Hey folks, Harry here again with a tad more on OCEAN'S ELEVEN... did anyone happen to tape this Pay-Per-View and have video capture stuff so we can see that clip of the Lewis/Klitchko fight? Just curious...
Harry: Nothing big but just some info. Long time
fan, longer movie fan, shorter boxing fan. As you
know Ocean's 11 has a boxing match as the central
feature in Vegas. The match was going to be a
fictional bout between world champ Lennox Lewis of
England and evil monster Mike Tyson. That fell apart
(thank god because Tyson doesn't deserve a second of
screen time). They instead chose rising heavyweight
fighter Vladmir Klitchko (I know I butchered that).
This guy (and his brother) is built like a Russian
tank-HUGE. Apparently during the filming Vladmir
thought it was fun and playful and enjoyed it-Lewis
reported acted like he was ready to go for real. My
source for this is...the Pay-Per-View boxing special
last Saturday night between Prince Nazeem Hamed and
Oscar Barrera. They showed a clip of the
Lewis/Klitchko "fight" filming and mentioned the above
impressions. In addition, they mentioned that during
this pay-per-view fight that Soderbergh was in the
room filming crowd reactions to the real fight for the
film. Sorry I didn't write sooner. I know it's
nothing terribly exciting but I thought it was cool
that I have a fight on tape that might have crowd
scenes ending up in a Soderbergh film. Rob

GravyAkira sent in more pics, but unfortunately I just couldn't make hide nor tail out of them... and without a frame of reference for what they were supposed to be... I chose just the sign below and if the pics begin to make sense to me, I'll post the others later. Anyways... Enjoy...
Whats up Harry, just got back from Las Vegas and a stay at the Bellagio where they were filming the Ocean's Eleven remake. Those damn security guards stopped me from taking pictures of the actors in action. Let me just say the George Clooney was dressed in a black tux looking as he usually does. Julia Roberts was wearing a gold dress with black flip flops. The scene in question was taking place in the Picasso Restraint and also featured Elliot Gould. I did manage to take a few pics of a set where I believe a robbery will take place and an elevator the was going to be used in the future. I also got a chance to talk to Henry Silva(The serious faced mobster from Ghost Dog) who was in the original 11 and making a cameo in this. Saw Matt Damon at a poker table but no info on his character. I was conversing with one of the guards on the set she told me that she got a chance to talk to Andy Garcia. He said that he would play a head mafia boss type character. Brad Pitt was also there but didnt get a chance to see one of his scenes that he is filming. Steven Soderbergh seemed stressed for a shot he couldnt get. But hey, it was five in the morning so who wouldnt be. They will be shooting at the Bellagio for about 3 more weeks. And on Saturday, April 7they will start filming a boxing scene with Lenex Lewis at the MGM. Extras will be asked for according to one of the guards. All geeks try to get to Vegas. Its an easy chance to witness what could be one of the biggest movies of the year. Hope this little bit of info is useful. Sorry I coudnt get more pics.
