangs of New York, why do I have the weird feeling that they may all possibly suck? I'm probably just paranoid. Here's another thing worrying me. I haven't been to the movies since 9-11, (not like there have been a whole lot of reasons to go), but do you think it will be easier to get sucked in to a really great movie, or will it have to now be unbelievably great in order to pull us in, considering the shit we've all now seen in real life. I think it just depends on how much you've watched the news that week... anyone else?

    contagious enter-key problems

    by twan_deeth_ree

I seem to have had that same tab vs. enter key distinction problem. Anyway, I sure do love a movie with a plan. The Great Escape, Sneakers, even Disorganized Crime (anyone remember that late 80's gem, Lou Diamond Phillips, Corbin Bernsen, Herman Munster-I can't remember his real name busting into that small-town Montana bank, taking out all the cars in the police force - good stuff). Anyway looks great - cast, director, dialogue, action, all of it. I can't wait.

IT'S LIKE THOSE FRENCH HAVE A DIFFERENT WORD FOR EVERYTHING!

    by randfilms

Looking forward to seeing this, but am getting a little pained by S.S.'s "hippness" in his pictures.

Same editing. Same music. Same shit?

    Hope not.

Even thought the same shit is still pretty good shit.

    Steven

    by docbosch

Everything he does seems to be an original take on things that have been done before (of course, when i say everything, i mean that which i have seen),... so original, it makes it seem like new. I love him as a filmmaker. This is my numero uno movie that im waiting for this year. Who else would like to see him do a Die Hard-esque action flick, just to see what he does with it? I would. Anyway, im still a little scared. Not to disqualify Stevey, but ive seen so many movies this year where i knew they were gonna be good, but turned out to be disapointing. I mean, some of the best filmmakers have failed this summer, so there you go. still, im looking forward to it, and when i think of the other movies this fall, i see its in good company and should not be compared to summer.

    Soderbergh's style

    by case

Who gives a flying fuck if his movies all have the same feel. It's what sets him apart from all the shit out there. When a director has a certain style about him, that is when he is truly great. Kurosawa never lost his directing style. From Sanshiro Sugata to Madadayo his films all had his signature style. I just hope Soderbergh doesn't catch Coppola's disease and start churning out shit like The Rainmaker. So many great director's of yesteryear lose it. It breaks my heart. My current film heroes are Michael Mann and Steven Soderbergh. I can only hope they don't lose it. At least not for another decade or so.

    real video licks my bag.

    by a goonie

that trailer was not only on a small resolution, it was all crapped up! there were like blocks of pixels that would suddenly just shift off to the left of the screen, completely ruining the image. i'm sure we all know what
i'm talking about. well, anyone who's watched this version of the trailer obviously knows. anyhow, i can't wait till this trailer gets released in quicktime. or on the big screen.
