Hey folks, Harry here. Kevin Reynolds, who was last seen directing Samuel L Jackson in the greatly underappreciated 187, and director of many a Kevin Costner flick, has directed an adaptation of THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO. At the same time that I watch this trailer below, I can't help but feel a certain amount of sadness as Guillermo Del Toro had a script called MONTECRISTO which was an adaptation taking Montecristo into a gothic spaghetti western ala Leone mode. Of course, that project now has to take a back burner for the next 5 years so people can get past this version. Speaking of which, there's something rather off-ish about this trailer. I'm not really sure what it is, but it just feels TV miniseries-esque to me. I hope it's just a badly put together trailer, as Kevin Reynolds is a helluva director when it all comes together...
