John Stewart isn't on the Daily Show tonight b/c he's out in LA shooting the PT Anderson movie. So is Robert Smigel.

And then we got this report about where they are shooting and when...

First off, I love the site! Second off--and I don't know if this is any help to ya--last night around 10:30 I accidentally ran into a PA working on PT Anderson's new picture. I and a beautiful lady friend drove into the parking lot of the Pacific movie theater at the Northridge Fashion Center and noticed a bright sign in the parking lot that read "X-4", with an arrow below the words (obviously directions for a shoot's parking). So I asked a nice lady standing in the parking lot if the sign had anything to do with PT's new picture. She was a bit surprised to hear that I knew what X-4 meant, but gave me a couple of small details concerning the movie's shooting schedule...
She said that the current scene was being filmed at a house just down the street (near Shirley and Plummer, in NR) and that they'd be shooting all over the Valley during the next 3 weeks. She was very friendly, but wouldn't give anything more than that and the fact that she was one of the last of the crew to go home for the night. Oh well, would've loved to hear a tidbit or two. :)
On a possibly-related note, a strip of Devonshire near Tampa has been closed off all day today. That area is just down the street from the aforementioned movie theater and seems to be used for films quite a bit.
