Number 3 sent in some GORGEOUS pics from PRINCE OF EGYPT. I'm told this is an exclusive, meaning you have not seen these anywhere in the press. All I can say is WOW. If Dreamworks wanted to give Disney a slap of reality, then this film will surely have the beauty to do it. Take a look at this first picture:

That's Moses Mom placing the basket into the Nile for protection. Setting the baby adrift down the river. Nice lighting, notice the water around her waist, really quite well done.

The next pic is cool. I mean look at them fish. Sure does put Flounder to shame. So how much you bet the fish guide the basket? Or maybe they are the dolphins to the reed Titanic? I don't know, but if those fish move as good as they look... man, that will be a stunning sequence.

Above you see Moses' basket drifting into the Queen's bathing chamber. I just can't get over how pretty this stuff is. You can really tell that Katzenberg is shooting for the moon. I just hope he gets it, because I for one want a damn strong animation market. I like animation, I like different tones of animation, and from all accounts that's what they are doing here.

Below is the Queen (voice by Helen Mirren, who just signed on in the title role in Kevin Williamson's KILLING MRS TINGLE. picking up baby Moses.

Can you say widescreen vista? I knew you could. Man... that's just breath-taking. I wonder what the planned aspect ratio is for Prince of Egypt. Hmmm. Can't you just see the rippling reflective water of the Nile. Hmmm french horns perhaps?

YES!!! A Chariot race. Cool. I love Chariots. Below you see Moses (Val Kilmer) and Ramses (Ralph Fiennes) racing. Pretty darn dynamic looking.

Boy I sure hope I get more pics from this film, this is just stunning work. Dreamworks and their animation department should be proud as hell to create work that looks this good. I just hope they have the songs, music and tone to match. The worst thing that could happen would be a inconsistent tonal quality to the film. Like in Hunchback of Notre Dame, where you had dire seriousness and personal abuse, mixed with Las Vegas gambling musical number. I'm pretty sure these guys are going to nail this film, but my stomach quakes in anticipation. Keep up the great work DREAMWORKS!!!
