Alright, Harry here... Is it becoming my job to check Reuters and the so-called mainstream press' homework? Alright, as best I can tell the story originated from the Swedish newspaper Expressen, then it can be traced to some London Tabloids, which then passed this story like the clap to Reuters and then that took it elsewhere.

As my fellow "Movie Rumor" sites have correctly colored this story as being covered with salt, I must ring in with an affirmative. Last week, the mainstream press went GAGA over Marilyn Manson and Tim Burton on WILLY WONKA.... and now somebody resurrects a quote from a couple of months after the release of ALIEN RESURRECTION that was taken out of context.... adds the malarky of a $25 million dollar film deal, which given the box office of that previous installment and the declining glimmer of Ms Weaver's bankability... I would call into high question... Plus the fact that there is no director, then there is the Joss Whedon script rumor... Well that was information from the time of the last film.

We are working to confirm our suspicions that this is complete manufactured bs from the tabloid world, which was then taken as fact by the traditional press. And until you read it on Hollywood Reporter or Variety... please don't send me it again.
