JOSIE Video & JUST VISITING Spot: Which Is Scarier'

Greetings, gluttons for punishment! ROBOGEEK here, with twin tests of tolerance to thoroughly tax thy tummy...

JUST VISITING - TV COMMERCIAL:

First off, we have the new 30-second TV spot for JUST VISITING, the long-delayed English-language remake of a very funny 1993 French farce called LES VISITEURS, which starred Jean Reno and Christian Clavier as a 12th century French nobleman and his hapless squire. Basically, the two are magically transported to contemporary France, humorous hijinks ensue, blah-blah-blah.

The remake (which also stars Reno and Clavier, along with Christina Applegate, Tara Reid, Bridgette Wilson and Malcolm McDowell) now transports the medieval French knight and squire to... modern Chicago. Hence, while watching the TV spot, I couldn't help but ponder one simple question...

How the hell do they know English?

Sigh...

I mean, I worship Reno as one of the coolest people to walk the earth, but this remake just... scares me (despite the fact that we ran a glowing review from a test screening last month).

JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS - MUSIC VIDEO TRAILER:

As much as I'm dying to see MOULIN ROUGE, I'm dreading JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS, which just gives me the heebie-jeebies (as most teen movies do).

And while logic tells me I should take some comfort in the presence of Parker Posey, Alan Cumming, and Seth Green, I'm instead filled with even more dread (perhaps because the evil that is Carson Daly more than cancels them all out).

Anyway, just when I thought I could handle the brewing JOSIE hype machine, the new music video trailer was unleashed online yesterday. If you dare, you can check it out via THIS LINK.
