Cool News
Species 2 spills forth
My spy on SPECIES 2 has been quiet, gathering cool news for a loooong loooong time. Watching and listening, and now he/she/it (wouldn’t it be cool if the spy were an “it” on this project) is divulging all. Call them Jonesey and here is what the cat drug in:
“Species 2! It's been filming down here in Maryland for the last 50 days or so. Tonight, they just wrapped up principle photography. I got to help out the last 3 days, shooting the big ending! And trust me, it's definietly COOL!
Okay, let me give you the plot, in case you aren't 100% sure about what it is. USA has sent a shuttle to Mars, because apparently, we can. The mission is led by a dashing young astronaunt named Patrick. Partrick get's to Mars, and is somehow infected with an Alien virus and, surprise surprise, the virus contains the same DNA that created Sil in the first movie. Well, the crew comes back to Earth, and Patrick starts to mutate into a male "Sil" alien. Just like in the first movie, he goes around looking for a mate... or should I say "mates"....
*SPOILER*
Patrick goes around and "humps" virtually every hot girl he sees. And the instant he plants his seed, the females instantly become pregnant. I don't know how big you are on X-rated Japanese Animation, but if you've ever seen one of those movies where horny demons shoot large penis's out at innocent schoolgirls, then you'll get the idea of how Patrick impregnats the women. The new Alien/human babies grew up very fast, and trouble ensues....
ENTER EVERYONE WHO SURVIVED THE FIRST MOVIE (minus Forest Whitaker) Everyone is called back to help bring down Patrick and his offspring. Add James Cromwell as the "harden" senator who assembles everyone, and Bubba from Forrest Gump (I don't know how to spell his name) as an army guy whose helping them. But the most shocking member of the team is....drum role, please.....Another SIL! That's right, Natasha Henstridge has been brought back as the other Sil (remember in the first movie where they said they made two embryos with the Alien DNA) Will, they took the remaining embryo, made a new Sil, but this time, added some chemicals to make her good. With the help of the new Sil, the gang goes after Patrick....
Okay, your probably asking yourself, how else is this movie different form the first one? Well, to start, teh Alien creatures will be ENTIRELY PUPPETS! Remember how horrible the CGI was in the first movie? Well, they've learned from their mistakes. And trust me, there are a lot of puppets. COOL H.R. GEIGER PUPPETS!

Hmm... This is labeled as story #1. Where are the old pages, Harry? Where are the old blueish-grayish faded background pictures? Where's the classic Terminator page? You know the one... Fire and brimstone, nuclear death, never get to see Star Wars... While evolution must occur, there is something to be said for the availability of history, no? Those who do not remember history are destined to repeat it. Or something like that. Do you really want to take the chance and accidently repost a story about how Titanic has just been completed or how it's possible that Ewan McGregor would be cast as Obi Wan? Could make for an interesting situation if you do... Lost credibility, no more fans, no more ranking in the top 100 most influential people for Premiere magazine (congrats, by the way - better rating than EW gave you last year...). I'm pretty sure, however, that you'll never even see this post. If you do, drop a line. I know I probably won't check this story out again...
-
So Aycroid, you too like to spend your time going through old posts ? I personally am fascinated by what Harry has accomplished with this site.I am going through all the old posts because I wanna know what makes Harry tick.
-
I've been trying to use the search function to get to the old posts, but naturally it didn't work. Feel free to mail me if you where they are.
-
THis is bizzare. This old post is some ancient backwater, the forgotten catacombs of this site. Never know when the ghost of Lane Myers might jump at you. Is this really Story One of Harry? This place is too weird, I'm going now...
-
I have to say that I too am scared, and I won't hang around long, Just had to say how dissapointed that #1 was fucking species 2, what a piece of crap movie that was, anyway, see you other searchers of lost treasure in #2.
-
If you wanna know what happened to all the stuff older than this, read post 4000, the first couple paragraphs explain what happened.
-
I'm scared...mommy, hold me...

we have TOO much time on our hands :)

Harry was 50 pounds lighter, and us kiddies were counting down the days 'till Species II hit the big screen.

Ok, ok.... Well ,well..So this is the "first" topic? AAAAAAhhh the good old times....

Hey all, greetings from post 9414!

I thought that quote might be appropriate. I've travelled this time from Story 10,000 (King Conan script review). I can't believe how chipper my story eight-thousand post was. God how I've grown cynical in the intervening years...

The future is sweet, and not that cool. We're nearing the end of one of the worst summer movie seasons in history. So for all of you back at story 1, not that much to look forward to. Except that there is a LOTR trilogy being released very soon.....

Still here?

A. No. No it would not. - - - - - - - - - - - - I love that there are this many dorks going through old threads. Nerdy guys with time on your hands: I SALUTE YOU.

I didn't show up to one meeting and I miss something. What happened??

Wow I just love checking out the old AICN archives.I guess I do have to much time on my hands. Quite amazing the number of recent posts though.I think I will return here in the future. PS TTT will kick ass!!!!!!!!!

i see the cult of coming back to the first post is now dying. is this news item the very first, or just the first on a new databse? ironically i don't think the site design has changed since 1997.

...but a scoop for Species 2?? Goddamn!

What the fuck happened???

President Kevin Smith has imposed martial law and forced us to declare Episodes I through III as the best movies we've ever seen, after "Clerks 5: I Still Can't Make Any Money Off Anything Not Titled 'Clerks'"

Ah, back in the days when Harry didn't start every article with his own little hallmark: "Hey Folks, Harry Here...". Frankly, this is bizarre and disturbing if you ask me...I'm going to pretend I never typed that 1 into the end of that link and go back to the future for the last time.
-
Where is Exodus?
-
And isn't this ironic, er, moronic that Species III was just urinated out recently?

You've been hiding out here in the past for years.

I guess you've got your own legend... The AICN Time Traveller. To tell you the truth I might have to do the same thing, those old talkbacks are classics- the quality's gone to hell recently (maybe something to do with Harry's producing?). Anyway, until next time fellow TB Time Cop!

And yet you do. So I'm not to blame for any thread locking that might occur. Besides, I can keep it relevant: Species 2 was pointless. At least Species 1 had a kind of neat take on the genre, Species 2 was just regurgitation.

I come from the future to warn you about the end of the Universe.
by SalvatoreGravano
On the 21st day of December, the Year of the Calendar of 2012, time and space as you know it came to a halt. The universe did not implode, nor did it explode - but it stopped, frozen in time. From that point only, nothing new was created, and only remakes were made, of everything and everyone. Starting with films.
