Ok folks, I've been telling you this thing was happening for months now... And I've received a zillion, "Your full of macaroni!" accusations... Well, that may be so, but here's what Richard Donner told one GOONIE geek in Los Angeles yesterday!

Mr. Paisley here. Tonight I attended a release even for the new Superman DVD with an appearance by Richard Donner. In hopes of getting his signature, I grabbed my Goonies one sheet and headed to the store. After a very long wait, I got to meet Mr. Donner and asked him to sign the poster. He smiled as it unrolled and I told him how I loved the movie. He said he loved it to. At that point I asked if he knew anything about the sequel rumors brewing. He said he had read the script and it was shaping up well. When I asked if he was going to direct it. He said he was unsure, that his Goonies times may be over. In protest, I told him that the kids couldn't be as obnoxious now as they were then and here's where it gets good, he said, "True, but now there are more kids. Mikey and the gang are back, but there is a new group of kids (thiers?) also on the adventure.
If things progress, it sounds like the Spy Kids have a few new adversaries on the block.
