Just spotted this article on Popcorn.co.uk. Jay Roach talking about the next Austin Powers movie.

"Director Jay Roach is currently raking in praise for his new movie 'Meet The Parents', but he's already making plans for the next 'Austin Powers' film. Speaking to Popcorn, Roach reveals that filming on the third movie in the franchise is likely to begin next autumn. Mike Myers will, of course, return to play the dual roles of Austin and his nemesis, Dr Evil.

As for the plot, Roach let slip the following details: "We have a concept based on a prequel, where Dr Evil and Austin are together in the 1950s as young men in some academy.

"Of course, something goes wrong," continues the director. "Dr Evil goes off to some zone and Austin launches the British revolution in American music and colour, just to annoy Dr Evil."

While Myers is a dead cert to return, Roach reveals a high-profile possibility, saying, "We've always wanted Sean Connery to do something. We've tried talking to his people [and] they were very polite - schedules and stuff - but he may just not want to go there."
