John Travolta considering playing Parker in GREEN EAGLE SCORE'

I just heard that Warner Brothers has approached John Travolta to play the role of Parker (played twice before by Lee Marvin and Mel Gibson) The film is called GREEN EAGLE SCORE. No word as to what period the film will be set. There is no director at the moment, but there is a script floating about by Alexander Ignon. Personally i don't see Travolta as Parker... but that could be a good thing if he accepts. Travolta is going to need a redefining role after BATTLEFIELD EARTH seeps out on screens this summer. Perhaps playing a tough as nails anti-hero out to rob the Airforce's Finance office based on a Richard Stark novel is just the thing. We'll see, I've liked the two Parker movies I've seen thus far.
